  1. Pathetic.
  2. I would ask if Joe Manchin, Sinema and the rest are fine with this image, but I don't want to know the answer.
  3. Thanks for the more precise date. If you aren't on Youtube then I will try to tell them this info later.
  4. I never had a lot of use for his story on Designing Women but I always liked him. He was a great guest star for many shows. I never knew he and Jean Smart were married.
  5. Guest-starring Adam Nagourney, who I hadn't thought of in years (he was a big hack in the W era).
  6. https://deadline.com/2021/03/craig-mums-grant-dead-oz-hightown-slam-poetry-1234721763/ Poet was one of the more consistent and compelling characters on Oz for me - his arc was so incredibly depressing in a way that felt much more real than a lot of the melodrama on the show did.
  7. I'm glad she passed away in her sleep. She's one of those people I thought would always be around - it's shaken me up. What a body of work she left behind.
  8. So sad to hear this. Really upset me today. I know KL wasn't a big role for her (it wasn't even her biggest soap role - that was Bare Essence), but her episode was one of the first I saw, and I just loved her work. She and Michele Lee played off each other so believably.
  9. @Vee I also saw this. There seems to be far more effort from the Beltway to try to frame and cheerlead her consistently poor and self-absorbed efforts (she was also the one who got giddy over rushing up to Lisa Murkwoski to show her tweets from Neera Tanden) than to actually cover today's America. I also saw various idiots on the right trying to make Biden saying he had joined the Senate 120 years ago into a big thing. Pathetic. And this, referencing W's grimy, slimy ex-mouthpiece.
  10. This is going to become a drinking game.
  11. I think one of the problems is that the found families for most of The City's lifespan were unknown or barely known to viewers. There weren't that many longstanding friendships to carry over.
  12. Thanks. It''s a shame all the old episodes were wiped off Youtube as it's hard to match now.
  13. Not sure if this episode was already around or not.
  14. The Washington Post tends to get an unearned pass, but they consistently have the most cutesy, desperate-to-be-liked "reporters" around. Somehow this makes me cringe even more than when Dave Weigel was reposting Salo images to try to get anyone to believe the trust fund kids at Chapo wouldn't walk over his corpse.
  15. I always enjoy these episodes more with commercials. The Canadian ads added a different flavor. I know this is not seen as a great period for the show, but aside from those boring, overlong Colton scenes, I thought it was a decent episode. The Jerome family crime drama was gripping - loved seeing Linda Cristal too.
  16. Same old nonsense and chair-rearranging.
  17. General Hospital - BCTV 1988 - full episode with commercials - YouTube
  18. The main problem with Kendall wasn't a man, it was being treated as a plot device. She was a plot device for Ryan, Greenlee, and later, Zach.
  19. Loved that movie.
  20. I thought George was so handsome and was so underrated in both comedy and drama.
  21. Even though she said she would vote for non-white nominees, it is also unfortunate that she chose today to overshadow Shalanda Young's approval by the Senate, considering Young is seen as a strong choice to become OMB director. The GOP has spent a lot of time and effort furthering tension between black and Asian-American groups - she gave them a big gift today, between this and mentioning VP Harris.
  22. I remember hearing back when she was first running for higher offices that she was not a very good candidate. That was my first thought when I saw this. It's incredibly tone deaf, it plays right into the hands of people who claim that Democrats only care about quotas and identity politics. It will do nothing to help Asian-Americans, and will likely only hurt them because now every single one of them will be seen as being chosen solely to tick a box, not because of their merits.
