Thanks for reading. They had a lot of articles in the 70's to the late 90's about this issue. Now I don't know what they'd bother to say, other than scolding readers to stop complaining.

The backlash over the David/Valerie story hurt so much potential for daytime to change and grow. I'd never seen that comic. Thanks for finding it. I guess they were allowed to publish because it had an unhappy ending.

Is the mystery woman Dru Hayley's story is just fascinating to read. I love this long downward spiral. It seems so real. I'm glad that Skye and Adam aren't having an instant reunion.

Joan Hotchkis, who played Myra Lake on Secret Storm, was offered a role on Bright Promise after My World and Welcome To It was canceled, but she declined.

I wish this was available to see. I've heard so much about it and it sounds delicious. We saw some of that bile during the Mac/Rachel divorce wars in 1979. Welcome to the board.

I know everyone here hates Andy Murray, but I feel a little sorry for him, considering he wasn't just playing for himself, but for 74 years of losses.

The only one I ever liked was Alex Donnelly. I'm so impressed by her work even in this short clip. She was so controlled and calm.

Hadn't seen this before (the promo or the start of the episode). The Adam custody/paternity story was a bust and so unpleasant, but I do like the promo. The opening is a good example of when they started ruining Margo and Tom. There was a lot of grisliness and excessive earnestness and trashiness all mixed together. I hated all the forced hysteria in the Karen stories (and that hostage crisis), then I hated the show dumping Jason and Julie after spending so much time developing the characters. It just all bothered me. I know some of it wasn't their fault - the Claudia stuff was unsalvageable, and I would have written her out.

This was the long recap of the season 13 premiere (I like that they had those 3-4 minute recaps). The stories were from the season 12 cliffhanger. I was so fond of Knots Landing so the horrific wrapup of the end of season 12 stuck in my craw. The Linda stuff was a mess but the worst was to come (Linda being murdered - the end of Knots for me). Claudia murdering her son, and Karen's vigilante story gone wrong, on the other hand, were huge clunkers, writing disasters that anyone who knew what they were doing should have avoided. Claudia's character was destroyed and Karen was stuck in a terrible "message" story which had been banished during season 2. I can never forget those awful scenes in the premiere of Ma Joad berating Karen about the little people.

I haven't watched yet but the woman was either Elizabeth or Jackie. I think the foreign woman helped Roger when he had been shot by Holly and he blackmailed Alan into getting him out of the country. She fell in love with him but did not know how evil he was. She eventually got together with Mike, but then died.
