Val was much stronger in the early seasons, and she had a certain inner peace which was forgotten later on, when she was written as having brain damage (and finally they literally did give her brain damage). Ted Shackleford's drunk acting always seemed a little hammy to me.

I watched Thursday's episode (I think it was Thursday) and the Janine scenes were so sad. I always hate when Janine needs others to approve of her. I didn't have a big problem with the behavior of Zainab and Denise (it's not like they're her friends), but I was very annoyed that Rose was so rude when Janine employs her and gave her a bonus. The Heather story kind of seems to go around in circles.

I read some articles saying they are concerned about the handling of Bain - do you remember which articles mentioned concern over the whole campaign? I think they must know the campaign is a mess but know their $$$$ wins out over all else. Speaking of $$$$, I hope the money train stops rolling for Palin now that she's saying Condi's pro-choice views shouldn't disqualify her. That is treason to the base of the GOP.

I was hoping Jack no longer existed. The gay community has enough to deal with... The mystery woman seems to have red hair. Is Opal out for blood? Did Erica shut down a local Wendy's? The Skye/Blair dialogue in this was great. I was sorry to see their conversation end. So Lucas is holding Mateo's corpse and pretending he's still alive. Lucas is really far gone. (Don't take away my dream!) That last part with Hayley was just chilling. She's become such a mess, but it's all so believable. My heart goes out to the character. I can "see" her in this, more than almost any time with characters in a fanfic.

You'd think so, but Romney's entire campaign so far has been pitched to those voters. The far right groups have been out saying they know it won't be Condi, since Romney promised them a pro-life VP. So I have to assume they're right.

I don't really believe that. I think this is a shell game so that the true believers (the only ones Romney cares about, and the only ones the money men care about) will be more relieved when the choice is more boring and safe, like Portman or the odious "T-Paw."

I'm glad that you didn't tell us all of Anjelica's secrets. That means this story had a big reveal but still has more to come. It's such fun. The scene with Lucas and Clint was good too, very believable, although I was surprised at Lucas having the chuckle, as I didn't get the impression he was supposed to be a complete sociopath. I like the credits. The music is catchy. Will there be one for Anjelica? The Skye/Erica talk was OK, but I think the slap in the face was somewhat out of place. I think if someone slapped Erica, she'd hit them back, or be flustered and angry. Aside from telling Skye to leave, she barely seemed to react. It was sort of like Skye slapped her and then Erica forgot a second later.

It's definitely a very real and painful conversation - it's tough seeing him that way when she's so broken down, but very well acted. This also has a lot of good acting from A and Marcy, and then Robin Wright. He and Robin have a lot more chemistry than he did with Eileen Davidson, although I'm glad the show didn't go there when Robin was in the role. This also has a fun Gina/Pamela scene.
