  1. Another 1981 episode. I don't think I ever posted the first one here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpT6cnuj09M
  2. Some chunks of summer 1996. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPFZrUJf9-E&feature=channel&list=UL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJODu9e0sp8&feature=channel&list=UL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYvoCpoKkzM

  4. Not that I know of. Speaking of that, Doris Day sent a letter a month or two ago to an AIDS bike run, where she talked about Rock. I thought that was nice. video gone
  5. OK. Just don't get a bigger trailer.
  6. Jane Wyman is feuding with you now, from the great hereafter.
  7. Thanks for reading. I will try to post more when I have a chance.
  8. I don't blame you. I hate that too. Unfortunately most of my long rambles here don't get erased, they just don't get replies. I spent way too much time on those in the Falcon Crest thread.
  9. That sucks. I would have loved reading that. I always love these long, rambling, reviews, especially when I'm not the one writing them!
  10. I hope you can give us some reviews (especially of the stand-alone episodes that get such stick). I think Diana was too unlikeable to be a lead character. Paige was the same way in her first season, until they made her more vulnerable and caring. I thought the show handled Olivia very badly in her last years. Making her Abby's constantly ungrateful/whiny daughter, then all the boring money stories and more unpleasantness after Abby left. They should have either just made her an outright bitch or dropped the bad attitude. I felt like Val was relatively well-adjusted after she got the babies back. It seemed to be losing Ben (who, unlike Gary, not only loved Valene, but also genuinely liked her, at least until that Cathy story I don't want to talk about) and having to crawl back into Gary's orbit. Then LML started writing her as a complete victim and a joke.
  11. The Hayley/Clint scenes were great, although I think Clint is being a little too nice compared to what he's been in recent years. I'm really interested in Hayley's story, it's much better than anything AMC gave her in her last 4-5 years on the show. Skye and Blair working together until Skye lowers the boom will be a good read.
  12. The woman who played her was unable to continue acting, as she was too senile to remember her lines. A few months after this, an old love of Minnie's showed up in Weatherfield and told her friends Ena and Albert that she had decided to live with him, and he was there to pack up her belongings. Ena gave him something she knew Minnie would really want. He left, and they had Ena and Albert standing on the road, solemn, realizing they were the only two left. Corrie was unable to write proper exits for most of their older characters for many years. Even now, they still suck at it (Betty's shameful exit).
  13. That was one of the most shocking moments I can remember on any soap.
  14. What's with all the ugly animal print? Apparently none of them were ever models...

  16. That's sad to hear She was Buffie Harrington, who was a big part of 1970 parallel time when most of the actors were away filming House of Dark Shadows. She was the first character to have a TV set. She was a waitress at their version of the Blue Whale. She was tough, had a great voice; even when Barnabas eventually bit her, she still had some personality. I hated that she just vanished.
  17. This is the type of thing that helped sink Kerry, although it won't hurt Romney, since he's a Republican, and we'll just hear CLASS WARFARE CLASS WARFARE. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2012/07/ill_just_say_it_i.php?ref=fpblg
  18. Viki/Victoria. I can see the reason for changing, although then you could have cast both roles with Julie Andrews. I forgot to mention that I'm glad you used the title of a classic soap.
  19. So Jacqueline is also named Victoria? I didn't keep track of that. As mentioned, good cliffhanger. I normally can't get into new characters in fics, as it's just difficult and when you see actors you may know from other roles, it starts to become blurry, but I am getting into the Brandon/Jacqueline story.
  20. The far right would eat her alive. She supports affirmative action and was never a popular figure among the true believers. Cheney bashed her in print.
  21. Her comments make sense from the far right and the media point of view. If they paint themselves as victims (which is what happens every time a Republican is criticized - when Democrats complain about attacks they're just seen as weak), the press and much of the public will go along.
