Was Luis off the show at that time or did they recast the role temporarily? I guess this has already been discussed but what did you think of the temp recasts? I don't even remember how many there were. I know Priscilla Garita was a sub for Lindsay Korman.

I was always kind of surprised at how fans seemed to accept Fancy/Luis after all the time spent on Sheridan/Luis, especially since Reilly usually didn't change OTP stories unless the actor left or was fired.

The comparison to B&B makes a lot of sense - at least when B&B was at its best (camp and very appealing young heroines).

So the change in Sheridan just happened overnight?

Wow. Nathalie Emmanuel was often considered one of the worst actresses on Hollyoaks. I know this show tends to focus more on the women having their clothes taken off, but I'm still surprised.

I have to laugh whenever I see the comments about how she was the light and the way until Kirkwood ruined her. She had one decent story (the first part of the Tony story). The wrapup was poor, the Billie story was garbage. She just isn't a sympathetic or likeable character. If anything Kirkwood gave her the only other good story she had (the prostitution story).

Season 3 dove so deep into the characters. I honestly don't know if I would have been hooked on the show if I'd started watching a few seasons later, because, as well-plotted and rich as the stories were, I wouldn't have felt a connection to the characters.
