  1. What incredible hypocrisy. The big new conservative darling has scooped up tons and tons of money from a pro-gay donor. How many of these true believers actually practice what they preach? http://www.texastribune.org/texas-politics/2012-elections/ted-cruzs-gay-billionaire-donor-draws-criticism/
  2. The far right gets another token, which they will probably need, given Marco Rubio struggling to live up to all the breathless hype. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/post/ted-cruz-wins-republican-runoff-for-texas-senate-seat/2012/07/31/gJQADsLtNX_blog.html
  3. A Donna/Nicole rivalry would make sense - they very abruptly wrote Nicole back in and back out and it was obvious that Nicole/Michael were supposed to be paired at that time.
  4. Thanks. I'm sorry that her soap time didn't have a happier ending. Considering how uneven ATWT was during the first Dobson run I'm not sure if she would have lasted, but I wonder what part they had in mind for her. I also wonder what that AW role, with the sister. Could it have been something with Julia?
  5. Interview with Page Moseley. http://santabarbara-online.com/InterviewPMoseley2.htm
  6. There was a People's Choice Awards clip but that was just Valerie Harper talking about the show
  7. I didn't realize Jess initially did the same Eurotrash accent Brenda was doing at the end. I'm glad she dropped it once she felt more comfortable in the role. This early Nina is such a blast to watch, although she's kind of crazy and bitchy.
  8. You have to laugh...or you would if this man wasn't so close to becoming President. The outrage over a reporter asking a question. http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entries/romney-aide-curses-at-press-in-poland?ref=fpb
  9. Hayley is now doing everything but shaving her head and beating cars with umbrellas. It's a riveting read. She just behaves like some type of a functional zombie. I feel so much of her torment and lashing out. Skye has been very patient but I think this may be the last straw for her. I love the part about the nail marks on Clint's cheek - that's a great image. I thought the part with James was a little too expository and his lines about his past could have waited for another chapter, but you managed to find a photo of Peter Porte where he doesn't look like Sam the Eagle, so that's a feat. I don't have any use for Jack, or the idea that his terrorizing Shane was all down to his sexuality, but I liked Blair's reactions in this chapter and how they believably go from anger to disbelief to pain for her son. Tad and Lindsay move very fast! I laughed at Lindsay's little dig at Melanie. What a ridiculous character she was.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DadDSfo8gzk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFLXAq_hYNo&feature=channel&list=UL There are three more clips at their channel.
  11. More Mitt blundering around the world, and more of, "It doesn't matter! No one cares!" If it doesn't matter, why did he go on this trip in the first place? http://www.suntimes.com/news/world/14110225-505/another-hiccup-mitt-romney-outrages-palestinians-during-foreign-trip.html
  12. I put it in the GL thread.
  13. Spring 1993 Soap Opera Illustrated
  14. Thanks. I'd never read that before. Great insights. I guess that didn't last long...
  15. It's never Todd's fault - the show made sure of that, over and over. I have a Fiona photo I don't think you've seen before, although it's from her time on GL, not OLTL.
  16. Jami and Monique are the new Sarah and Zoe! The Lucinda/Lisa sparring is always fun. Enjoyed Bob and Kim's party too.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsGXZa0ufLU I never knew Gina and Jack were friends. What happened to that? Brenda's "British" accent here drives me batty. I wonder if Patty Weaver was making fun with the "old girl," which is more of a British saying.
  18. I thought Tad and Dottie were never really much of a couple, he was paid to date her and then got her pregnant and had to marry her. I never knew they had their own promo like this (which reminds me of the Miss Piggy chase scene in Muppets Take Manhattan) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohBbHY3nkIA&feature=channel&list=UL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIHvaE2CKy0&feature=autoplay&list=ULohBbHY3nkIA&playnext=1
  19. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Great to see more Lara Parker fans.
  20. I'm not sure if the Mitchells are that important at this point. Maybe Phil, but that's about it.
  21. Great promo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlggkwPcvDM
  22. Thanks. I appreciate those details. I'd love to know even more about them, as bringing in an entire family for black characters was rare in 1970, but this info is far more than I'd expected. I wonder if Bell had plans which were not allowed to go forward.
  23. James Scott looks so young there. Aging did him a favor.
  24. I've never heard of them either. Maybe Jason knows more. Or Jam.
  25. Theresa has such an old Hollywood style, mixed in with her rough looks.
