She did, but the back was bothering her before. She should not have played doubles, especially since Venus didn't do much to help her. She already had the tender ankle from the first match. She should have never played the damn worthless doubles! I think she mostly did that for Venus.

Serena never recovered from the bad ankle, and she never should have played the doubles where Venus failed her! Sloane did a great job, and she better bring it home! I'm pissed!

That had to be one of the best matches Serena has played, and this says alot! She was flawless, her form was great and she remembered who she was and why she's there. Kirilenko never stood a chance, and she didn't even play poorly. She simply had nothing to fight with. Serena was so on that it was scary. That was a first rate performance if I've ever seen one. Funny thing is, she only needed to play half as good to beat Maria. Wow is all I can say. I'm so sleep deprived right now, but it was so worth it. The AO is my favorite slam, but the time difference is for the dogs!

What do you guys think of the final set no tie break rule? It's cruel, IMHO! That is way too grueling, and it takes me back to Wimbledon Isner/Mahut a few years back. Absolutely ridiculous how long officials allowed that to go on. They need to do away with that rule!
