  1. Yes, I remember those advertisements! I don't think I'd ever seen an episode of Dynasty at this point, but I was glued to that special.
  2. Ah okay, now the Bunker stuff makes sense. I get it that he'd been on the show prior to this storyline, but us this the first time they've talked about his hatred of Hope Memorial and where it comes from? I think he and Matt mentioned that the accident happened "ten years ago," so it wouldn't have actually been on the show.
  3. I think he's a piece of work, but I sorta chuckle at how utterly shameless he is at being obnoxious and self-centered. It's hilarious how he always ends up in the middle of things and no one ever just tells him to get the hell out. When he showed up at the hotel after they pulled Liz off the ledge, he just rolled in the room and positioned himself right in her face as everyone stood and watched, and he just started messing with her like it's his job. I have to admire his brazenness But I wouldn't be against someone just hauling off and smacking him. Maggie's more than capable. I'm intrigued by this Anderson story y'all are talking about! Somebody spoiler tag it so I can see what's going on lol
  4. I'm getting there!! So disappointing that she keeps running back to Nick, another character that I'm not too crazy about. I just started the ep from Friday, February 9, and it begins with Liz coming downstairs after Nick told her in the previous episode that Althea losing her baby doesn't mean they'll get back together. About how far away am I from Polly's niece(s) coming and Steve returning to the screen?
  5. John to Liz after her dilemma on the ledge: "How would you like to see a handsome young intern with a delicious box of candy? Or maybe a delicious young intern with a handsome box of candy?" *SWOON* *SWOON* *SWOON* I am so in love with this little soap. Dreadfully behind (about 2 months, 1968-time), but desperately trying to catch up. After the Liz-on-the-Ledge debacle, I've come to really understand and appreciate the character, so now the only one who pisses me off is that wannabe jump-off Karen. Oh, and someone needs to slash Nathan Bunker's tires. I still have a soft spot for Ruth Winters, and shame on that idiot Bill for having alcohol in the house and drinking in front of his wife, the recovering alcoholic who has told him that she's thought about going back to booze. What an ass. The guy Finch was completely terrifying, and I guess years of watching more recent soaps had me assuming that he and Liz would eventually become friends or something stupid like that. I'm glad they really went full-on creeper with him without turning it into some kind of cute quirk. It's really hard to pick my favorite performers, but I'd say Terry Kiser, Bethel Leslie, Liz Hubbard, Carolee Campbell, and Jim Pritchett are the most consistent and always at the top of their game in every scene.
  6. I'm really looking forward to this. I mean, it doesn't come close to touching the MerryThon that TV Land used to do in its prime, but it'll be great to see some of these shows in a decent times lot for a change. Namely, Petticoat Junction, That Girl, The Donna Reed Show, Family Affair, Dobie Gillis, Car 54, as well as Doris Day, Laverne & Shirley, Rhoda, and Mary Tyler Moore making some appearances.
  7. Apparently, there's gonna be a big Dynasty reunion at an autograph show in LA in January. Scheduled to attend, so far, are Al Corley, Gordon Thomson, Jack Coleman, Pamela Sue Martin, John James, Kathleen Beller, Pamela Bellwood, Leann Hunley, Stephanie Beacham, and Joan Collins as Alexis. They keep adding people, so we could get more.
  8. BRUH, so much deliciousness in these last few episodes of season 4. Dominique and Alexis's first meeting is just a glorious embarrassment of bitches. You could mainline the shade. Kirby: "You bitch." Alexis: "If I am, take a lesson from me. You may need it in life." Sammy Jo is so ratchet and basic, it's unbelievable, but I love her anyway. I'm sad about Mark's death, but I can already feel that the show is in transition in preparation for a very different S5. Gordon Thomson's ass is the stuff of dreams. I could watch Adam strut around in those short shorts all day.
  9. I'm nearing the end of season 4 and Sammy Jo has just returned (ahem Samantha). I'm dying at how dismissive everyone is of her! Also, picking out the character themes is fun. Sammy Jo and Steven had an argument and they kept doing stings based off each character's theme.
  10. Did [S.W.S.N.B.N.] write that [!@#$%^&*]?
  11. This whole thing isn't as hard for me to digest I guess as it is for others. We were never huge Cosby fans in my house/family. IDK if my parents watched TCS when it originally aired on Thursday nights, but we didn't really watch the reruns (which was something we did a lot of for 70s/80s shows in the 90s/00s). I regularly watched a little bit here and there, but there was a LOT about it that annoyed the sh!t out of me, a lot of which ties in to Bill's "call out" talks. Honestly, the only BC thing that I have REALLY enjoyed and actually made me a fan was discovering reruns of his first sitcom, where he played a high school PE teacher. I wonder if his obsession with forced sex goes back that far.
  12. I really DON'T understand why we're still on the subject of Janice's credibility.
  13. Yes, I know, but Janice's reputation is really irrelevant when there were several women who spoke out before her.
  14. This isn't just about Janice, for ficks' sake!! She's one of NUMEROUS women, and you have absolutely no reason to view them all as pathological liars.
  15. I watched the full AP video, and Is Camille on drugs?? Bill is being a stuttering mess, and she's just beaming at him with absolutely no life behind her eyes.
  16. I'm sorry, but some people here are really just sad cases with absolutely no sense of reality outside of their own naive world. Good-[!@#$%^&*]-bye. Where is my two college degrees at, doe?
  17. I saw a slide show on their website. I was mostly drawn to it because of Little House on the Prairie (which seemed to be the centerpiece of the feature, once again proving that LHOTP will never. die.), but I too was surprised to see Sisters there. I've only seen two episodes, but I enjoyed them. Their reunion photo was very fresh, and they could totally update that series with that cast.
  18. An extended mix of the theme is available for digital purchase on Amazon as part of an album of what seems to be a slew of stock music cues of the era. I don't think they're all Cobert pieces or were ever featured on The Doctors.
  19. Extremely behind, currently watching near the end of January 1968. I do believe Karen is the original thirsty bitch! I'm glad Maggie's catching on to her game! Can't wait for an epic showdown. Bethel Leslie is amazing. The "Liz ran away" story annoys me. I've always hated stories where a bunch of adults are besides themselves with grief over another adult's actions because they've done nothing but coddle and baby her. Ruth Winters and Danny are just the sweetest thing in the world.
  20. DAMN lol I love the gasps from the audience as Wendy talked.
  21. I'm about a week behind (yay being a teacher flooded in work!), but I'm looking forward to the Ruth stuff! I'm guessing this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm really fascinated by her story. This was definitely the era for "she's come undone" stories/movies, so I'm interested to see how they do this.
  22. Catching up on this week's episodes. Nick Bellini really is a piece of sh!t!
  23. The Farmer's Daughter was supposed to be on Antenna when the channel first started, but there were issues with digitizing the master tapes or something like that idk
  24. Oh, I know! I just meant that I never thought I'd actually be able to watch anything from that era, episode-by-episode. I feel that we'll never get any official access to early Y&R or DAYS until they're canceled. GH has an archive of all of its 60s episodes, I believe. UCLA is holding the first seven years' worth, but I'm not sure of the quality of those eps.
