    Enter The Chandler Zone

I sooooooooo don't want to go to work tomorrow. It's not that I hate my job, it's just that there is nothing for me to do until our new director starts. It's the ideal job for someone who likes to be bored, but I can't deal with it for much longer. Yeah I have a great view of the ocean, and yeah the boardwalk is right outside of our gate, but it's been too damn hot for me to be out there. Plus the humidity messes up my hair. If I spike it in the morning, it'll completely fall out by mid afternoon.

Anyways, back to work, I need so many things for my office. I need a new computer for one thing, I also need the city to network my office to the main building so I can have internet access, I also need the IT guys to set up my city e-mail account. I know things are slow, but jeeze, I've waiting for Internet access since April.

We so need some young hot girls in my department. There's like nothing but old people near me. Now I don't mean this to insult the elderly, but it sucks not being attracted to anyone in my department. I guess the brightside is I can roll over to my window and check out the chicks on the beach. I must say, South Jersey has some pretty hot girls. Gotta love them.

Anyways, today we have a meeting with the new director after the board of director's meeting. The new director starts October 3rd if I'm not mistaken. Thank god she's coming. I hope I won't have any problems with her. The past interim director didn't like the fact that I worked for city hall at my young age. It's not my fault I can type better than most of the people at City Hall.

I noticed Na'Velle posted his blog entry and mentioned Rockland County. I am also a part of Rockland County. I play Elijah Phillips. Now I've been playing a guessing game with the creator of RC (Roger Newcomb) about Elijah's past. I think Elijah is the illegitimate son of the powerful Paul Ramos. I have no proof to back this up, it's just a feeling. Anyways, I want to thank Roger for letting me be a part of the web soap. I personally hate my phone voice, so I try to play with it a lot. I guess he never chooses the version that I like, lol. I've been told I'm getting better though. It's kinda hard to play a scene one sidedly. Anyways, here's a plug for Rockland County! Rockland County airs Wednesday's and Friday's at 9:45am ET on Radio Loger and repeats on Soap Opera Radio (Live 365) throughout the week. Each episode is about 10 minutes long. RC is also available on podcast. Check out the Rockland County Website

Yeah, that's what's happens to me. I jump from topic to topic and begin rambling like I am now. The readers will get used to it. It happens a lot. Later on today I'll be covering the personal issue that kept me away for almost two weeks.

Cassandra woke up and looked around the unfamiliar room. She sighed as she got out of bed. She pulled on some shorts and a tee shirt and pulled her hair back into a ponytail. Not hearing any noise, she walked towards the kitchen and saw the cook. “Where is everyone?”

“Alexander left early this morning. He said he will be back soon. Would you like some breakfast?” The cook asked.

    Cassandra nodded politely. “Yes please.”

The cook served Cassandra some toast, fruit and a glass of orange juice. “Alexander said you are not to leave the premises. He wants to talk to you when he gets back.”

Cassandra looked out the window. “Yes ma’am. I will not leave.”

The doors to the 5th Floor Nurses’ station open up, showing Michael Corinthos III stepping off the elevator. He slings his backpack over his shoulder and makes his way to the desk.

“Hi, excuse me miss?” Michael says to the pretty nurse working on the computer. “I’m looking for someone who works here. Maybe you can help me.”

“Michael?” says a voice behind him.

Michael turns around and is surprised to see Elizabeth. “Umm..hi.”

“Aren’t you supposed to do be in school?” she asks.

“Yeah….but I had something to do.” Michael turns away and rolls his eyes. Michael hasn’t really liked Liz since he found out she cheated on his cousin Lucky. “Maybe you can help me,” he says. “I need to talk to someone….about my mom.”

Liz’s stomach drops. It’s no secret she hates Carly. Carly’s always putting her nose in things that don’t concern her. Hell, she still blames Carly for meddling in her relationship with Jason and Lucky. “Well Michael if you want to talk to me you can.”

“No offense Elizabeth, but you’re not someone I would talk to about my mom. Is Dr. Winters around?” Michael says looking around, anxious to find someone other than Elizabeth.

“I can leave a message for her to call you if that’s what you’d like.”

“Yes, that’s good.” Michael hands her a piece of paper with his number on it. He walks to the elevator and steps on. He keeps the doors from closing and says, “Thank you Nurse Webber….Elizabeth. This is really important to me.”

Liz smiles at Michael and says you’re welcome. She picks up the phone and begins calling Lainey.

Back inside the elevator, Michael tosses the hair from his eyes and sighs. “I hope mom understands what I’m trying to do.”

The role of Serena Baldwin will now be played by Ambyr Childers (ex-Colby, AMC).

Serena dumped her books on her bed and shook Maxie awake. “Wake up, it’s like eleven! Don’t you have summer class or something?”

Maxie punched her pillow. “Or something.” She mumbled into her pillow. “Why are you waking me up?”

“Hunter hasn’t been in class in a week. He won’t answer my calls or my texts. I stopped by his dorm room and Jack said he is gone. All of his stuff is packed up and gone. Apparently he’s been gone almost a week. He never told me he was leaving.” Serena tosses her phone on the bed. “In fact, he told me he was going to stay in Port Charles for the summer.” Serena said angrily.

Maxie pushed herself up into a sitting position. “Why do you care about that loser anyways? Do I have to remind you how he acted the second your back was turned and he was with that brunette tramp? Mind you, this wasn’t the first time he’s done that. So he left, just let it go. You’ll get over it. All guys leave. Trust me.”

Serena wasn’t buying it. “No Maxie, not all guys leave. Hunter and I had something special. You wouldn’t understand.”

“I wouldn’t understand.” Maxie snorted. “Please Serena. I have the real deal before. Your relationship with Hunter was about as special as receiving a gift from your boyfriend…that he gave to his ex. Hunter was a loser with a complex who hit on girls right before your eyes! Wake up! That is not something special. It’s lame.”

Serena laid down on her bed and focused on a mark on the ceiling. She stayed like that for a long time. “Maybe you are right.” She said slowly. “Maybe I should let it go.”

“You should.” Maxie wasn’t being mean when she said, “I hate to say this, but everyone gets dumped sometimes. It happens. Maybe his plan was to go home early and not tell you. It has happened to the best of us, we just have to move on.”

“I know.” Serena rolled over and let her blond hair fall into her face. “I just have never been dumped like this before. I don’t want to cry any more though, you know?”

“Crying over a guy is so lame anyway.” Maxie said confidently. “This summer we will have an awesome time! Think of all the guys we will meet! In no time you will be saying Hunter who?” Maxie laughed. “I can’t believe I have to go to summer school, but so be it. At least you will be here with me.” Maxie lay back down. “I’m going back to sleep, ok?”

Alexander walked through the front doors of the mansion that he and Cassandra were currently living. He has a lot of things on his mind and he didn’t need Cassandra giving him a hard time. He made his way into the kitchen where he figured she might be. Looking like a little girl lost, she sat there eating her breakfast. He nodded to the cook. “Can you excuse us please? I need to talk to Cassie.”

Cassandra whipped around in her chair, happy to see Alex. “Alex, where have you been? I was getting worried about you. You have been gone a long time.”

Alexander sat down next to her. “There is no need to worry, I’m fine. Did you sleep alright?”

“Just fine. Where did you go this morning?”

“I had some business to attend to in Port Charles. Everything is good now.” He smiled tenderly at her. “Everything is just fine.

Cassandra still looked worried. “Did you? You know…. Did you see?”

Alex wiped his hand across his brow and frowned, cutting her off. “Cassie, you know I hate it when you ask me these questions. You know you aren’t supposed to yet you continually ask. What do you think will happen when the day comes when I am not here to protect you? You don’t want a repeat performance, do you?”

Cassandra shook her head and whispered. “No. I’m sorry.”

Alex picked her up and hugged her tightly. “I’ll always protect you…remember that.”

Cassie smiles, tucks her hair behind her head and walks out the room. Alex takes a cup of coffee from the counter and walks out to the terrace overlooking the water. A devious smile forms on his lips.

    The next morning…..

Alfred walked into Nikolas’ living room and announced, “Master Nikolas, a Mr. Jason Morgan is here.”

Nikolas looked up from his desk and shook his head. “If he’s here to see Carly, tell him she’s unavailable. She’s not feeling well today.” Nikolas said as he went back to his work.

“Too late, I’m already here.” Jason said, walking past Alfred. Nikolas nodded and Alfred left the two men alone. “Is everything alright with Carly? Michael called me last night and asked me to come out here. He wouldn’t tell me what was wrong. Is it the baby?”

“The children and Carly are fine. Carly’s not feeling well today so she is not up for visitors, even you Jason. Michael and Morgan are having breakfast and will be leaving for school soon. If you want to come back later to see Michael you can.” Nikolas replied stiffly, trying to usher Jason out of the room.

Jason stared at him blankly. “No. I think I’ll stay. Michael called me again this morning. I came all the way out here to talk to him and I am not leaving until I do.”

Nikolas leaned back against the arm of the couch. “Jason, we are going through an extraordinarily difficult time right now. I am asking you to respect that and leave us alone.”

“I don’t think so.” Jason said as Michael came running into the room. “I thought I heard you Jason. Nikolas, Jason and I will be right outside and I will be right back to get Morgan.” Michael said as he led Jason out of the living room and outside. “Thanks for coming so quickly Jason.”

“Yeah buddy, anytime. What’s going on?” Jason asked, concerned.

Michael sighed and looked out in the distance to where the horses were. Then he started talking and didn’t stop. He told Jason that Carly was constantly depressed. She barely talked to him or Morgan. Most days one of the servants got Morgan ready for school and Morgan was confused, thinking that he did something wrong. She cried all the time and almost never left the nursery. Michael also told him that Carly looked awful, that she doesn’t eat anything; she looked like she lost a lot of weight and never went outside. Then last night, she freaked out and scared Morgan.

Jason sighed. “I’ll go talk to her. I’ll see what I can do.”

“I know if anyone can help her, it’s you.” Michael confided. “I have to go get Morgan so we can go to school.”

Jason tells him to give Morgan a hug as he walks in the castle with him. They walk up the stairs together and Michael points to the nursery where they can hear Carly singing softly. Jason opens the door and sees Carly, holding Victoria. Carly doesn’t even look up until Jason calls her name several times. “Jason, what are you doing here?” Carly asked, confused.

“I, uh, just wanted to see how you have been.” Jason said as he closed the door behind him. “I haven’t seen you for a while.”

“I’m taking care of the baby. I have to make sure that she is ok.” Carly looked up at Jason and smiled.

Jason was shocked at her appearance. Her blonde hair was unkempt and looked greasy. She was wearing sweats that didn’t fit, they hung off of her. “Isn’t she beautiful?”

Jason sat down on the bed across from the rocking chair. “Yes she is…just like her mother.” Jason looked uncomfortably around the room. “Carly, look why don’t you take a shower and get dressed and you and I can go for a walk? It’s a nice day out and I think Victoria would like to go outside. I always liked to take Michael out for walks when he was Victoria’s age.”

Carly shook her head. “No Jason, I can’t leave. This is the twins’ room and I have to protect them.” Carly protested, shaking her head. “I’m not leaving Victoria alone for a minute.”

“It’s a nice day and Victoria needs some air. So do you. When was the last time you and I went out? Hell, when’s the last time you went out at all? Jason asked her. “Why don’t you give me Victoria and you go take a shower? She’ll be ok for while you get ready.”

Carly let her hair fall, covering her sleeping baby. She looked at Jason, tears in her eyes. “I can’t Jason. I can’t leave her. Why can’t people just leave me alone!” Carly flared.

“Because we care about you! You’re scaring your other children. Remember? Michael and Morgan? Michael called me crying because he’s afraid you’re going to hurt yourself” Jason paused as he let the words sink in. “He is worried about you and so is Morgan! When was the last time you paid any attention to them? You have other children besides Victoria and John that need you! I understand that you’re going through pain right now. Going through the loss of a child is something no one should ever go through. But you have to go on Carly. You are the closest thing to a mother that Spencer has. You have a lot of people counting on you, needing you to be well.” Jason said tearing up.

Carly started to cry in uncontrollably. “What do you expect of me Jason? Do you know what it is like to watch your child die? No! So don’t tell me…” Carly stopped yelling when Victoria started crying. She put her up on her shoulder and started shushing her and patting her lovingly on her back. “It’s all right Victoria. Mommy got a little mad at Uncle Jason.”

Several moments passed before Jason spoke again…angry that Carly seemed to forget the pain he was in when Sam’s daughter died. “Come on….it’s just a walk Carly. It’s a first step. Please.” He held out his hand to hers. “I promise you that Victoria will be safe and that we will stay in sight of the castle here. We’ll just go out in the gardens.” Carly looked like she was wavering and he said, “Do you trust me?”

Carly looked torn. She looked at her daughter and she looked at Jason. Finally she stood up and handed her daughter to Jason. “Why don’t you go downstairs and I will meet you in twenty minutes. Ask Alfred or Nikolas to get the stroller ready, ok.”

“Ok.” Jason held Victoria and smiled. “I know your Mommy says twenty minutes Victoria but she really means thirty. She’s never on time.”

Carly laughed. “Oh shut up Jason!” She punched him lightly on the arm. For the first time in a long time, she almost looked happy.

Elizabeth walked up to the bar at Jake’s and ordered a beer. She was in the mood to hang out with Emily. Things at the hospital were so tense and everyone was walking on eggshells. Elizabeth needed a friend tonight because she felt so strung out she thought she was going to snap. Finally Emily walked through and threw herself on a chair.

“Hey Coleman, I’ll have what she is having and a shot of tequila.” Emily said. “It’s been one of those weeks.”

“Tell me about it.” Elizabeth smiled at her red haired friend. “Coleman, you may as well pass the bottle to us.” Coleman smiled and left the bottle on the bar. “How have you been Em?”

Emily scowled. “Work is ugh and I don’t really feel like talking about it. How are things at the hospital? Everyone was be freaking out.”

Elizabeth downed her shot and shook her head. “You could say that again. It’s like if someone does something wrong we are going to be fired. No excuses, no second changes. It’s like they’re just looking for a reason to get rid of us to cut the budget. It sucks.”

“I’m glad my parents aren’t here because Alan would be stressing so much. And he doesn’t need another heart attack.” Emily said, taking a swig from her bottle. “We decided not to tell Alan and Monica about it.”
“That’s a good idea.” Elizabeth pushed her hair out of her face in frustration. “Emily, you should have seen Nikolas when I went to go confront him. It was like he was a different person. He was so cold and arrogant. Like he could care less. It was like talking to a brick wall. He is not the Nikolas that we knew when we were growing up that’s for sure.”

“Do you think Carly has something to do with this? Maybe she told him to pull funding.” Emily commented.

“I don’t think so.” Elizabeth said as she shook her head, “As much as I dislike Carly, I get the feeling that this is all his idea. Bobbie could be out of a job when she gets out of jail, and I don’t think that Carly would do that. For as many faults that Carly has, she loves her children very much. What would happen if something were to happen to one of her kids? She would never forgive Nikolas for this, never.” Elizabeth said vehemently.

“You have a point.” Emily replied. “She probably doesn’t even know. She’s been cooped up on that damn island ever since….well…you know. Laura would be so ashamed of Nikolas.”

Elizabeth laughed sarcastically. “Let’s just say that when I talked to him, it was clear that he was not the Nikolas we all love.”

    “Why do you say that?”

“He seemed to forget that I had two miscarriages. He didn’t even flinch when I mentioned it. Seriously Em, He is getting to be angrier with each passing day. I have never heard him be so…so, rude and cold. He was so smug that I wanted to slap him.” Elizabeth paused to take a shot and grabbed some chips. “But that wouldn’t be the right thing to do.”

Emily looked astonished. She couldn’t believe that this man that Elizabeth was telling her about was once someone she loved. “I can’t believe that Nikolas is acting like this. Maybe I should go see him.”

Elizabeth finished off her beer. “It won’t help. I think he’s past the point of caring.”
    <HR>
Carly couldn’t breathe. She looked into the crib and saw that Victoria was asleep. She felt relieved for that but she lost John. Where was John? She ran down to her and Nikolas’ room and looked to see if Nikolas had John in there. Nikolas wasn’t there and Carly ran for the stairs. Panic flew through her as she almost fell down the stairs in her hurry to find her baby. She found Nikolas in the study but the baby wasn’t there.

“Where is he Nikolas, where is my baby?”

“Victoria is asleep. You just put her down and I thought you were going to take a nap yourself.” Nikolas said, standing up from behind his desk. “Is she ok?”

Carly looked at Nikolas fretfully. “I know Victoria is fine. It’s John. Where is he? I can’t find him and I thought he was with you.” Carly wrung her hands.

Nikolas hurriedly walked around the desk and grasped Carly by the arms. He spoke quietly. “Carly, John is gone. You know that.”

“Nnnnoooooo!!!!” Carly screamed, backing away and pointing her finger as Nikolas. “No don’t you say that. My baby boy is alive and you took him away didn’t you? Tell me where he is!” Carly’s voice kept rising until it was almost a scream.

“Carly its ok.” Nikolas said soothingly. “I miss him every single moment of every single day. But you have to accept the fact that John is gone.” Nikolas walked forward with his arms out to hug Carly but she backed away.

“You’re lying!” Carly hysterically yelled, as she knocked over a tray of drinking glasses and a pitcher of water. “He’s out there somewhere. I need him. Give me back my baby!”

“Mommy?” Morgan’s voice could be heard over the sound of breaking glass.

Carly whipped around, tears streaming down her face. “Morgan?” she whispered.

    “Mommy you’re scaring me.”

Nikolas leaned over. “Morgan, your Mom is just a little upset, that’s all. She’ll be all right.” Nikolas looked over at Carly who was feverishly wiping her eyes and forcing a smile onto her face. “See, your Mom is ok.”

“I’m ok.” Carly told Morgan. “Why don’t I take you upstairs and you can tell me about your day. Maybe you and I can play a game or something.”

Not looking convinced, Morgan turned around, Carly following him. Nikolas sank onto the couch, his head between his knees.

“Well well, how goes it brother in law?” Luke asked Noah as Noah stepped up to the bar at the Haunted Star. “How is Barbara Jean?”

Noah asked for water with lemon, making sure he doesn’t take a drink. “Bobbie is doing really well. Hopefully she will be able to come home within the next month or two.”

Luke slid the glass over to Noah, “That’s what I like to hear.” He looked up and saw Mac walking towards them. “Well, well, well. If it isn’t the former commissioner? I hope you aren’t here to shut us down. I haven’t down anything wrong.” Under his breath he muttered, “Yet”

Mac sat down on a bar stool. “You can relax Spencer. I’m not here on official duty. I’m just here to enjoy a drink tonight.”

“In that case what’ll it be? I’ll make sure to charge you double and water down your drink.” Luke said with a twinkle in his eye.

“A beer would be great.” Mac said. Luke opened a beer and gave it to him. Mac swallowed some and asked, “What’s going on?”

“Well Lucy and that Dr. Hayward are canoodling in the corner. I have to say that I will always have a soft spot for my Lucy Coe.” Luke said as he raised his glass in Lucy’s directions. “The wife’s at home sulking because I am here tonight. Someday that woman will be the death of me.”

Mac looked around the casino. “Speaking of the Quartermaines, I am surprised that Brenda didn’t move in there. She always seems to end up there. But Robin says she moved into the Metro Court.”

“Hush now. Don’t give her any ideas.” Luke said. “I would not have all of Alice’s attentions if Brenda moved in.”

Noah looked over at Mac, “I haven’t talked to Patrick in a few days. How is Robin?”

“She’s unhappy but I think she is glad that her mother is here. We are just trying to be the best support system we can be.” Mac replied.

“It’s such a shame.” Luke commented. “I have watched that little sprout grow up and face everything she has. She must have gotten her courage from Anna because she sure didn’t get it from her father.”

Mac half scowled. “Thanks a lot Luke.”

“Oh come on. I meant your no good excuse for a brother. Where is the secret agent Aussie anyway? I haven’t seen or heard from him in a few months?”

“He was called away on some mission with the WSB. He’s been in and out of contact since then,” Mac says finishing off his beer. “Hit me with another one.”

Luke handed him another beer. “I would say it’s on the house but I would be lying. It’s true. Anna has more courage than any woman I know except Laura. I am not talking down on my old friend Robert. There is a difference.”

Noah’s pager went off and he looked at it. “Ah, ok. I have to go. Thanks Luke. Mac.”

Luke shivered. “I could never be a doctor. Way too much work.”

Noah says his goodbyes to his friends and heads out. Luke takes out a box of cigars and offers Mac one. The two sit back and light their cigars, relaxing as GH comes to a close.

Elizabeth stepped off the launch and started to walk up the path towards Wyndemere. She was equally furious and disappointed in Nikolas and in herself. She should have come to see him sooner. She should have tried to reach out to him. Instead she wrapped herself up with her own life. Her relationship with Blake Barrington has stalled, and she’s been focusing on work and Cameron. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Nikolas on his horse racing across the field. She quickly altered her path and made her way to the fence surrounding the field.

Elizabeth waited impatiently for Nikolas to at least make eye contact with her. But he refused and ignored her. She knew that he was aware that she was there. She finally called out to him. He looked over at her, sighed heavily and rode his horse over to her.

“If you are here to try to talk me out of what I did yesterday, you wasted your trip. Nothing will change my mind.” Nikolas informed her coldly.

Elizabeth said simply. “It’s a beautiful day and I thought I would come visit you. How’s Victoria?”

“Why do you ask?” Nikolas questioned. “And don’t lie to be Elizabeth. You haven’t come out here before and I know you aren’t here to ask about Carly.”

Elizabeth stared back at him. “Nikolas, I am worried about you. This move that you made, I just don’t understand it. Talk to me Nikolas; tell me what’s going on with you.”

Nikolas got off his horse and tied the reins around the fencepost. He took his gloves off stared coldly at Elizabeth. “I find it highly arrogant of you to inquire about me and my child the day after I took away the funding of the hospital. To make a trip all the way over here under the false guise of checking on myself and my daughter, when both you and I both know what your true motives are is disgusting. You don’t care about me or Carly or Victoria. You are worried about yourself and whether or not you’ll have a job tomorrow.”

Elizabeth was taken aback and felt slightly insulted. “That is so not true Nikolas. I am concerned about you! I don’t understand why you would make such a callous decision. You know how much the hospital counts on Cassadine funding. So yes….it’s part of the reason why I came over here, but I am worried about you. When was the last time you talked to Lucky or Alexis?”

“That is none of your business Elizabeth.” Nikolas snapped. “I don’t need to run my decisions my Lucky or Alexis or anyone else for that matter.”

“Why did you do it? Why did you take the funding away?” Elizabeth pushed her hair away from her forehead in frustration. “Do you know how many people need our care? Who need chemo, or dialysis or emergency care? What about Robin, have you even thought of her?”
    <HR>
Thomas stood at the bar at MetroCourt drinking a Scotch and observing the crowd around him. He laughed to himself at the way he flustered that poor Quartermaine girl the other day. What were they thinking sending that girl his way? He was an international businessman and he didn’t do business with young girls like that. In fact, he ate them for lunch.

“Excuse me, but have you seen Lucy Coe yet?” Brenda asked the bartender. The bartender shook his head. “Ok, can I have an apple martini then?” The bartender handed Brenda her drink as she threw her hair over her shoulder.

Thomas looked at the bartender, “Put the lady’s drink on my tab.” Thomas looked down at Brenda and smiled his beautiful smile. “My name’s Thomas. Thomas Cain.”

Brenda quirked an eyebrow at him. “You didn’t have to buy my drink. I am perfectly capable of doing that on my own.”

“When I see a beautiful woman I am compelled to buy her many things. A drink is just the start.” Thomas said smoothly.

“Wow….what an original line.” Brenda said sarcastically.

    “How about a name?”

    “How about not?”

The bartender leaned over, “Brenda, Lucy just stepped off the elevator.”

Brenda smiled broadly to the bartender. “Thanks. And thank you Tim for the drink.”
“You’re welcome Brenda.” He said as she walked towards Lucy. Thomas then leaned over to the bartender. “Tell me I haven’t lost my touch?” He watched as the two friends hugged and kissed each other on the cheek. “She’s not…”

The bartender smiled and shook his head. “No, no. She’s not….That’s Brenda Barrett. She’s a former model. I hear she used to be involved with two of Port Charles’ biggest players. She left town after a few years ago. No matter what amount of success she’s had in her life, she’s still one of the nicest people I know.”

Lucy looked at Brenda’s drink, “That looks so good. I am going to have to have one. Oh it is so good to see you! I have been so busy lately and I have to tell you about the new doc I am dating. And who was that devilishly handsome man at the bar talking to you?”

Brenda waved her hand dismissively. “Oh just some guy. He bought me a drink. No big deal.”

Lucy leaned past Brenda to get a better look at Thomas. “Let me tell you this, if I didn’t have David, I would make a run for him. He’s gorgeous!”

“Anyways….” Brenda said, smoothing her hair back away from her face, “I wanted to talk to you about something. I wanted to do a fundraiser for the pediatric wing at the hospital. And I need your help.”

“Oh I feel so bad for Carly! I don’t even like Carly but to lose a child, of course I will help. Whatever you need.” Lucy said as she gratefully accepted her drink.

Brenda leaned forward. “Lucy, it’s as much for Robin as it is for Carly.” Brenda went on to explain what was happening with Robin’s baby. “So I thought you could be the mistress of ceremonies and I could help you work the phones to get donations. It would be like the Nurse’s Ball.”

Lucy grasped Brenda’s hands and smiled a tear filled smile. “You were always the best friend a girl could have. Of course I will help.” Lucy took a long swallow of her drink. “Now, it’s time for girl talk because I have so much to fill you in on!”

Back at Wyndemere, Nikolas’ patience with Elizabeth was being tested. Nikolas narrowed his eyes. “This has nothing to do with Robin.” Nikolas replied with a cold anger that Elizabeth hadn’t heard in years.

“Oh, this is rich Nikolas. Just rich.” Elizabeth paused to deliver her blow. “Not only is she HIV positive but her baby……” Elizabeth dropped the rest of her statement. Even though they’re all friends with Robin, Elizabeth cannot violate Robin’s confidentiality by talking about her medical condition to Nikolas. “There are many people who count on that money Nikolas. We have one of the best pre-natal care facilities on the East Coast, how can we maintain that without your backing? What is this going to do for people like Robin? What has Robin ever done to you?”

Nikolas didn’t even flinch. “Like I said, this isn’t about Robin.” He said slowly and articulately.

“So what is this about Nikolas? To show us that you have the power? That you can do this? What is it!” Elizabeth demanded.

“I lost a child Elizabeth! Do you know what that is like?” Nikolas yelled.

Elizabeth yelled back, “Did you just have the nerve to ask me what it is like to lose a child?! I lost two children and I could have died if it wasn’t for the staff at GH. You aren’t the only one to have gone through this!”

“How dare you equate your miscarriages to actually watching your child die! You never got to see your children Elizabeth,” Nikolas said, his anger becoming replaced with pain. “You never got to bond with your son, worried for weeks on end if he would make it. To think that things would be ok only to have him die in the end. So excuse me if I think my pain is just a bit greater than yours.”

Elizabeth was speechless. Never in her life would she expect Nik to say what he just said to her. Never in her life did she think Nikolas could be capable of being so rude.

Nikolas raised his hands in anger and clenched his fists. He tried to regain his composure and managed to force some words out. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some paperwork that needs to be completed. Alfred will show you out.”

“I have never been so disappointed in someone in my entire life. Before I leave I want you to think about this. What will happen if Victoria gets sick and needs to go to the hospital, where will you take her Nikolas, where?” Elizabeth turned and stalked away. “Give me a call when the man I once called a friend returns.”

It was early morning and Patrick and Robin were lying in bed. Patrick had been awake for hours but he didn’t want to wake Robin. They had talked late into the night. Finally they just held each other for hours without speaking until they drifted off to sleep. But today was another day and they had to face it together. But for the moment, Patrick wanted Robin to have some peace.

Patrick quietly slipped out of bed and threw on some sweats. He slipped out of the room and called the hospital to inform them that he and Robin would be taking some vacation time. He went downstairs and stoically started the coffee and cut some grapefruit. He wanted to have breakfast ready for Robin when she woke up. As he got her breakfast prepared, the severity of their situation hit him like a tidal wave and he crumbled in despair.

After several moments of indulging in his misery, Patrick heard a knock on the door. Wiping his tears, Patrick went to answer it. “Anna. What are you doing here?” He asked and stepped aside to let her in.

“Brenda called me and said that Robin might need me. Is she ok? Did something happen to the baby?” Anna asked, concerned.

“Come in and let me get you some coffee. Robin’s not up yet and I’m not going to wake her up yet.” Patrick ushered Anna into the kitchen and poured some coffee for her. He grabbed a cup for himself and sat down across from her. He took a sip and told Anna what they had found out.

Anna had tears in her eyes. “My God, why does this have to happen to my Robin? Hasn’t she had enough pain in her life? Tell me she’s going to be all right.”

“She will be all right. If the amniotic band attaches to the baby then the baby may not be. And it depends on where it attaches. If it somehow attaches close to the heart, well the baby may have to have heart surgery.” Patrick said in a monotone.

“I will talk to David and see what he knows about this. He has always loved Robin and I will make sure that if anything happens with the baby that David will be the surgeon who will take care of him or her. What else can I do Patrick?” Anna asked.

“Thank you. Just be there for Robin.” He paused and took a sip of coffee. “I can hear her moving around right now. Do you want to bring up her breakfast for her?”

Anna stood up and thanked Patrick. Before she grabbed the tray, she leaned down and kissed Patrick’s cheek. “Everything will work out. We just have to have faith.” She wiped her tears and went up the stairs to the master bedroom. Knocking on the door, she called, “Robin, it’s me.”

Emily opened the door to her office and threw her purse down. She was frustrated and angry after her meeting with Thomas Cain. On the drive to the office she kept going over the meeting with him and kept trying to pinpoint where she lost control of it, when he got the better of her. Emily went to her desk and turned on her laptop. She checked her email there was one from Tracy and one from Elizabeth inviting her to Jake’s later if she wanted to go. She quickly responded to that one, saying that she would meet her there at eight. However, she didn’t want to open the email from Tracy solely because she didn’t want to have to tell her what a mess she had made of the meeting. Emily had wanted everything to go smoothly and clearly it had not.

Swallowing her pride Emily opened the email. Emily was just starting to write a response to Tracy asking for a meeting early the next morning when there was a knock on her door. “How did the meeting with Thomas Cain go?” AJ asked. “Is he going to do business with us?”

“We still have a few things to iron out.” Emily responded easily. She leaned back in her chair and regarded AJ. There was no way she wanted AJ to know how badly she had failed that day.

“Like what?” AJ asked interest piqued.
    <HR>
“Come in.” Robin’s muffled voice could be heard. As Anna opened the door Robin asked, “What are you doing here?”

Anna set the tray down on the nightstand and sat on the bed. “Brenda called me last night and said that you might need me. Patrick told me what is going on and I am here to help. If you want to scream at the world, if you want to hit me for being a bad parent to you or just cry, I want you to do it. I love you Robin and so does your father and Mac.”
Robin looked away, miserable. “I can’t even feel anymore. I just have this awful feeling that if I get out of this bed that this band will attach itself to my baby and my baby will die. I just…I….” Robin broke out in tears.

Anna moved over and wrapped her arms around her daughter. “It’s ok Robin. From what Patrick told me, you have to go on living as if this hasn’t happened. And you do need to eat some of this nice breakfast that Patrick got together for you.” Anna picked up the tray and laid it on the tray. “See, he even did the grapefruit right.”

Sighing, Robin reached for the spoon. She ate a couple bites and drank some milk. “Mom, I can’t eat. I am just so sick about this.” Robin threw the spoon down in disgust.
    <HR>
Emily’s announce with AJ was beginning to grow. She purposely avoided seeing him or Tracy after her failed meeting with Thomas yesterday. It’s too bad she couldn’t avoid them at work too.

“You know as well as I do that this was just a fact finding meeting, a meeting to see if our companies could mesh well together.”

AJ walked into her office and sat down, clearly very curious. “So what did you think of Cain? When do you meet him next?”

Emily shook her head, “I don’t know. That’s Tracy’s decision, not mine.” Emily said coldly.

“Emily is there something that you aren’t telling me?” AJ begins to suspect something may have gone badly. “Did you mess up this meeting? Because if you did I will guarantee you that Tracy will have your head on a silver platter. She made you the project manager and she expects results.” AJ warned.

Emily sighed and glared at AJ. “For the record, I did nothing wrong. And mind your own business. Grandfather has faith in me and that is the important thing….”

AJ cut Emily off. “No Emily, the important thing with Grandfather is ELQ. It’s in his blood. If you succeed, then you get the glory. If you fail than you are nothing in his eyes. Look at me.”

“Exactly AJ, look at you. No matter what you’ve done to try and make yourself better, you STILL feel like you are second place. Jason is still the golden child and you are like the child starving for attention. You will never be number one in Grandfather’s eyes or even in father’s eyes. Now get out of my office and leave me alone!” Emily lashed out.

Slowly AJ stood up. He stood in the doorway and watched Emily for a long time. “You know you were always looked at as the good Quartermaine. Little saint Emily, the little orphan girl who could do no wrong. Grandfather and Grandmother always saw you as the one Quartermaine…besides Jason, who could do no wrong. You don’t have an ounce of Quartermaine blood in you, yet you just proved how much of a Quartermaine you really are. You’re just as cold and heartless as the rest of us.” With that AJ walked away leaving Emily to stare after him with a cold fury in her eyes.
    <HR>
“Robin, you have to. And you have to stop this pity party. The world is not against you. It’s a bad set of circumstances but sweetie, you are strong and you need to think positive.” Anna said sternly. “Wallowing in misery will do nothing for the baby. You need to go about the rest of your pregnancy just like you normally would have.”

“Your mother is right.” Patrick said from the doorway. “The band may never attach. I did some research on the Internet and also called Kelly. It may never attach itself. But you have to go through your daily routine or the baby may suffer in different ways. The very least we have to do today is go for a walk.”

Robin shook her head. “No. I am not getting out of this bed. I feel safe here.”

Anna picked up the spoon and almost force fed her daughter. “Get over it Robin. You have to deal with the circumstances. Get in the shower and take a walk. It’s the very least you can do.”

“I said no. Just leave me alone.” Robin replied, anger in her voice.

“Robin if you don’t finish this grapefruit and take a shower, I will force feed this to you and throw you in the shower myself. You know I can do it.” Anna demanded.

Scowling Robin finished her breakfast. Without a word she got up and went to the bathroom. Anna and Patrick shared a look. “Thank you Anna.”

“Patrick, I love my daughter with all my heart.” Anna said, standing up and walking over to him. “Call me if you need me.”

Hunter and his friends were sitting at a banquette at the View when Maxie and Serena arrive. Serena had begged Maxie to come, even though Maxie really didn't want to. All she wanted to do was relax, and be thankful she didn’t have to do any jail time. Plus, she really didn't like Hunter and the guy, Jack that they wanted to hook her up. He just wasn't Dillon and try as she might, she couldn't stop thinking about him. When Hunter notices Serena and Maxie there, he moves over to allow the girls to sit down and orders them beers. Serena leans in for a kiss as Maxie starts to talk to the guys that are there. Maxie isn't interested in any of them, but at least it’s better than just sitting there not doing anything. Serena snuggles up closer to Hunter, who Maxie has decided is a loser. Bored, she watches the dance floor.

It's not that busy at the View that Thursday night. After about a half hour Hunter excuses himself to go to the bathroom. Seeing her opportunity, Maxie says, "Serena, I need another drink. Come with me."

Both girls get up and walk towards the bar. "Thank you so much for coming with me tonight Maxie. I'm sorry you and Jack didn't hit it off." Serena comments.

Maxie huffs, "Talk about a loser with a capital L. After about a half hour, he tried to unhook my bra. Lame, as if I wouldn’t reject him. Hello? This is me we’re talking about. Here. You should be happy that I agreed to come with you. But whatev. These things happen." Maxie steps up to the bar and orders a cosmo for her and Serena. "How are things with you and Hunter?" She asks as they aimlessly walk around.

Serena shrugs. "I don't know. Sometimes things are really good. Sometimes not so much. He will blow me off at times and not call me. I was happy that he called me yesterday to meet him here. At least he didn't do the typical guy thing."

"You mean the call an hour before and expect you to be there at their disposal?" Maxie laughs knowingly. "I stopped doing that and have now turned it around and do that to guys. I know I am a bitch but I don't care."

"I really like Hunter, Maxie. He is a good guy. You'll see." Serena confides.

“Yeah….sure.” Maxie was watching the dance floor. For several moments she didn't say anything. "Serena, if Hunter is such a good guy, who is that girl he is dancing with? He looks like he is about to screw her right now!"

The two of them give Hunter and his dance partner the evil eye. Neither one of them notice the gorgeous black haired man turn around and head for the dance floor.

Alexis sat on the sofa with her legs curled up underneath the afghan as she waited for her husband to return home from the office. She had already fed the kids and herself and now she waited, like every other night the past few weeks. Ric had been spending most of his time at the office instead of at home with her and the kids. She could understand if he had a heavy case load, but the workload at the office had been a little light for both of them. Him cheating never crossed her mind .... okay maybe once or twice ... but since his last slip up, he was doing really good up until a month ago. She had confronted him last week about his late night office hours, and he just brushed her off and gave her the excuse he had been working on a case. She didn't pry, but knew that whatever case he was working on didn't pass over her desk first, which made her all the more suspicious.

The grandfather clock in the hallway struck 10 and she was beginning to worry, he promised he'd be home by 5. Two hours late….AGAIN. She called the office, no answer. She tried his cell phone, no answer there either. She called the PCPD and asked for him there, he was not there either. She looked up when she heard a car pull up outside and she caught a glimpse of the headlights. "Finally ....." she mumbled to herself as she rushed to the front door to greet him ... and to give him a piece of her mind. She heard the jingle of his keys and the turn of the knob but opened the door before he could.

"Where have you been?!" she snapped when he stepped into the house.

"Well, hello to you too." He replied as he removed his coat, hung it up on the coat rack, and sat his briefcase down at the door.

"I have been worried sick about you. I called all over, but got your voice mail. Are you going to tell me where you've been?"

"If you give me half a second to think, I would fill you in on all the details." He remarked as he went to the wet bar and poured himself a shot.

"You're half second is up." she quickly snapped back as she followed him from one part of the room to the next.

Ric just rolled his eyes at her and sat down on the sofa. Alexis was getting annoyed with his games and laid into him about his whereabouts. "So who is she?! Someone at the office? I bet it's that young intern ... isn't it?"

Ric gave her a dumbfounded look. "I'm sleeping with anyone, but you sweetheart."

"Don't give me that, Ric! You're spending a few extra hours every night the last few weeks with someone. Who is she?!"

Ric laughed. "I'm not cheating on you, Alexis. Paranoid, much? It's work related."

"I'm sure it is." She rolled her eyes at his excuse. "I want to know what's going on Ric."

Ric sighed in defeat. "I'm working on a case. It's a case that I can't tell you about. You have to trust me, Alexis."

"Yeah right, trust you? You, Ric. Really. How many times have I heard that before and you always ended up in some mess that I had to come in and clean up?"

He laughed. "I'm not that bad Alexis. Give me a little credit. I can't tell you what it is, just trust me. Please."

Alexis knew he was lying. There was something going on with him, but she would drop it for now. "All right. I won't pry, if you can't tell me what's been going on, then you can't tell me."

Ric took a sip from his glass and smiled. "Good. Can we put this to rest now?"

He sat and suckled on his drink hoping she'd let it be. He hated lying to her about this but he started this, he had to finish it. There was no turning back now, he had too much to lose.

"Yeah ... for now." she replied as she snuggled up to him on the couch.

"The girls in bed already?" he asked as the two sat together.

"I think so. Violet and I gave them baths after dinner. Do you want to sneak in and say goodnight?"

Ric put his drink down on the coffee table and stood up from the couch. "Yeah I think that's a good idea." He reached for her hand ...."Coming with me?"

Alexis took his hand and the two went to say good night to their children.

She was drop dead gorgeous with long brown hair and a body to die for. It was all on show too. She was a wearing tight black leather skirt and a white blouse tied so that it bared her midriff. Her black bra with the hint of lace was tantalizing. Black boots completed the look. Hunter wasn't sure, but he thought he saw a belly button ring that drove him nuts. She was dancing alone. She looked up then and Hunter saw them then. They were the deepest brown eyes challenging him to dance with him. Hunter had never seen her before but he immediately decided she was the hottest girl he had ever seen.

Completely forgetting about Serena, Hunter met the challenge. He walked over to her and started to move his body with hers. She flashes him a dazzling smile and blood starts to rush to certain parts of Hunter's body. "What's your name?" He shouts.

She twirls around and again smiles. Her hair, which was so soft and smelled intoxicating, lands on his arms and neck. "Call me Cassie," she said with a devilish grin.

Hunter pulls her closer and grinds with her. "Well Cassie, you are the hottest girl I have ever seen and I want you so much."

Wickedly smiling, she wraps her arms around him and continues to dance with him. "I know."

    Confident, Hunter says, "Let's go."

Cassie turns around so that her back is to his front and she continues to move sexily down his body so that she can feel every part of him. He moves aside her brown hair and his lips almost touch her neck. This continues on for several minutes until she suddenly stiffens and moves away from Hunter. "Get away from me. Go! Go away now!"

Hunter looks confused as the dark haired man approaches. "What? Are you kidding me?"

"I believe the she told you to leave." A voice behind Hunter says.

Hunter turns around and behind this guy sees Serena leaving in tears. "Who the hell are you? She came on to me!"

"Just go!" Cassie's voice trembles, her eyes expressing the fear in her voice.

The man looks at Cassie. "It's ok Cassie. We'll leave." With that, the dark haired man and Cassie left the bar, the man holding on to Cassie's arm. With a sad smile, Cassie looks over her shoulder at a now furious Hunter. "Bitch" Hunter yells. She mouths “I’m sorry” to him before being pulled out of the door.

In the black Mercedes Benz, the man, Alex was furious. "You know I love you Cass, but you can't keep doing this! Can you imagine the consequences?"

Cassie was defiant. "Alex, I am not ashamed of this. I needed tonight and you know it! So do not give me the speech about consequences."

Alex turned the key to his car on and sighs. "Cassandra, when are you going to learn? People are always going to be watching us. Especially here in Port Charles." He pulls out and starts to drive to their home. "How could you do that to that guy?"

    "I needed some fun."

Alex stared straight ahead, thoughts swirling through his head as he contemplated his beautiful passenger. His jaw was set. He knew what he had to do and he didn't like it. "Cassandra, just promise me you will not do this again, deal?"

Knowing what this meant, Cassie's voice trembled as she realized the enormity of her evening out. "Deal."

Emily opened her briefcase and took it out. Thomas reached for it and started to flip the pages, glancing through it. When their drinks arrived, he took a sip and leaned back nonchalantly in his chair. “Tell me Ms. Quartermaine, you just joined ELQ, is that correct?”

“A few months ago Thomas. And please, call me Emily. It’s the family business and I felt that it was time I joined.” Emily replied, folding her hands in front of her.

“Hmm.” Thomas stared at her, his hazel eyes piercing hers. He tossed the proposal down on the table. “Tell me Emily,” He picked up his martini and coolly took a sip. “Why couldn’t Tracy be here today?”

Emily returned his gaze and held it. “Mr. Cain, this is my project and I think that you will find that it benefits both you and ELQ. I think...”

Thomas cut her off. “You think or you know? You should know what the benefits are as well as any consequences of this potential merger are Ms. Quartermaine. I do hope you know what they are but before we go any further, where did you get your MBA from?”

Stunned, Emily didn’t know how to answer. “My MBA?”

“You heard me. What school did you get your MBA from?” Thomas repeated slowly.
Emily gathered herself together, “I don’t have an MBA Mr. Cain, I have a medical degree. Up until a few months ago, I was studying to become a doctor. I have since decided to join the family company.” Emily replied trying very hard to stay in control.

Thomas let a quick smile flash across his handsome face. He was enjoying sparring with Emily and watching her become flustered. “So with your medical degree and limited knowledge of the business world you think that one of my companies should merge with ELQ based on what? How to properly get an IV into my arm on one try? Forgive me Ms. Quartermaine when I say that I don’t have much confidence in you.”

Dr. Kelly Lee walked out of the locker room and threw her stethoscope around her neck. She had a lot of patients scheduled for the day and she wanted to make sure that she could schedule an appointment with Dr. Ford. She was worried about Robin too and wanted to sneak over to her apartment during her lunch break if she could.

“Hey Kelly!” Lainey called to her, “Wait up.”

Kelly stopped and smiled as her best friend approached. “How are you Lainey? I’m sorry that I didn’t call you back last night but I was working on a proposal.”

Lainey regarded Kelly with a shrewd look. “I take it then that you haven’t heard the news.”

“What news?” Kelly asked as she started walking towards the elevators, Lainey following.

Lainey took a deep breath. “Word around the hospital is that Nikolas Cassadine walked into the board meeting and pulled the Cassadine money from the hospital. They are no longer funding the hospital.”

Kelly stopped short. “Are you kidding me? How can he do that?”

“He just walked in and did it. You know that the Cassadines are the hospitals largest benefactor. Now, almost half the money funding this hospital is gone.” Lainey explained. “I would be making sure your resume is up to date because we may be looking for jobs.”

Kelly looked stunned. “I just, I just can’t believe this. I know he is still grieving for the loss of his son, but what about the care of everyone else in the hospital? I just can’t believe this.”

Lainey hugged her friend, who was obviously despairing over the news. “Look, there’s Dr. Ford. Ask him what’s going on. Because everything I heard was rumor. Let’s go to the source and ask.” She paused, “Dr Ford, can we talk to you for a minute?”

Dr. Ford came over and said, “Drs. I only have a moment. What can I do for you?”

“Is this horrible rumor about Nikolas Cassadine pulling the Cassadine money from the hospital true?” Kelly asked fury in her eyes.

Dr. Ford sighed. “I’m not going to lie to you. Unfortunately it is true.”

At the PCU campus, the students are thrilled that school is ending a week early as a gift to 95% of the students getting on the Dean's List. Lucas stops by the Student Resource Center to pick up some information regarding some summer programs when he runs into Dante Brennan. The two exchange pleasantries and make their separate ways….

    4 months earlier…..

Dante pulls Lucas into a passionate kiss with his right arm and he begins unbuckling Lucas' pants with his left. The room around them is a complete mess. A lamp his been knocked over, one of the tables have been broken, paintings and pictures have been knocked off the walls. After months of dancing around their attraction, they have both admitted they feel something for one another. And of course after a night of hard partying, the next step is to hook up right?

After leaving the club together, the two headed back to Harbor View Towers where Lucas is living. The moment they walked through the door, the boiling sexual tension EXPLODED. A drunken Lucas kissed Dante and pressed his back up against the wall, kissing lips, feeling on his chest and running his hands across the front of Dante's pants. Not wanting to allow Lucas to lead this experience, Dante takes control and picks Lucas up (Lucas' legs wrapped around Dante's waist).

They bump into tables, break the lamp and knock pictures off the wall as they make their way upstairs to the bedroom. Once upstairs, the two kiss more and spin around before falling onto the bed. Lucas pulls himself away from Dante in order to catch his breath and make sure Dante is really up for this. Dante reassures Lucas this is what he wants. Lucas strips down to his boxers, as does Dante. After admiring one another's physiques, they begin kissing again.
    <HR>
Emily was angered by this smug and conceited man across from her in his Armani suit who was speaking to her so condescendingly. “I have spent numerous hours studying the pros and cons of a partnership between our companies and I have outlined them in that proposal to you. If you would take a moment to look through it, you will see that I am right when I say that the merger will be beneficial to both of us.”

Thomas finished his martini and threw a fifty on the table. “If ELQ wants to do business with me, I want to speak to someone who is out of the intern program. I don’t care if your last name is Quartermaine. I won’t even consider this” He pointed to the proposal, “until I speak face to face with either Tracy or A.J. It was a pleasure Emily, but you should go back to the hospital.” Emily watched angrily as Thomas walked confidently through the lobby and pushed the button for the penthouse.
    <HR>
    4 months earlier…continued…..

The anticipation of what's to come has the two as excited as ever. Lucas slowly pulls down Dante’s boxers, exposing his rock hard shaft and begins to get to work. Dante moans in ecstasy as Lucas does exactly what Dante wants. Dante’s body begins to tense up, he begins to become overwrought with euphoria, and Lucas removes himself at the right time. Dante pulls Lucas into a deep passionate kiss and returns the favor to Lucas.

The two decide to do a bit more, but want to make sure they’re safe before they do it. Lucas reaches into his dresser and pulls out a roll of condoms. Dante hits the light as the scene fades to black….

    Present day…..

Things have been more than awkward between Lucas and Dante since that night of extreme passion. Dante began to withdraw from Lucas, avoiding him in public and not taking any of Lucas’ calls. Lucas is no stranger to rejection, but truly felt Dante was a different person. He knows there’s a lot more to this than what Dante is letting on, and he’s determined to find out what it is. He refuses to be Dante’s dirty little secret.
    <HR>
Anger spewed from Kelly. “How could you let this happen Dr. Ford! I can’t understand why someone would do something like this that would potentially hurt so many other people! Last night, I researched and wrote up a proposal for funding for the neonatal unit. Mostly because of Robin and because of him and Carly! And he goes and does something like this, I’m sorry Dr. Ford for getting so angry but I am.”

“Unfortunately until we are able to acquire further funding I can’t even look into any proposals Dr Lee. Now if you will excuse me.” Dr Ford nodded and walked away.

Lainey looked at Kelly with sympathy. She knew where she was coming from. “Kelly, you know you are my best friend but right now, we can’t be yelling at the Chief of Staff. We have to think of ourselves too.”

Kelly sighed and punched the up button for the elevator. “I know. But if Nikolas Cassadine was here right now I would give him a piece of my mind.”

The door opened and Elizabeth walked out. “Hey guys. What did Nikolas do to make you so upset?”

Lainey sighed and looked at Liz. “So you didn’t hear either.”

Elizabeth shook her head as Kelly held the elevator door open. “Your ex brother in law took away the funding for the hospital.”

Elizabeth’s jaw dropped in disbelief. “Are you kidding me?”

Lainey shook her head. “I wish.”

Elizabeth is stunned to hear this news. “I haven’t spoken to Nikolas in a long time, but I’m sure there’s more to this. Let me talk to him. Maybe I can convince him to change his mind.

“I hope you can. Because if you can’t, there are going to be a lot of people adversely affected by this situation. A lot of really good people.” Kelly pats Liz on the shoulder and walks away, the only thing on her mind is how this will affect Robin.

The elevator sounds at General Hospital as Nikolas Cassadine steps to head to a board meeting. He looks around the nurses’ station and sees the young nurses laughing as if they haven’t a care in the world. Elizabeth sees Nikolas and goes over to speak to him.

“Nikolas hi. I’ve been meaning to come by and visit you, but you know how Carly feels about me.”

Nikolas’ attention is elsewhere and doesn’t seem to want to speak to Elizabeth. “Well that’s good,” he says sharply. “I haven’t been in the mood for visitors anyway.”

“Oh…well….how are you,” she asks, a bit taken aback by the tone in his voice. “How’s the baby?”

“Victoria is doing well…as well as she can be.” Nikolas checks his watch and mentions he needs to head to the board meeting, as he’s already running late. He excuses himself and takes off, leaving Elizabeth behind.

Mac stands up and glances over at Anna. Anna nods. "You did a really good thing by coming to us today Maxie. But you have to know something here. Yes you did a horrible thing when drugging those boys drinks. And I’m know you are going through a hard time. But you have to be held accountable for what you’ve done. I don’t know if I can help you the way I’d like to. However, though you did something illegal, you didn't kill Brandon Wexler. You weren't driving that car. You didn't push Brandon into the street."

Mac paused and Anna continued. "Yes Maxie, I agree. It was very courageous for you to come forward and I know how hard it was. Everything that your Uncle Mac has said is true. You didn't kill Brandon Wexler."

"I just, I feel so guilty because if it wasn't for me, this whole thing wouldn't have happened." sniffs Maxie as she pulls up the sleeves of her shirt and buries her head in her hands.

Anna lowers her voice, "You don't know that. It just may have been Brandon's time."

"Do you want me to call your mother, sweetie?" Mac asks.

Horrified Maxie shakes her head in fear. "No! Please don't Uncle Mac. I don't ever want my mother to know. I am too ashamed to for her to know I did this."

"Ok, Maxie. I won't. Anna and I have to go talk about a few things. We will be right back. I promise you, nothing bad will happen to you." Mac reassures her. Mac and Anna walk to the door and leave a devastated but somewhat relieved Maxie alone.

Lucky makes his way down to the docks after getting food from Kelly’s when he sees Sam crying on the ground. He immediately goes into protective mode, wondering if something bad has happened to her. He helps her up and asks what happened. Sam, afraid to reveal too much says she just had a bad moment. Lucky knows she’s lying but doesn’t let it be known he knows. Sam asks if he can take her home. Lucky agrees.

Anna and Mac walk into an adjourning room where they could talk about Maxie alone. Mac gets upset and tells Anna that again, he feels that he failed Maxie as a parent. Anna reassures him that he hasn't, that Maxie is an adult and he did a wonderful job raising her. She just doesn't think her choices through. Anna also comments that with Frisco out of her life, Mac did a more than wonderful job with Maxie. They just needed to do damage control now.

Mac leans against the wall and pushes his hair back. "Thank you Anna. I needed to hear that." He pauses before he continues, "But we have to do something. I mean, not like arrest her because a crime was never reported. But I get the feeling from Maxie that she wants to pay for this in some way."

"I agree." Anna says, starting to pace around the room. Both Mac and Anna are deep in thought when Anna raises her head. "I have an idea, and I think you will like it." She relates her idea and Mac nods his agreement. "Anna I think this will be the best think for Maxie."

As they start to head for the door, Mac stops Anna. "You know Anna. It feels good to not fight with you."

Anna smiles softly, "I know Mac. Family crisis makes every argument disappear."

Emily walked swiftly into the Metrocourt, her briefcase in hand. She had a meeting with a potential new client, Thomas Cain. ELQ wanted to discuss a possible merger with one of his companies. This was the first time that she was going solo as the project manager for ELQ. She was excited because Tracy had entrusted her with this project, even though she knew A.J. and Skye didn’t think she was ready for this, she knew she was. Over the past few months she had thrown herself into working at ELQ, sometimes working from 6AM and not getting home until midnight.

Emily walked up to the bar and asked where Thomas Cain was. The bartender pointed her to his table. She walked over, smiled, and held out her hand. “Good evening Mr. Cain. Thank you for meeting me. I trust you are finding your time in Port Charles to be eventful.”

“Hmmm, yes thank you.” Thomas murmured a hint of an accent in his voice. He looked up and acted surprised to see how young she was. “It’s Emily Quartermaine, correct?”
“That would be me. Would you care for a drink Mr. Cain?”

Thomas motioned for the waiter, “What will you have Ms. Quartermaine?” Emily asked for a sparkling water. Thomas raised an eyebrow at her. “The lady and I will have a martini, dry. One olive or two?”

Not wanting to get off on the wrong foot, Emily held up two fingers. “Thank you Mr. Cain.” She paused for a moment. How was your flight from New York?”

“It’s Thomas. Yes it was fine.” Wanting to get down to business, he folded his arms on the table. “Now I believe you have a proposal for me?” Thomas asked.

“My MBA?”

Maxie lifts her blotchy face up when the door opens to her interrogation room. Mac pulls a chair up next to her and hugs her. Anna sits across her and smiles compassionately. Maxie takes a deep breath and asks, "So, what is going to happen to me?"

Anna folds her arms on the table, "Maxie, you will not be charged with any crime if that is what you are thinking."

"But I have to do something for all I have done!" Maxie interrupts.

"We thought you would feel like that," Mac said. "I want you to know something. You have our word that we will not tell your mother. You are an adult and if you want to tell her, you can."

Maxie breathed a sigh of relief as Anna went on. "Maxie, at the hospital there is a peer counseling hotline that you will be working. There are young adults that call in about a variety of problems. Everything from parent and sibling issues, drug and alcohol issues, sexuality issues which include everything from pregnancy to diseases to homosexuality and school issues. You will be trained on the hotline and I want you to work there throughout the summer and fall.”

“I also want you to begin going to therapy Maxie. It’s not a mandatory thing right now, but I do want you to go at least once a month, to talk about your feelings. You did what you did for a reason, and you need to work through it. I will be keeping up with how many hours you will be there."

"Of course I will do it. Thank you." Maxie dropped her head. "I'm just...just so sorry. Thank you so much Anna…dad.” Maxie grabs her purse and begins to head towards the door. Anna calls her name before she leaves.

“Maxie,” she begins with a serious tone. “I want you to understand how much trouble this will get your father and I into should this come out. I had to pull a lot of strings to get this done, and I don’t want you taking it lightly. If you screw up again, you will be held accountable for your actions. You’re an adult now Maxie, you can’t always run to your Mac to get you out of trouble. Do you understand what I’m saying?”

Maxie nods her head. “Good, because I don’t want to ever have to do this again. You may go.” Maxie thanks Anna and Mac once again before heading out.

Back at GH, Nikolas enters the board meeting that is being held without him in attendance. He enters the room a little angry. Everyone directs their attention to him and seem a bit surprised to see him.

“Mr. Cassadine, we didn’t expect you at today’s meeting,” says one of the board members. “We assumed that you wouldn’t attend given your current family situation.”

“Of course you would assume instead of following procedure and actually contacting me. Nevertheless, I’m here and I have something important to say. So sit down.”

“Mr. Cassadine, you have no authority to—“

“As this hospital’s largest benefactor, I have the right to do anything I damn well please, now sit your ass down,” Nikolas says angrily.

The board member sits down promptly and allows Nikolas to make his statement.

“There is a reason why I have not been to these meetings lately, as I have been tending to a small child, born prematurely at this hospital. I would love to say this is a great hospital. But I cannot. I have witnessed firsthand the incompetence of the staff, management and it’s board members and I am not pleased whatsoever. You all know my family, the Cassadines, have invested a hell of a lot of money into this hospital, more money than any family in the history of this hospital. As the head of the Cassadine Family, I control the finances. I no longer wish to fund a hospital that encourages the kind of incompetence that I’ve witnessed.”

All of the board members begin talking amongst themselves and try to reason with Nikolas, but to no avail. “Effective immediately, I am withdrawing funding from General Hospital. I would prefer Cassadine money be used to at a place that will truly help people, and not be wasted the way it is here. Good day.”

Nikolas taps the table and heads out the door of the board room, leaving everyone stunned with his statements.

Maxie stands outside the door of the police station. People were rushing past her but she ignored them. She was trying to gather her strength. She had to empty the guilt that was eating her alive for what seemed like forever. Every night she awoke to see Brandon's face looming before her. It would take her a long time to fall asleep again and thankfully, Serena was a heavy sleeper. Maxie shakes her head. She can do this. She opens the door and immediately bumps into Lucky, "Hey Lucky, have you seen my dad? It's really important."

Lucky looks down at Maxie, thinking that with her everything is always important. "Let me see if I can find him. I'll be right back."

Lucky walks down a hallway and Maxie starts to fidget. She watches the second hand on the clock and it barely seems like it is moving to her. Again, a picture of Brandon flashes before her eyes. "I can't do this." She turns and begins to run for the exit.

"Maxie!" Mac calls out, "What a pleasant surprise! I haven't seen you in such a long time. I'm so happy to see you." He walks over to her and gives his wayward niece a hug. "To what do I owe this pleasure? Need money for books or something?"

Maxie keeps her eyes downcast. "I have to talk to you about something really important. Can we go somewhere?"

Immediately Mac senses that Maxie is upset. He leads her to an empty office where they sit down. "Maxie are you ok? You know you can tell me anything. I will do anything for you, I love you like you are my daughter. I hope you know that."

"I do." Maxie takes a deep breath. "Dad, I did something really bad last year and I am so ashamed. I mean, this is really bad and I can't go on like this."

Mac immediately goes into a fatherly role. "Maxie, whatever it is, we can get over it. Just tell me what it is and I can help you."

Maxie flashes back to Dillon telling her why he’ll never be able to be involved with her. She drops her head into her arms and mumbles, "The night that Brandon Wexler was killed....I, I, uh, drugged Lucas and Dillon’s' drinks" Maxie took a deep breath. "And....because I did that...I caused his death." After she confessed, she burst into cathartic tears.

Alexis sat behind her desk and dialed Sam’s number again, and becoming very concerned about her eldest daughter. Again, the voice mail answered, and Alexis left yet another message.

“Sam, it’s mom. Please call me back as soon as you get this message. It’s important.” As Alexis hung up the receiver rather abruptly due to frustration, Ric peeked into her office.

“So you are here? I’ve been trying to reach you for a while now and you haven’t been answering the phone.”

“I’m sorry, Ric. I’ve been swamped with work and taking care of some things I need to care of. Have you heard from or seen Sam today?”

    “Why?”

“Because I’ve been trying to get a hold of her all day and I keep getting her voice mail. I’ve tried her cell, and at home, and … and I’m getting worried.” Alexis said with worry.

“Sam’s a big girl, I’m sure she’s all right. She can take care of herself.”

    “Exactly … that’s what I’m worried about.”
    <HR>
Sam reaches into her purse and sees her mother left her yet ANOTHER voicemail. You would think Alexis would get the hint the first 3 times she called. Sam waits around near the docks on Pier 9 for someone. Sam stares into the water and thinks about all the horrible things she’s done since returning from her “death” on Thanksgiving 2006. Lying, manipulating, stealing….not that it would be out of character for her to do so, but the fact that she did it to people she loves is what confounds her.

“You had better have a good reason for contacting me Samantha. I don’t take too well to being summoned.” Helena steps from the shadows glaring at Sam. “I have more important things to do than to meet with you.”

“I have spent the last year doing your bidding Helena. No more. I want my freedom, and I don’t care what I have to do in order to get it. I’m no longer your puppet, find another pawn. You hurt people. You tried to kill Carly and didn’t care that her unborn children, your great-grandchildren would be hurt in the process.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about Samantha.” Helena stares at Sam trying to read her.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. You had me feed you information about Carly, and then you made your move. I know you’re responsible for Carly’s accident, and I’m going to help put you away.”
    <HR>
"I don't think I heard you correctly. All I heard was the night Brandon was killed." Mac's eyes started to show concern.

Maxie raises her tear stained face and sobbed. "The night of....the frat party where..Brandon...was killed.....I. um, I slipped.....a drug....into....Dillon and Lucas'.....drinks." Mac looks shocked as she continues, "I set them up so Brandon would walk in and see Dillon and Lucas about to you know and ....caused them to....fight...and Brandon..he, um, he ran...into the street! I’m so sorry dad. I was…I was just so angry with Dillon for breaking up with Georgie, and I was unhappy and I just….I’m so sorry!"

Mac turns into protective father mode. He smoothes Maxie's hair back and kisses her. He pulls her into his arms like he did when she was little and she cries all the tears that she has been holding in since the frat party. Once her sobbing starts to subside, Mac looks her in the eye. "Maxie, I will be right back. Do not say a word to anyone unless I am in this room, do you hear me?" Maxie sniffs and nods as Mac leaves.

Stunned to his very core, Mac walks quickly down the hall to Anna's office, unaware Anna has been trying to find out more from her WSB contact Charlie regarding the news he contacted her about. Mac and Anna still have yet to bury the hatchet, but this was a family issue and Mac needs Anna. He knocks twice and opens the door. "Anna,"

Anna cuts him off, "Mac, I'm busy here."

"I need you right now. It's Maxie….. and right now, you are the closest thing to a mother she has." Mac closes the door behind him and lowers his voice. "Anna this is serious. She just confessed to me that she drugged Dillon Quartermaine and Lucas Jones’ drinks at the party the night that Lucas’ boyfriend Brandon Wexler was killed."

    Anna doesn't hesitate. "Let's go."

When Mac opens the door again, Maxie is seen seated at her chair, wiping her eyes and trying to catch her breath. She is relieved that Mac is back but jumps up in horror to see Anna behind him. "Uncle Mac, what is Anna doing here? I thought you said....everything...would be ok."
    <HR>
Back at the docks, Helena snaps her fingers. Suddenly two men appear and grab Sam. Helena walks over and grabs Sam’s dropped purse and begins to go through it.

“What are you doing? There’s nothing in there for you to….” Sam’s voice trails off as Helena pulls out a tape recorder.

“You silly bitch,” Helena begins, “Do you think I’m stupid?”

“That depends…if I say yes will I walk out of here alive?”

“Shut up. Did you really think I would incriminate myself on tape? As if I, Helena Cassadine would be stupid enough to fall for your ploy. If you want to play with the big girls Samantha, you had better learn more tricks.” Helena plays with the digital recorder in her hands before throwing it into the water. She then snaps her fingers for the guards to release Sam.

Sam takes this opportunity to fight off the guards. She low blows guards one, and connects with a punch to another. Sam goes to reach for Helena as she tries to escape and grabs nothing but air. Helena appears behind Sam and grabs her by the hair before pushing her into the wall and grabbing her throat with a knife pressed firmly against her neck.

“You’re going to get yours you evil wench,” Sam says gasping for air. “I’m going to take you down.”

Helena tightens her cold hand around Sam’s throat. “Better women and men than you have tried, and each time they fall short.” Helena lowers her voice to barely above a whisper. “It would take nothing….to have you, your mother or your sisters killed. You have no idea what I’m capable of. Juat ask your mother how I slit her whorish mother’s throat in front of her.” Helena stares at Sam as her eyes begin to fill with tears. She presses the knife closer against her throat and whispers a threat in her ear before walking away.

Sam begins trying to catch her breath and breaks down crying.
    <HR>
Anna walks over to Maxie and gives her a compassionate smile and hugs her tight. " ac did the right thing in coming to me. We are all family here." Anna leaned back and grasped Maxie's hands. "Ok, I want you to trust me here. I am going to do for you what I would do for Robin. You just have to trust me. Can you do that?" Maxie hesitates and nods. "When you are ready, I need you to tell me everything that happened that night."

Maxie almost falls into her seat. She looks at the floors and whispers, "Dad, Anna, I am so sorry. I never thought, never believed that when I....when I drugged their drinks....that it would end up like this. I didn't mean to kill him. You have to believe me,” wept Maxie. Mac kneels down next to her and starts to rub her back. She starts to recount everything that happened to Anna from the moment she arrived at the party to the moment Brandon was hit on the street. When she is finished unloading her story, she collapses back in her chair.

Mac stands up and glances over at Anna. Anna nods. "You did a really good thing by coming to us today Maxie. But you have to know something here. Yes you did a horrible thing when drugging those boys drinks. And I know you are going through a hard time. But you have to be held accountable for what you’ve done. The fear on Maxie’s eyes is evident as Port Charles comes to a close.

Kelly sat down next to Robin’s bed and Patrick’s chair. “Robin, I found something in your ultrasound.

“You found something, what does that mean?” Robin’s voice rose as she cut her off.
Kelly picked up the wand and put it on Robin’s belly. She maneuvered the wand to where a line appeared to be floating freely. “See this? This is a band of the amnion that has broken free and is now floating in your womb. Right now it isn’t attached to the baby or the umbilical cord. However, if it does attach, there is a very high possibility that your child will have abnormalities or deformities like a cleft palate, missing limbs or webbed feet.”

Robin burst into tears and Patrick held her as he struggled to hold back his own tears. “Oh my God, are you sure? Kelly, what can we do? What about Robin, is she going to be hurt?”

Compassion shown on Kelly’s face as she continued, “Robin will be fine, there is no danger to the mother. There is nothing that can be done here to prevent this; it is just a waiting game. I am 99% sure this is ABS, Amniotic Band Syndrome. I'll put in a call to see if we can get the machine you need to monitor your progress.”

A tear slid from Patrick’s eye, “How, how did this happen?”

Kelly explained, “There are several theories, but the one that most believe is that tissue ruptures and comes loose. We are very lucky in this case because we can monitor Robin and it may not attach itself. ”

“If I’m lucky?” Robin sobs, “If I’m lucky? My baby may have HIV and now may also have some sort of disabilities or abnormalities? Luck is never on my side Kelly.”

Kelly took a deep breath, “Well Robin, if the band attaches, we will go over your options then. I also want to know if I can have your permission to bring Dr Hayward in to consult with me because there might be heart problems for your child.”

Crying, Robin nodded. Kelly stood up, “I’m going to give you some time alone now. I will call the New York Hospital to get you in as soon as possible.” Kelly reaches out her hand and squeezes Robin’s and Patrick’s entwined hands. “I am here for you at any time. Call me or page me at any time if you ever have any questions.” Kelly closes the door behind her and sighs deeply as she hears Robin begin to sob in earnest.

Carly was sitting in the rocking chair in the nursery. It was the middle of the night. She was smiling down at her two babies, rocking them to sleep. She had just fed them and now they were yawning. She cherished this time with her sweet babies, when all was quiet and she could bond with her two babies. They were dark haired, blue eyed beauties. Looked just like the perfect combination of her and Nikolas. She drew back the blanket of one of her babies and started to scream…..

    Three months earlier….

After the accident, Carly was in and out of consciousness for days. She was not only fighting for her life, but for the life of her babies. Nikolas finally swallowed his pride and asked Jason to bring Michael and Morgan to visit Carly. Even their presence didn’t help much. The doctors were working around the clock to help save her life. Finally, she awoke. Hours later she started to have labor pains. Carly was in premature labor.

Dr. Lee and other doctors worked for close to fifteen hours. Carly’s life was in danger and she was in danger of losing her children. Carly insisted that if it came to it, to save her children instead of her. Nikolas was desperate with fear. Elizabeth called Alexis to be with him. Nikolas feared that the curse of the Cassadines was upon him now.

The delivery of the first child was very difficult. It took several intense hours but finally Carly’s and Nikolas’ daughter was born. She was very small and immediately put into an incubator. Minutes later, their son was born. He too, was smaller and also incubated. Carly had passed out from exhaustion. Because the babies were so premature and undeveloped they were whisked away before Nikolas could have a chance to see them. Until the children developed more and gained more weight, neither Carly nor Nikolas would be able to hold them. They would only be allowed to view them through the incubator.

The next day, Carly was crying to see her children. Dr. Lee allowed her to be wheeled into the nursery. Carly cried into Nikolas’ arms at the severity of the situation. The babies were less than four pounds each. Their lungs weren’t fully developed yet and it was still touch and go on whether they would survive. Because Carly wasn’t yet out of the woods, she had to go back to her room after five minutes but she urged Nikolas to stay with them.

It was New Year’s Eve when everything changed. Nikolas and Carly were able to touch their babies through the glass of the incubator. They talked to the twins’ nonstop. Wanting to make sure their children knew their voices. They told them how much they were loved by family. They even talked about the plans they had for the children. Nikolas could see the fear on Carly’s face, but struggled to remain strong for her. How could he expect her to not be a wreck if he himself was one? He knew they had to remain positive.

Suddenly, one of the monitors went off. “What the hell is that?” Carly screamed. “What’s going on? Nikolas? Someone help us!!”A nurse ran in and demanded that Carly and Nikolas leave. Nikolas tried to walk Carly out but she refused. She refused to leave her children. Soon after Dr. Webber and Dr. Lee ran in and attempted to get Carly to leave while they checked on the children. Carly and Nikolas were pushed to the wall as everyone hovered over one of the incubators. Nikolas held onto a scared and sobbing Carly as he struggled to be strong. He prayed that everything would be all right. Nikolas could only the hissing of a machine and the sound of a flat line. It was the worst sound that he ever heard.

Time seemed to have stopped. Finally after close to an hour, Kelly looked at Carly and Nikolas. She lowered her head and a sad emotion crept upon her face. Carly collapsed to the floor, her eyes swollen from all the crying. Steven called the time of death. Kelly slowly walked over to the crying couple. “I am very sorry. We did everything we could but….I’m so sorry for your loss.”

The months that followed were unbearable. Nikolas was angry at the world and began shutting those who love him out. He internalized his feelings. Carly fell into a deep depression and only was happy in the presence of her children and Victoria Nicole, her new daughter that she desperately prayed would live. Finally Lauren’s lungs were developed and she had gained enough weight. She was well enough to take home.

Carly and Nikolas struggled at first. They could not recover from the accident and the loss of their son. Carly suffered from nightmares and woke up screaming every night. Nikolas raged at the world and shut off everyone, including Lucky and Lulu. His entire being revolved around Carly and their children.

    Present Day

Nikolas shook Carly awake. He heard her scream from the master bedroom. She now slept in the nursery to be closer to Lauren. “Carly? Carly wake up! You are having a bad dream.”

“Nikolas. Oh God, I was having the same dream where I was rocking the twins and John was gone.” Carly hurried out of bed to check on a sleeping Victoria. “Look at her Nikolas. I can’t believe we almost lost her. I can’t believe that John is gone. Every night I fall asleep and I lose him again and I can’t take it anymore!”

Nikolas struggled to hold back his tears. “Please Carly, come to bed with me. Let me help you.”

“I can’t leave the baby.” Carly wiped the tears off her face, “Unless?”

“Of course you can bring her.” Nikolas said as he watched Carly lift their five month old daughter out of her crib. Together they walked to the master suite where they settled down in the bed, Lauren in between them. They talked quietly for a while, but soon the conversation stopped. Neither Carly nor Nikolas slept much; they were too deep in thought. The only sound that they could hear was the sound of Lauren’s breathing.

Jason was restless. He walked through the penthouse wondering what to do with his life. Life had changed in the last few months and he really didn’t know what to do anymore. It seemed so foreign to him not to have to report to Sonny anymore. The business was gone. His money, save for a few accounts in the Caymans and in Switzerland that couldn’t be traced were gone. The FBI even took his money from the legitimate business that he had with Sonny. For once, the FBI and the Port Charles police had beaten the mob.

Jason didn’t know where to turn next. He had tentatively made up with his family after Alan’s heart attacks. Before Monica and Alan had left for the clinic in Switzerland, he had made up with his father as best as he could. It felt good. He didn’t want to fight with anyone anymore he just didn’t have it in him. He liked to see Emily every week, but even she had changed since she started working at ELQ. She lost the innocence that was Emily. Everyone else was still the same.

“I just don’t know what to do.” Jason mumbled. He wanted to go see Carly and talk to her about things. But Carly had enough problems going on. Plus that would mean he would have to go to Wyndemere and he wasn’t exactly Nikolas’ favorite person. Nikolas couldn’t get over the fact that Jason could comfort Carly as well if not better than Nikolas could. Jason loved little Victoria as if she was his own. He almost wished he had a child to call his own. Now that he was out of the business, he could be a father. Of course, he needed a mother to go with that child and things with Elizabeth just didn’t work out.

Jason threw on a shirt and pulled on his leather jacket. He really needed to get a job. He needed to do something. He could always reopen his bike shop or work with classic cars. He always loved classic cars. He could buy some, fix them up and resell them for a profit. He would have to think about it. For now, he just wanted to go for a ride. He hopped on his bike, shifted into gear, and took off. A bike ride was the perfect way that Jason knew that could make all the tension go away.

Robin and Patrick walked out of the elevator holding hands. Robin had an appointment scheduled with Kelly for an ultrasound. For the first ultrasound, the baby’s leg was in the way and they couldn’t tell the sex. So now they weren’t even sure if they wanted to know now that they decorated the nursery like a farmhouse with farm animals painted on the wall. The previous three months had been very smooth in their relationship and in the pregnancy. So the two were in high spirits as they headed to the maternity wing.

    “Are you excited?” Patrick asked.

“Of course I am. We have to start thinking of names though for the baby. Before you know it, he or she will be here and the baby will be nameless.” Robin responded.

Patrick looked down at his fiancée as she walked next to him. He was constantly amazed by her. She was so petite, especially standing next to him, yet her belly was protruding so far out he was actually wondering if they were having twins. “If it’s a girl how about we name her Patricia after me?” Patrick asked jokingly.

Robin laughed as she opened the door to Kelly’s office. “Yeah right and if it’s a boy, we will name the baby Robert after my Dad.”

Recalling the day that Robert parachuted into their backyard as they announced the pregnancy, Patrick grimaced. “Ok you got me there.” He said as he took a seat.

The two chatted for a few minutes before Kelly came out to get them. Robin undressed and lay down on the table. Kelly chatted with Robin as she starts the exam. “Everything looks and feels great Robin and Patrick. Everything is progressing on schedule. Now, we do have an ultrasound scheduled, if I can tell what the sex is, do you want to know?”

Robin and Patrick glanced at each other, their eyes shining with love. Patrick responded, “Well, I want to know, but Robin wants to be surprised. So I guess we will go with the surprise.”

Kelly laughs as she puts the cold gel on Robin’s stomach. She expertly moves the ultrasound wand so that the couple could see their child’s head. She moved back and forth and pointed out their child’s head, nose, fingers, and toes. Delighted, Robin and Patrick kissed in joy. Neither one of them noticed that Kelly was intent on one area of Robin’s belly.

Anna walked into her office after coming out of her meeting for the last time with the FBI regarding Lorenzo’s disappearance. They forced Anna to reveal to them all her files, including her notes, regarding Lorenzo’s case and she had no choice but to comply. She took a seat behind her desk and reached into her blazer pocket for her cell phone. She had turned off her phone during the meeting, not wanting any disruptions. She sighed when she saw no one had tried to reach her.

Anna flashes back to the last time she saw Lorenzo. Sonny & Lorenzo were fighting aboard Lorenzo’s boat when it exploded. An injured Lorenzo swam back to the docks with an unconscious Sonny in tow. Lorenzo swore he was innocent of everything Sonny has accused him of, and was determined to prove his innocence. He begged Anna to let him clear his name. Against her better judgment, she allowed him to do so. One final kiss took place before he took off for places unknown.

ADA Darin Palmer knocked on her door and invited himself into her office. “I thought the meeting went well, don’t you?” Palmer asked as he approached Anna at her desk.

“Yeah, real well.” Anna replied in a snarky tone. “I don’t like this Palmer, not one bit.”

“Don’t worry about it. No one knows and no one is going to know. It’s under control.”

“Let’s hope so because I enjoy my job and I savor the air I breathe.” As the two finished up their conversation, Anna’s cell phone rang. “Hmm unknown number” she thought and her mind raced to the only possibility. “Lorenzo?” She answered and was a disappointed to hear it was someone else.

Palmer excused himself from Anna’s office while she began her conversation with the caller. “Charlie? It’s been a long time.” Anna replied. “You wouldn’t be calling me unless there was a problem.”

Charlie was Anna’s WSB contact in London. Receiving a call from him meant not good news for her and she began to worry as to why he was calling this time. “Agent Devane…there was an incident that happened recently and I felt it best to inform you.”

“What kind of a incident, Charlie?”

“We lost contact with…..in the middle of a mission. It’s very………..that you brace………….for a ………………” Charlie’s voice begins breaking up over the phone.

“Charlie?! Charlie you’re breaking up. Who did you lose contact with?” Suddenly the line goes dead. Anna ended the call and immediately began to worry. Did something happen to her sister Alex? She grabbed her coat and closed the door behind her as she left the office.
    <HR>
Kelly set the ultrasound wand down and forced a smile on her face, however it didn’t meet her eyes. She told the two of them that she would be right back, to sit tight and she would return in a few minutes. Kelly hurried out to her front office and paged Dr. Steven Webber to her office stat.

“Kelly, what’s going on?” Patrick followed her out and closed the door behind him. “I know you saw something on the ultrasound. Don’t keep me in the dark here; this is my child we are talking about!”

Kelly crossed her arms and sighed. She had never seen this before and she wanted to make sure she was correct before scaring her patient. She held up a hand, “Please Patrick, I just called in a consult. Then I will know more.”

Patrick splayed his hand through his hair, “Come on Kelly, just tell me.”

“Robin must be wondering what is going on. Please go in there while I wait for Dr. Webber.” She watched as Patrick finally gives in and goes into the office.

“Kelly, how can I help you?” Steven walks in and closes the door behind him. “What’s going on?”

“It’s Robin Scorpio and I need your help.” She quickly filled him in on her fears. “I just need a second opinion on this. Can you look at this print out of her ultrasound?” Kelly points her finger to a certain area. “Do you see what I see?”

Steven examines the ultrasound thoroughly. “Yes Kelly, it is. I don’t envy you telling them. Let me know what I can do to help.”

    Kelly wanly smiled, “Thanks.”

Robin sat up, concern spread all over her face. “Kelly, is something the matter with the baby? What’s going on?” Robin reached for Patrick’s hand and subtly squeezed. “Please Kelly, you are scaring me.”

PC begins with a scene of Carly floating in the water. Flashes of red and blue light take over with muffled sounds coming through. A bright light appears as a small dot, growing bigger and bigger as the voices becoming clearer. The scene fades to Nikolas standing over Carly in the ambulance holding her hand and talking to her. Carly is hooked up to a bunch of machines. The EMT's ask Nikolas to sit back as they try to work on Carly. The look of fear shows strongly on Nikolas face. The clock turns back as the scene takes us to Mac Scorpio's house.
    <HR>
Everyone toasts to Robin & Patrick. A loud plane flies overhead. Something in the sky catches Anna's attention. "What in the hell?"

Someone in a parachute drops in from the sky dressed in all black. The person slowly begins taking off the chute and the helmet.

The scene alternates between the expressions of Mac, Anna & Robin.

    "Oh…." Mac begins.

    "My…." Anna continues…

The person finally takes off the helmet. "Dad?!!!" Robin asks confused as hell.

"There can't be a party without me." Robert says cheerfully with his thick Australian accent. "Come give daddy a hug!"

"What are you doing here?" Robin asks with a surprised tone.

"I wasn't going to miss out on the chance of pampering my little girl when she's expecting!" Robert says walking over giving Robin a big hug. Patrick goes over to shake Robert's hand but Robert pulls his hand away. "You……," Robert points at Patrick, "I'll deal with you later."

Robert walks over to the table where the food is and mumbles under his breath about Patrick. Patrick asks Robin if he should worry about Robert's reaction. Robin tells him no. He'd have to worry if Robert was being extremely nice.

Meanwhile, David, Kelly, Steven, and Liz get a page from GH while enjoying the festivities at Robin and Patrick’s party. Their pagers go off simultaneously and their heads turn towards each other and wonder what could be happening.

“I wonder what happened now, especially for all of us to get the call.” David remarked as they all grabbed their coats and headed to the hospital. David kisses Lucy on the cheek and thanks her for inviting him to the party.

Kelly asks Liz for a ride to the hospital, since she doesn't have a way there. Liz tosses her the keys while she says a quick goodbye to everyone. When asked why they're all getting pages, Liz remarks that it's probably because some doctors are on vacation. She promises to update Robin & Patrick on what happened at the hospital the first chance she gets.

Anna gets a call informing her that the sting she's been setting up is going down as they speak, and she should come down to the docks to get an update. Anna excuses herself and says her goodbyes, saying duty calls. She grabs her jacket and keys and heads out.
    <HR>
The scene shifts to present time with Nikolas riding in the ambulance with Carly and the EMT's. Dispatch says Carly's doctor has been paged and should be at the hospital shortly. Nikolas re-assures Carly that everything will be ok as soon as they get to the hospital. Nikolas tears up when he flashes back to seeing Carly being rescued…..

Nikolas comes upon the accident scene as a lifeless Carly is extricated from the water and wheeled has towards the ambulance that is waiting for her. The paramedics give her CPR to clear the fluid from her lungs. Nikolas screams to them that she's pregnant. The paramedics secure her onto their cart and wheel her to the ambulance, Nikolas rushes to her side overwhelmed with concern and worry for her and their twins.

Nikolas latched onto her hand and tried to re-assure her it was going to be all right, as he stepped into the ambulance with her. "Carly? Can you hear me? I'm right here with you, sweetheart. We’re on the way to the hospital; everything is going to be okay." The words escaped his lips as he sobbed. As the paramedics worked on Carly and got her prepped for the hospital ER staff.
    <HR>
    Present time…..

Only a short distance to the hospital, the doctors arrived soon after the ambulance did. The paramedics rushed Carly into the ER with Nikolas following along side, still holding on to Carly’s hand. As the gurney approached the double doors, Nikolas was forced to stay behind. He was told only hospital personnel were allowed past the doors.

Nikolas's fear is replaced with anger as he verbally rips into the nurse. "I am not waiting out here for Carly, I’m going with her! She is carrying my children!" Nikolas protested but to his dismay, the hospital staff had to enforce hospital policy.

"Damn it!" He screams before punching he wall. "If you…if you don't let me in there, I will have you fired. Do you know who I am?! DO YOU? I am Nikolas Cassadine. My family and I practically own this institution you call a hospital! Either I get there to be with my fiancée or I'm going make sure you never do more than sweep floors in this hospital!"

Elizabeth enters just in time to see Nikolas going off on a group of hospital workers. "Nikolas? What is wrong with you? Why are you yelling at these people?"

"These people won't let me in there," Nikolas says with much disdain. "I have a right to be int here Elizabeth."

"Wait a minute, that call was about someone you know?" Elizabeth asks, completely oblivious to the situation unfolding. "If it Lulu? Lucky? Did something happen to him?"

Nikolas tells her no. He gives her the abridged version of what happened with Carly, and explains that's why he's so upset. Elizabeth politely asks the staff to let him through, and if there's any repercussions, she'll take the blame. Liz swipes her badge and takes Nikolas through the staff area before getting to the nurses station.

"Wait here and I'll find out what's going." Elizabeth said touching his arm compassionately.

“Thank you Elizabeth. I need to know what's going on with Carly. She’s alone in there and I wanted to go in with her …but, they told me I had to wait!”

“Okay, you stay here and try to calm down. It’s going to be all right. Carly is in the best of hands.” Elizabeth said trying to re-assure a panicked and overwhelmed Nikolas.

As Nikolas watches, other doctors rush past him and through the double doors, his mind starts reeling about what could be happening in there with Carly and the twins. He stands by the double doors and waits to hear something from Elizabeth, just as Jason steps off the elevator.

Jason just received a call from Monica asking him to come to the hospital because of Alan. He checks in at the nurses' station and sees an upset Nikolas pacing back and forth.

As he approaches Nikolas, Nikolas quickly turns around to see Jason walking towards him.
"You! You get the hell out of here, Jason! You are not wanted here or needed! This is all your fault! If anything happens to Carly or our children, I am holding you solely responsible!" Nikolas shouted as he pointed his finger in Jason’s face.

Jason stares blankly at Nikolas. The levity of Nikolas' anger taking a while to sink in. "What's your problem? And what about Carly? What's wrong?” Jason asked, ignoring Nikolas’ threats.

"Is that all you can say? You are not at all concerned with who did this? I can tell you who did this, your mob pals did this, that’s who! They forced her car off the road and it went off the bridge, Jason!"

"Carly was in an accident? Why was she driving? She doesn't like to drive. It scares the hell out of her."

Nikolas says he convinced Carly to come to Wyndemere because he had a surprise for her.

"Are you crazy? You forced her to do something that she's terrified to do. I think the one who you should blame here is YOU! If you loved her like you claim you do, you wouldn't have asked her to get behind the wheel of a car."

Jason stares a hole through Nikolas, ready to beat the hell out of him. The two exchanged threats for a while before Elizabeth emerged from the secure area and put herself in between them.

“Are you two finished?! Please this is a hospital!” Elizabeth snapped at Nikolas and Jason. "Calm down." The two stepped back from each other as Elizabeth regained her composure.

Nikolas cooling down spoke up. "How is she, the twins?? Tell me they are all going to be okay?!”

"Unfortunately I don't know all the details. Dr. Lee is with Carly now. All I know is Carly is surrounded by a team of wonderful doctors who'll make sure she and your children pull through." Elizabeth hugs Nikolas and rushes back over to assist with anything she can.

Jason turns away and takes out his phone, placing a phone call to Sonny. Nikolas paces back and forth a nervous wreck.

The doctors come out with Carly on the gurney and take her to the elevator. Nikolas tries to talk to Kelly Lee, but her attention is solely on Carly. She calls Elizabeth into the elevator with her. Nikolas overhears her saying if they don't get Carly stabilized soon, the twins will be at risk.

The doors to the elevator shut as the episode comes to an end.

Has the Writer's Strike Affected mySON TV networks?
    Written by: Striking Writer

If you've checked out the mySON TV network as of late, you will have noticed the changing landscape of the blog scene. Eight shows have appeared to have halted production since November. Could there be behind the scenes changes on the horizon? Have the showrunners pulled the blog on their soaps? Or have some of the head writers on mySON TV chosen to strike with the guild brethren?

Many mySON TV writers are believed to be members of the Blog Writers Guild Association/Fan Fiction Guild Association (FFGA/BWGA), though many believe it doesn't exist. Some shows, through their respective production companies (SONBC and SONOP) have made deals with the Guild to continue production. Other shows, such as "Port Charles," "Cuffs," and "Genoa City" have yet to do so.

    More on this to come.......

Forty five minutes later, Carly grabs her things and gets in the car. Nervously she turns the key and calls Nikolas. "So how are all three of my babies?" Nikolas asks, in an effort to get Carly in a good mood.

It does the trick. "Well, I think our little boy is a mood tonight! He is rolling around and doing lots of kicking. Our little girl though, she is the feisty one. She too is kicking as usual. She never stops. It's like a soccer game in here" Carly smiles, thinking off her children and looks into the rear view mirror.

Nikolas' smooth voice comes over the line. "Obviously, our little girl takes after you."

"Of course she does!" Carly laughs. The two continue to talk as Carly drives. Nikolas is doing a really good job keeping her calm. "Where are you Carly?"

Looking into the mirror again, Carly sees a car turn from a side road and is several car length behind her. She pays no attention to it.

Since Alan's heart attack, Monica has been coming to the Cardiac Care Unit to get updates on Alan and to visit with him. She hates to think of him as lonely. She will chat with him about what is going on in the world and tell him how Emily finally hugged her. She hasn't been able to tell him about their breakthrough, but hopes it will lead to more civil interactions between them. Monica opens up the door and kisses his smooth cheek. She's grateful that someone, probably AJ or Ned is shaving for him. Then she grasps his hand and rubs it against her cheek. "Good morning my love." Monica whispers to her husband.

"It's another day honey and again you are here. I really hope you can hear me. Emily hugged me the other day. It's the first time she's hugged me since she's been back home. It felt so good to be comforted by our daughter. Oh Alan, she is so beautiful, but so angry at me. I know that I deserve her anger, I deserve everyone's anger." Monica sighs. "On the plus side, AJ and I are making inroads. We have been talking a lot and he regrets a lot of what he has done in the past. You know, Carly has allowed Michael to come see you."

Monica pauses as tears start to form in her eyes. She waits until the tears subside. "Michael actually wants to see you." Monica stands up and takes a look at Alan's chart. She is happy that David is the doctor for Alan, she may not like him, but he is the best cardiologist in the East. She sits down next to him and fills him in on Robin's pregnancy as well as Carly's. She then looks out the window.

Maxie and Anna stand up as the doorbell rings and the guests start to arrive. As grandfather of the new baby, Noah was the first to arrive. Noah feels a little uncomfortable being around everyone, but Anna goes out of her way to assure Noah that he'll enjoy himself. Mac walks over and apologizes for what happened with Bobbie. Noah tells him no apologies needed. Mac had a job to do, and he did it. The two men shake hands and agree to have a good time.

Lainey and Kelly arrived as well as Steven and Elizabeth with Blake. Lucky & Emily came soon after followed by Epiphany, Lucy, David, Ned, and Jax. People were starting to mingle and catch up with one another.

Emily hugs Elizabeth and the two begin to catch up. Elizabeth asks how Lucky is doing following their divorce. Emily says he's doing ok. It appears as if he's moving on with his life. Elizabeth gazes over at Lucky, who looks back at her. Their eyes meet for a few seconds, before they both break away and return to their respective conversations. Emily suggests Liz do the same thing. If there's one thing that came from their divorce, it's that they decided to be civil for Cameron's sake. Emily hopes through that bond, they will be able to become friends again. For now, Emily wants to know all about Elizabeth's friend Blake.

Jax heads over to the bar area and is shortly joined by Anna. "Should I put my number on a milk carton?" She asks sarcastically. "It's that it's lost. Have you seen it?"

Jax nervously smiles. "Maybe I would have called if I had known you were interested. See, I don't like being used to make others jealous Commissioner." Jax says referring to Anna's flirtations with Lorenzo. "I'm not stupid. I know you have a thing for him. I'm finished dating women with an attraction to those in the underworld." Jax excuses himself and walks away from Anna, leaving her speechless. It's not every day someone resists her charms. But he's got a point.

"They're here!" Maxie yells excitedly. "Everyone get ready."

The guests in the house lower their voices and anxiously await the arrival of Robin and Patrick. The doorbell rings, Maxie lets them in and everyone yells surprise! Brenda & Maxie hi-five each other, smiling at a job well done. Anna & Mac exchange glances, smiling after seeing the happy look on Robin's face. The two of them deciding to call a truce was worth seeing Robin glowing.

Back at the hospital, Monica lets several minutes pass before she starts to speak, "I made such a mistake when I had my affair with Kevin. I don't know what came over me. I guess a part of me missed being wanted the way he wanted me. You and I were have so many problems that I forgot the things that made you and I so great. Ever since your heart attack, I've thought about all of the good moments we've had. When I think about all of the crap we've put each other through, it makes me wonder how we could have ever loved each other."

Monica leans back in her chair and smiles. "But with every bad memory, there is one that is just as better. Like the night before my cancer surgery, I was so afraid that no one would want to ever be with me. But you, you made me feel like such a beautiful woman that night. Monica flashes back to the night before her cancer surgery….

    <object width="325" height="255"><param name="movie" value=" name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Tears form in her eyes as she stands up. "How could I have been so stupid?" She says to herself angrily. "I have to get back to work now my love. Please know that in all my heart, I want those times back with you. I love you with all my heart. I will ALWAYS love you, forever and always!"

Monica starts to weep. She puts her head on his chest and whispers over and over again that she loves Alan. "Monicaaaaaa" Alan whispers as his eyes start to focus….

Carly relaxes a little after being so stressed about driving. Her fear of driving is quite rational. For years she believed her best friend died in a tragic car accident…and accident that left Carly with a great fear of driving. Then there's the accident from a few years ago. Nikolas being on the phone with her really eased her fears.

"I am going up the hill before the bridge. I should be there in about five minutes or so. Why?"

Nikolas laughs sexily. "I'm walking out to the terrace now. Maybe I'll see you driving by. I have a wonderful surprise for you.

"You better!" Carly accelerates to get up hill. She reaches the crest of the hill and starts to go down. She starts to brake and realizes that there is no tension in her brake and she is in fact, gaining speed. "Nikolas..." Fear starts to edge into her voice. "Something is wrong with the car."

The scene cuts back to the Scorpio household. Everyone is in the backyard eating and enjoying themselves. Mac asks for everyone's attention so he can make a toast.

"There comes a time in every man's life where he has to accept some truths. Robin, you have been like a daughter to me. I've cared for you since you were a young teenager and I've watched you grow into a wonderful, beautiful woman….and a talented physician. I've seen you through the best of times, and through the worst of times. From first boyfriends, to first heartaches, and now…." Mac chokes back his tears. "Now you're going to be a mother. It thrills me to see you so happy." Mac hugs Robin and turns to Patrick. "You make Robin happy, and that's enough to win me over. To Robin & Patrick…and the life they created!"

"There can't be a party without me." Robert says cheerfully with his thick Australian accent. "Come give daddy a hug!"

The scene shifts to Nikolas standing on the terrace of Wyndemere. "You are almost here Carly! Are you on the bridge yet?"

"Yes and I can't stop!" Carly turns her head and sees the black sedan coming faster and is right behind her. The sedan is very close to her. Panic rushes through her body as she yells, "Get the hell away from me!" The car nudges her, sending her car dangerously forward. "What the! Oh my God!" She is able to control the car as she yells out to Nikolas.

Nikolas is seen gripping the phone, panic written all over his face. "Carly, what is going on? CARLY!!!! Talk to me damn it! Are you ok?"

Nikolas hops over the edge of the terrace and runs to the Cliffside of Spoon Island. From the distance, he can see a clearer view of the bridge. Back at the bridge, again the car hits Carly's and sets her out of control in a spin. Carly unbuckles her seatbelt. She tries to shoulder her door open but is hit again. The force knocks her forward, causing her to bang her head on the steering wheel. The black sedan crashes into her car yet again. The scene shifts to her car slowly going off the bridge.

    Cut to black……

She tries to make out what it is, but the more she tries to focus on the scene, the blurrier her vision becomes. She walks slowly towards what has her attention. She hears people calling her name, telling her they love her, but she can't get to them. Suddenly, she appears at the hospital, watching someone being operated on. She turns to her right and tries to make out the faces staring through the window. 4 people, crying, afraid for the person inside on the operating table. Suddenly Carly appears inside the room with the doctors. They declare the person dead. Carly eases over to the table and removes the sheet…..a horrified looks comes upon Carly's face! Suddenly……..

Carly sits up and screams in panic. She puts her face her hands, letting her hair fall forward. She takes a deep breath and flips her hair back. "Not again," she says to herself. This has been a recurring nightmare of Carly's October. Each time, it just scares her senseless. She goes to her closet to put on her robe when she notices her bedroom door was locked. Carly never locks her door when she's home with the boys. Something could happen and they may need to get into her room. She chalks it up to accidentally locking the door, oblivious to the fact that she wasn't alone in her room last night….

Alexis knocks on the door to Nikolas' study and enters the room. She kisses her nephew and sits down to catch up on how things are with him. Nikolas says beyond a little run in with Helena, he's doing great. Alexis shudders and curses the evil matriarch of the Cassadine family. Nikolas decides to talk about something positive, and begins beaming from ear to ear, happily telling Alexis things between he and Carly have never been better. Alexis specifically asks about Nikolas, not necessarily Carly. Nikolas tells Alexis that she's going to have to learn how to tolerate Carly sooner or later. She is carrying her great-niece & nephew. Alexis jokingly asks if Nikolas is sure the babies are his. Nikolas looks offended, but Alexis says she has a point.

Nikolas re-assures his aunt that the twins are indeed his, and he's looking forward to his new life together with Carly….with or without Alexis' approval. Alexis smirks at Nikolas, then rolls her eyes. Alexis says it's obvious that he loves Carly, and Carly even loves Nikolas. So as long as he's happy, she's happy. Nikolas tells her that's great, because he's going to want her to be at his wedding. Once Alexis picks her jaw up from the floor, she forces out a congratulations and hugs Nikolas all the while gritting her teeth. Nikolas says it's not a done deal yet. He plans on asking Carly today. Alexis says well then it's a that she wanted to spend some time Spencer. Nikolas has Alfred get Spencer ready to go with Alexis, while he takes Alexis to see the living room. He explains to her he originally wanted to do a dinner party, but Lucky & Lulu thought it'd be a little odd, especially if Carly said no. Nikolas walks Alexis down the hall and opens the door to the living room, showing off what he and his brother & sister came up with.

The Scorpio House was decorated festively for the party to celebrate Robin and Patrick's pregnancy. Brenda, Maxie and Anna were all there, working hard to get the house complete. The house was cleaned and Brenda was just going through making sure everything was perfect. Brenda had called Jax and used his contacts to use the best catering company New York City had to offer. Because of him, they now had so much food and drinks the kitchen was overflowing. Tables were set up so that the food could be served buffet style. Brenda had hired some of the workers from the catering company to work the party.

Anna and Maxie were sitting on the couch, looking through the picture book of Robin and Patrick. They, along with Noah, had put together old baby pictures into a book to give to the happy couple. Brenda had taken some of the pictures and blew them up and hung them around the house. Very soon, people would start to arrive.

Brenda walked into the living room and surveyed the room. "I think everything is all set." Brenda glanced at her watch. "People will start getting here. I am so excited!"
    <HR>
Carly was going to take advantage of this day. She wasn't feeling 100%, but then again, that was what pregnancy was all about. She just wanted to curl up on the couch and catch some past episodes of Gossip Girl, her new favorite TV show that she TiVo's ever week. Michael and Morgan were at school and then were going to be picked up by Sonny (against her better judgment) so they can go shopping. She was happy to have some down time after the events of the past few weeks. She glances over at a picture of herself and Bobbie and feels sad.

Settling down with some ice cream, Carly sighs when her cell rings. It's Nikolas. "Hey babe. What are you doing?"

Nikolas looks around the living room at Wyndemere. He had their chef make all of Carly's favorite dishes…which isn't very hard since it's all junk food. Flowers were everywhere as well as non scented candles because he knew that recently, the scented ones made her sick. He had a beautiful kimono flown in from Japan for Carly. He also went out to purchase massage oils so that he could rub her belly just the way she liked. Hanging up on the doorway was his tuxedo. "I need to see you right away. Could you please come over here?"

Carly sighs again and looks longingly at her ice cream and her TV. "Nikolas, I really don't feel like it. The boys are gone and I really just want this day to myself."

"Please Carly." Nikolas insists. She refuses and they go back and forth. He firmly tells her that he has to see her and she finally tells him that if he wants to see her, he has to come to her. "I can't Carly. You have to come to Wyndemere."

"Nikolas, I sent my driver away with the boys. Why can't this wait until tomorrow or better yet, send me your car?" Carly whines.

Nikolas begins to get a little annoyed. He knows Carly may not be in the best of moods after having to say goodbye to her mother as she went off to jail only the day before, but maybe this will make her happy. "My driver brought took Alexis & Spencer back to the main island and he won't be back anytime soon." Nikolas explains. "Trust me; this will be worth your while." Nikolas cajoles.

Carly stands up and pulls down her Liz Lange maternity shirt over her leggings. She could drive herself over there, but everyone knows her paranoia about driving. She looks out the window and sees that the sky is clear. She reluctantly gives in. "Fine ok. I will be there in about thirty minutes. But I want you to talk to me the entire time….you know I hate driving!" She pouts. Carly says I love you to Nikolas and hangs up after Nikolas agrees to her terms.

Nikolas smiles and takes Carly's engagement ring out of his pocket and smiles. The scene transitions to Carly walking upstairs to change clothes, before fading into her garage, where the brake fluid from Carly's car leaks slower and slower.

Mac slides back the door to Bobbie's jail cell. He informs her that it was time. In a plea bargain agreement, Bobbie was being sentenced to ten months in jail, time served, 1 year mandatory alcohol rehabilitation, to be served during her time in jail. Afterwards, 2 months in-patient, 4 months out-patient. Loss of license for 6 years. Five years probation, 3000 hours community service and a fined $35,000. Bobbie asks Mac if her family is there. Mac hesitates before telling her that Noah, Luke, Lulu, Lucky, Carly and Michael were there. Bobbie starts to tear up when she realizes that Lucas isn't coming.

At Wyndemere, Helena is sitting in the rocking chair holding little Spencer. She flashes back to knocking out the nanny with chloroform and making seem as if she passed out downstairs. She holds her great-grandson in her arms and sniffs his hair.

"You have a brilliant future ahead of you my child. You are destined to do great things, as your father once was. Unfortunately, Nikolas was too blinded by outside parties to realize his true potential. It's a shame I'm forbidden to spend time with you my young prince. Oh, the things I could teach you….if only your father would just do the right thing and give you to me. I would raise you to maximize your full potential."

Helena gently rocks Spencer back and forth in the chair putting him to sleep. She lays him down and walks over to the dresser, which has pictures of Courtney (Spencer's mother), and Nikolas & Carly. Helena's eyes fixates on Carly. She takes the picture out of the frame and rips it apart before laying it back down on the dresser. Helena makes her way back over to Spencer's bed and watches over him.

"Get the hell away from my son," says Nikolas glaring at Helena from the doorway.

Bobbie follows Mac into the main lobby area where her family is gathered. Bobbie hugs Lucky and Lulu, telling them that she loves them very much. Luke gathers her into a big hug and whispers that he will always be there for her. Bobbie replies that she knows, and wipes the tears from her eyes. Luke and his children leave after telling her that they will keep in touch.

Michael hugs his grandmother and tells her that he loves her and will miss her. Bobbie asks Carly where Morgan is and Carly replies that she didn't want her youngest to see his grandmother in handcuffs. Bobbie nods and asks how Lucas is. Carly shakes her head and begins to tear up. She tells her mother how devastated he's been. She says eventually he'll come around, but for now all they can do is give him his space. She hugs her mother and begins crying. She promises she'll keep in contact with Bobbie, and when she gets out, she's going to be a new grandma! Carly kisses Bobbie on the cheek and says goodbye. She puts her arm around Michael's shoulder and leads him out of the police station without saying another word.

"Get the hell away from my son," Nikolas says standing in the doorway. "I won't tell you again Helena."

Helena slowly backs away from young Spencer and allows Nikolas to come over and check the child. When he sees no visible harm has been done, he orders her out of the room. Nikolas closes the door to the room and proceeds to lay into his grandmother.

"What are you doing here. How dare you show your face here after what you've done to Sam & Alexis. You have ruined that girls life, the same way you tried to ruin Lucky's life."

Helena laughs in Nikolas face, knowing that he's oblivious to what she's set into motion. "Maybe you should begin worrying about those close to you, instead of your worthless cousin."

Nikolas seems interested on Helena's comment. "What…or should I say who should I be worrying about?"

"Try all you want Nikolas, but you cannot stop me from making sure you fulfill your destiny. I will continue to protect the legacy of the Cassadine family. Even if that means hurting those that you care about. I've been distracted Nikolas, but I'm more focused than ever. And I intend on correcting the mistakes you've made, and making sure you learn from them."

Helena then walks away, leaving Nikolas to think about what she's said. Nikolas re-enters Spencer's room and notices the ripped photo on his dresser. He suddenly has a feeling something bad is going to happen.

Bobbie looks up at Noah with fresh tears in her eyes. She confesses that she made so many mistakes, but she wants to make everything right. Noah says that she is on the right path to do that. He cups her face and touches his lips to hers, "Remember Bobbie, I love you. I will come visit you as often as they let me." Bobbie's smile wavers as she realizes that this is goodbye for now. Mac comes up to her and tells her that it's time to go. "I love you Bobbie," Noah tells her, his heart in his eyes. "I have always loved you."

As Mac leads Bobbie away, something catches her attention from the corner of her eye. She turns and is surprised to see Lucas. He stares with much pain in his eyes. Though they don't say anything to each other, just Lucas being there is enough for Bobbie. She tells Mac she's ready as he takes her back to her cell.

Lucas watches as Bobbie is carted away. Tears slowly fall down his face as he mouths, "I love you."

    Later that night…..

A mysterious intruder has just exited the garage of Carly's house. They take out their cell phone and place a call, saying "It's done."

It's the next morning in Port Charles, and at Wyndemere, Nikolas talks with Lucky about Bobbie's sentencing. Neither is aware that Helena is eavesdropping from one of the tunnels behind Nikolas' desk. Lucky isn't sure how his dad will get along without Bobbie. Those two have been attached to the hip since coming to Port Charles. This is the first time that being apart is beyond their control. Helena is shown mouthing "oh poor Luke" in a sarcastic tone to herself. Nikolas asks when Lucky is leaving for the courthouse. Lucky says he's picking up Lulu, Carly & Michael, and then heading over. Nikolas is happy the three of them are sticking together. He would have gone with them, but Carly asked him not to go.

Nikolas says he wants to do something special for Carly. Something that will take her mind off of her problems and make her think about her future. Lucky asks what he has in mind. Nikolas walks over to his locked desk, and takes out a box. He tosses it to Lucky. Lucky's eyes sparkle when he opens the box. Inside is an engagement ring.

"You can close your mouth now," Nikolas says smiling. "This is the one. This is the ring that I will place on her finger at our engagement party."

"Engagement party? You're gonna ask Carly to marry you?"

"Yes I am." Nikolas takes the ring back and places it in his desk. "The time has come for Carly and I to take the next step. I just hope she'll do me the honor of becoming my wife."

Lucky gives his brother a hug, telling him to do what makes him and his son happy….even if it means being with Carly. Nikolas asks for Lucky's support in making their engagement party work. It's nothing too big. Only friends and family…those that will come that is….and a nice dinner…..and it's going to be tomorrow! Alfred can set everything up, all Lucky has to do is help Nikolas supervise. Lucky gives his brother his word and promises not to say anything to Carly. Nikolas says he has to run into the city, so he'll ride the launch with Lucky back to Port Charles. When the two exit, Helena comes out and sits down at Nikolas' desk in the dark. She mocks her grandson for not locking his desk back, and takes out the ring.

"I'd curse you, but I doubt you'll ever make to Carly's ring finger," says Helena to the ring. "Soon Caroline will be nothing but a memory. Another name in the long list of woman who my grandson will have mourned for."

Helena tosses the ring back into the draw, and heads out the way she came in.

Noah walks through his and Bobbie's brownstone, gathering mementos for Bobbie to take with her, if she can, when she goes away. He's been such a horrible husband. He thought they could hide behind their love, but it was only temporary. Hell…is their love even real? Would they have gotten married if it wasn't for Bobbie's legal troubles? Who knows? They've barely even had time to enjoy being married. Always afraid of the other shoe dropping and being exposed. The truth of the matter is that he doesn't what he'll do while she's away. He can put on a brave face and continue on with his career, but he'll still come home to an empty house.

Noah walks into the den and picks up a picture of he and Bobbie from their quick Vegas wedding. She looks really happy. Noah puts down the picture, and picks up another one from last Christmas. It's the first "family" picture, before they were truly a family. The looks on the faces of those in the photo: Bobbie, Noah, Carly, Patrick & Lucas are all that of happy people. Noah shakes his head and walks away. Noah looks at the invitation to the party being held at Mac's for Robin & Patrick. That'll be his first public showing since Bobbie will be in jail. He doesn't know how he'll make it without her….
    <HR>
Meanwhile, Dante and Lucas are working out at the campus gym when Lucas' phone rings. Lucas excuses himself and answers his phone.

"Hello?....Hi Carly……I'm at the gym……yes I know about Bobbie's sentencing……I'm not going…….Because I don't want to. Why should I? All that our mother has done is cause me pain for the past year. I'm sick of it……Look, I don't have time for this……Yeah, I love you do. Bye."

Lucas hangs up his phone and sits down on the bench. Dante walks over out of breath and sweating. He asks if everything is ok. Lucas tells him no, it's not. Lucas tells him that Carly wants him to go to Bobbie's sentencing later. He doesn't know if he's ready to see her. How can he look at her after everything she's done?

Dante listens to Lucas vent to him about his issues with Bobbie, then decides to give his friend some sage advice. "We only have one mother Lucas. You were fortunate enough to have two. From what I've gathered, Bobbie has loved you since you were a little kid. She's been there for you as a real mother would for her child. In a perfect world, Bobbie would have accepted you coming out and embraced you. But this isn't a perfect world Lucas." Dante seems to be speaking from a personal place, but Lucas doesn't notice. "It was difficult for her to accept your life. Not because she hated you, but because she was afraid for you. Your mother made a huge mistake. A horrible mistake, but she's going to pay for it in more ways than one. You may never be able to forgive her for what she's done, but you still love her. Your love may be the reason she's able to overcome her alcohol dependency. Your love may be the reason she comes out of this a better person. Think about that Lucas. Some of us wish we could have a mother to fight with."

Dante grabs his towel and wipes off his chest and face. He tells Lucas to think about what he said before taking off. Lucas forward and puts his face in his hands. He pulls his wet hair away from his face and sits back shaking his head. Maybe Dante's right. In his anger towards his mother, he's lost all of the good times they had together. But how is he supposed to forget that she killed the man he loved? How can he put that behind him? Lucas grabs his stuff and heads back to his apartment, he has a big decision to make.

Alexis strides in her office with coffee and Bobbie's file in hand. She throws the file down on her desk and goes to the door yelling for Ric to get into her office. He walks in and closes the door, asking her what's wrong. She is frowning and pinching her nose and remarks, "I just got out of a meeting with Mayor Floyd. Not only does he want us to go after Bobbie with all guns blazing, he told me that if I didn't get it done, he would most likely force me to resign."

Ric clenches his fists together. "That son of a bitch. He has no right!"

"Yeah well, I still want to see what Bobbie's lawyer has for us." Alexis checks her watch. "Bobbie and her lawyer should be getting here very shortly."

Darin Palmer opens that door, an air of arrogance surrounding him. "I just got a call from the Mayor. He wants me to sit in on the meeting, make sure that the two of you are playing by the book and not showing any favors for Mrs. Drake." Darin sits down at the conference table. "I told the Mayor you two wouldn't mind."

"Actually Mr. Palmer, since I am handling this case, I DO mind. You are walking on a dangerous line with me, saying that I will treat her differently than any other person that walks through this office. It is insulting not only as an officer of the court, but as a person." Alexis fires back at Darin. "So I would appreciate it if you get out of my office."

Darin shrugs and says mockingly, "No can do."

Alexis prepares to launch into a tirade against Darin when a knock on the door interrupts her. Alexis clears her throat, "Who is it?"

"Scott Baldwin representing Barbara Jean Drake." Scott says as he enters the room with Bobbie. "Hello counselors, pleasure to see some of you again" Scott smirks. Alexis and Ric look at each other and Alexis raises an eyebrow.

Carly enters Sonny's house with much concern.

"I'm glad you came Mrs. C," Max says. "The boss really needs you." Max shows Carly into the den where Sonny is sitting alone in the dark. "I'll leave you two alone."

Carly bites her lip and sits down on the sofa. "Sonny? Sonny….it's Carly. How are you?"

Sonny looks up at Carly with dead eyes, before turning his head away from her. "Get out."

"Sonny? Don't do this. Don't shut me out. Talk to me, tell me what's wrong." Carly walks over and touches his face. "You know you can trust me." She grabs his shaking hand and tries to calm him down.

"I don't trust myself. Why do you think I haven't had the boys here? I can't protect them anymore! My son….Michael….attacked on his way home like he was nothing…NOTHING!" Sonny throws his glass towards the wall, shattering it into a million pieces. "That should have never happened. He should have never been affected by this business. I have no one to blame but myself."

Carly can't really disagree with Sonny on that part. It's his choices that have led to his family being vulnerable. However, she doesn't share that with him. Instead, she chooses to defend Sonny and support him. "No Sonny. You have done the best you can to protect us. You're not perfect. You make mistakes. But you learn from them."
    <HR>
Scott and Bobbie sit down and Scott opens his briefcase, asking, "Who's this?" Indicating Darin.

"Darin Palmer, I am an assistant District Attorney here" he answers.

Scott chuckles, "Good luck there Palmer. I've held the office of District Attorney for this fine city and it's, well, full of interesting people." He looks at Alexis, "Shall we begin counselors?"

"Of course." Alexis' eyes are filled with compassion as she glances at Bobbie, who remains silent. Alexis puts on her glasses and opens the file before her. "Mrs. Drake, Mr. Baldwin, drunk driving is a very serious felony. A young man, Brandon Wexler lost his life. We also have a confession that Mrs. Drake made after she turned herself in. I also have to take into consideration that Mrs. Drake fled town when she knew we were investigating her."

Scott folds his arms over his lap and leans back in his chair. "Bobbie…..Mrs. Drake turned herself in to the police when she learned that she was a fugitive. She is a member in good standing in this community and has saved countless lives at General Hospital in her years there as a nurse. Clearly you need to take that into consideration Ms. Davis."

Alexis looks at him over her glasses, "I am."

Darin intercedes, "Wasn't Mrs. Drake also a prostitute for a number of years? In fact, isn't her daughter Caroline born from one of her johns?"

Bobbie grips the sides of her chair and half rises from Darin's quick verbal attack. Scott slams his fist down on the table, "Who the hell is this jackass? If you want to bring Carly into this conversation, who is it in this room that locked her in a goddamned panic room! Get this buffoon out of here or I'll toss him out on his keister!" Scott yells, the vein in his neck looking like it would explode.

The tension in the air was thick when Alexis quietly demands that Darin leave. He nervously slides out of his chair and leaves, slamming the door shut. Ric stands up and gets Bobbie a Kleenex while Alexis apologizes for Darin. Bobbie dabs at her eyes and Alexis asks if it is ok to continue. Scott leans over and asks Bobbie if she is ok, that they can leave at any time. She says that she just wants to get this over with.
    <HR>
Sonny looks to his left and sees his the man who's been haunting his dreams….his alter…Clone Sonny. Clone Sonny tells him everyone around him will die and it'll be all his fault. Their blood will be forever stained in his hands….and there's nothing he can do about it. That phrase plays over and over in Sonny's head.

"I don't know what I would do if anything ever happened to you. You mean the world to me. You know that. If anything ever happened to you…." Sonny lets his voice trail off. He says his words very slowly, with much feeling. "I'd kill….whoever it was that hurt you….and then I'd kill myself for letting it happen."

Carly can see the pain on Sonny's face. The light that would appear in his eyes from time to time is now completely gone. Just like it was during his last breakdown. Carly fights back tears, trying to stop her lip from quivering. "Nothing is going to happen to me Sonny." She says forcing a smile. "I know you'll protect me. You always have…and you always will." Carly knows Michael's attack is the straw that broke the camel's back. Sonny's had a hell of a year…first losing his sister and almost his life. This brewing war, being attacked in the park with Mike, and now his son, attacked on his way home from school.

"I'll fix this. I promise. I'll end for good." Sonny whispers in her ear. Sonny gets up and walks upstairs.

Carly, shaken from her encounter with Sonny steps out into the foyer. She tells Max to keep an eye out on Sonny until she can get Jason over. Max says Jason won't come. He's called and he doesn't want anything to do with Sonny or the business. Carly wants to stay, but she can't just put her life on hold for Sonny again. She tells Max to call her if anything happens. She'll have the driver take her right over. Max says will do.

Scott shakes his head. "No jail. Probation and community service."

"No way" Ric says. "We have to have jail time."

"Ten months in jail, time served, 1 year mandatory alcohol rehabilitation, to be served during her time in jail. Afterwards, 2 months in-patient, 4 months out-patient. Loss of license for 6 years. Five years probation, 3000 hours community service and a $35,000 fine, to be used to establish a fund for victims of drunk driving." Scott shoots back.

"On top of that, I want bi-weekly AA meetings during out patient treatment, as well as a written report from her case worker to gauge her behavior. If she is scheduled to work at the hospital, then she is to check with the Chief of Staff to get into one during her lunch breaks." Alexis offers back. "Final offer and I would accept it if I were you."

Scott looks at Bobbie and nods. "I'll take it." She swallows and looks at both Alexis and Ric. "Thank you. You didn't have to do this…..but you did. Thank you."

Scott and Bobbie depart leaving Ric alone with Alexis. He takes her in his arms and gives her a hug. "You did the right thing Alexis."

"I guess I better get my resignation letter typed up soon because once the mayor hears of this, there is no doubt I will be out of a job." Alexis says into Ric's shoulder. She leans back and looks him straight in the eye. She leans up and kisses him softly. "Thank you for being you."

It's Thanksgiving Day in Port Charles, and all around the town, you'd expect families to get together and reflect on why they should be thankful. In any other town, that is exactly what would happen…but not in this one. Thanksgiving is the one on few days in Port Charles, where the citizens are willing to put aside their differences for the sake of being nice. It's been a very tough year in Port Charles, and all across town, you can feel things are off.
    <HR>
    <b>Quartermaine Mansion</b>

Alice opens the door to Ned & Brenda, who wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Throughout the Quartermaine's, there isn't too much happiness to spread around. With Alan in the hospital, and relationships with Monica strained, for the second year in a row there isn't much to be thankful for. AJ comes downstairs, hanging up his phone after speaking to Michael. AJ lets everyone know that he and Carly agreed that Michael will spend Thanksgiving with her and Nikolas, but will come to the Q's for Christmas. That seems to cheer Edward up, who's been in a very cantankerous mood all day.

Monica enters soon after to a bunch of dirty stares. Edward promptly asks Monica to leave his house. Monica corrects Edward, saying it's <b>her</b> house, and that she was invited to dinner. Edward looks around at the family and asks who invited Monica. Emily comes from the study and says she did. Emily says like it or not, Alan would want her here. Emily instructs Alice to take Monica's coat and show her into the study where she can wait until dinner is ready. Alice grudgingly does what Emily asks.

Edward shakes his head and glares at Emily. He gets up and calls for Cook, asking when dinner will be ready.

Edward flashes back to the previous year, when all hell broke loose at the mansion: Suddenly a loud, piercing scream comes from the kitchen. Glasses and plates are heard being broken followed by a loud gobbling sound. To the surprise of Edward and the rest of the people at the Quartermaine Mansion, Cook runs from the kitchen and is being chased by a wild Turkey!

Edward shakes his head in disgrace and walks to the door of the kitchen. He pulls on the door to open it, but it appears as if Cook has locked it yet again. "Cook, I'm sure you've taken steps to make sure we won't run into the same problem we had last year."

Cook appears insulted by Edward's statement. "Last year wasn't my fault. You wanted fresh turkey…so I got you one."

"It doesn't matter whose fault it was. I just want a nice dinner this year ok. So tell me…what is on the menu?"

Edward hears Cook throwing a pot at one of the other chefs in the kitchen, demanding to see the menu. Edward pushes his ear closer to the door. Cook clears her throat and begins reading the menu. "Tonight's beef choice is thinly sliced roast beef with cabbage, carrots, potatoes and rice. We imported the best escargot from France and of course, your favorite Mr. Quartermaine….three cheese macaroni and cheese. There's your standard corn, biscuits and etc, as well as honey roasted ham and tonight's main course….Turducken."

"What in the hell is 'turducken'?" asks Edward cautiously. "On second thought, I don't want to know. As long as we don't end up with a damn pizza this year." Edward shakes his head and walks away. The scene cuts to Skye and Jax speaking.

"You know you haven't been asking my calls Skye. I'm beginning to think you're avoiding me." Jax says smiling.

"Oh no. Not at all. It's just…I wasn't sure how our little…," Skye's voice gets low, "tryst would change our friendship. It wasn't so much me avoiding you, as me being afraid." Skye takes a sip of what's in her wine glass. Jax looks at Skye and she immediately puts his suspicions to rest. "It's sparkling wine Jax. Non-alcoholic. In addition, I've begun attending meetings again. No one needs to know about my little relapse…or our night together."

"Shame on you Skye for wanting to keep me as your dirty little secret." Jax takes a drink and rubs Skye's shoulders. He notices Brenda enter the room with Ned. He excuses himself from Skye and goes to speak.

"Of course you'd leave me to go to her….again." Skye rolls her eyes and sits down. Skye's self-jab at Jax is in reference to Jax leaving her for Brenda the last time she was in town after they were married. Skye turns her head to the left as the scene transitions to a vase of flowers in the bedroom of Luke & Tracy.

Luke sits on the edge of the bed next to Tracy. She asks him how his visit was with Laura. Luke says it's no different than any other time. They speak to her, she's unresponsive, but it's still nice to be in the same room with her and the children. Luke says it breaks his heart to see his children disappointed every time they go to see Laura. They hope that each time will 'be the time' she comes out of her state, but each time nothing happens. Tracy kisses Luke on the cheek and asks where Lulu is. Luke says she decided to spend Thanksgiving with Nikolas, Lucky & Carly this year. Tracy gives Luke an out, and tells him if he wants to go back to Shadybrooke to see Laura he can. Luke turns her down, instead choosing to spend the holidays with Tracy.

    <b>Scorpio House</b>

Mac opens the door to find Anna waiting with some food. The two civilly say hello before moving on from each other. Anna immediately runs over to Robin and gives her a kiss. Patrick hugs Anna and asks how she's doing. Anna says she's doing fine, but doesn't want to talk about her. She wants to spend time with her family on this wonderful day. Anna reaches into her pocket and pulls out a letter from her sister Alex and nephew Aiden. Anna says the letter arrived the other day, and she wanted to hand deliver it to Robin. Robin takes the letter and goes to read it in the other room.

When Robin leaves, Anna pulls Patrick to the side and asks if they've been receiving any strange phone calls lately. Patrick thinks, and then tells her they have. It started a few nights ago. The person calls, the sound is very broken up, and then the call ends. Anna says she has an idea of who it is. She tells Patrick to keep an eye out for Robert. Patrick looks a little worried and asks why he should keep an eye out. Anna shrugs innocently and says that it's almost time to get a visit from him soon. He hasn't been around since January….and he's known to make an entrance.

Upstairs, Maxie is getting an e-mail from her sister Georgie, who wishes she could be there with them right now, but is enjoying herself in Texas with their mother. Maxie rolls her eyes and e-mails her sister back. Serena asks why Maxie is so angry with Georgie and Felicia. Maxie says she's mainly angry at Georgie for leaving her to be with Felicia. Their mother has never given a damn about them before, and she isn't going to start now. The last time she was in town, she couldn't wait to leave. Georgie has this incessant need to be liked by everyone…including their mother. Maxie on the other hand could care less. Serena sees Maxie's bitterness and internally thanks that she has a better relationship with her mother than Maxie does with hers.

In the den, Lucy and David socialize with Scotty. Mac enters the room and asks if everyone is ok. Lucy gives Scotty a special look and tilts her head towards Mac. Scotty clears his throat and thanks Mac for inviting him over. Mac promptly tells Scotty he didn't, that Lucy made him and if it were up to him, he wouldn't let Scotty into the city….but today is Thanksgiving and he can nice to him…even if it kills him. Scotty forces a smile and sneers at Mac, before walking out the room to find Serena.

David's cell phone rings so he excuses himself from the group. When he steps into the other room, he answers and is surprised to hear from his daughter Babe, and grandson Little Adam. Babe tells her dad she misses him much, and can't wait to see him at Christmas. Babe lets Little A speak for a while, making David very happy. Babe gets back on and tells David she's heard the wonderful things he's been doing since moving to PC, and it makes her proud to be his daughter. David says he loves her and Little A and hangs up the phone.

David looks up to the sky, kisses two of his fingers and raises them high. Anna makes it known she's there and gives David a hug. David says he misses their daughter Leora (the daughter he and Anna lost in 2003) every day, and with each holiday that passes, it gets harder and harder. Anna wipes the tears from her face and agrees with him. She says they both have a lot to be thankful for, one of them being that Leora is in a better place. Anna pats him on the back and walks him back inside of the house.

    <b>Audrey Hardy's House</b>

Elizabeth is staring at the snow beginning to fall down on the ground. She feels strong arms lovingly grab her around the waist and pull her closely. She leans back for a kiss and turns around. She sees Lucky smiling and he pulls her in for another kiss. Suddenly a knock on the door happens. Elizabeth realizes she had been daydreaming. She puts down her cup of tea and answers the door.

Elizabeth opens the door to Blake, who she invited over for Thanksgiving dinner. Audrey comes from the kitchen and gives Elizabeth's friend a hug. Blake decided not to spend Thanksgiving with his family. There's just something about holidays that scream "stay away from the Barringtons" when it comes to family get togethers. Steven comes downstairs with Cameron over his shoulder and hands him to Elizabeth. Audrey says dinner should be completed shortly. Steven heads into the living room to answer the phone. Audrey smiles at Elizabeth and Blake talking and playing with Cameron. She hasn't seen her granddaughter very happy for a long time. Even if these smiles are far and between, she loves them every time she sees one.

    <b>Wyndemere Castle on Spoon Island</b>

Carly, Alexis and Lulu walk into the living room at Wyndemere with a snow covered Michael, Morgan, Kristina and Molly. The children love playing in the snow and as it is the first snow of the season, they couldn't wait to play. Across the room, Nikolas was talking to Lucky and Sam and broke away when Carly came in. Nikolas lovingly caressed Carly's protruding stomach. He proudly announces to his family that he can't wait for his babies to be born. Then he, Carly and the can be together as a family. Everyone smiles at his enthusiasm, except for Sam, who briefly scowls. She then smiles up at Lucky and mentions that she wants to see her sisters and Alexis.

Sam slowly walks over to Alexis and Ric and hugs Kristina and Molly. She wishes them a Happy Thanksgiving. Awkwardly they talk and Alexis tries to forge ahead with making conversation with her oldest daughter. Sam tries her best and lifts her champagne glass across the room to Lucky who is now talking with Lucas. Lucky asks Lucas if he is seeing anyone and Lucas says no. Carly did tell him that he could invite anyone so he asked Dante. However, Dante didn't feel comfortable coming to a close family gathering and decided to stay at his Frat House.

Alfred motions to Carly, quietly tells her that dinner is ready. Carly looks around the room and feels sad for a moment. A week earlier, she asked Jason if he wanted to join them for Thanksgiving dinner and he said no. He was going to get on his motorcycle and just drive. Carly shakes her head and smiles at Nikolas. She raises her voice and announces that dinner is served.

    <b>Quartermaine Mansion</b>

Back at the mansion, Luke socializes with Skye, Ned, Brenda & Jax in the living room. AJ and Emily discuss what the turducken will taste like, while Edward reminisces of his time with Lila. Tracy takes advantage of this time to sneak into the study to confront Monica. Emily notices Tracy slip away and decides to follow her.

Monica stands when Tracy enters the room. Monica says she doesn't want to fight with Tracy, but isn't above doing it on a holiday. Tracy tells Monica to shut up and listen. For far too long Monica has gotten away with hurting her brother and not paying for it. She's had enough of it. Thanksgiving is a time to be around people you love and care for, and Monica isn't one of those people. She kindly suggests that Monica get a call to perform a surgery and make her leave. Emily enters midway and tells Tracy to stop it. Tracy gives Monica a look, who thanks Emily for being nice because of the holiday and prepares to exit. Satisfied with herself, Tracy smirks and gets ready to leave. Emily pulls Tracy back and demands to know why Tracy had to do what she did.

"If you're going to be working with me at ELQ, becoming my protégé, then you need to toughen up girl. You need to learn how to stand firm on the decisions you make."

"This isn't about business Tracy. This is family! Father would have wanted her to be here. I was willing to put aside my differences with her for one night. One night!"

Tracy tilts her head to the side and walks to Emily. She lowers her voice beyond a whisper. "That will be your ultimate downfall. Putting aside differences is to give in. To cave. That is not something I am willing to do in business….or when it comes to family."

A part of Emily understands what Tracy is saying, but the other part of her wanted to do something nice on behalf of Alan. During their conversation, a loud crashing sound comes from the kitchen. Tracy rolls her eyes and says not again.

Tracy & Emily rush into the main area of the house and look around. "What is going on here?" Emily asks.

Cook runs out of the kitchen and hops on the table with all the food. "I have good news and bad news. The good news is the 'tur' part of tonight's dinner is done. The bad news….the 'ucken"….not so much."

The rest of the cooks throw down their aprons and hats, and walk out of the house. Skye asks why everyone is leaving. One of the chefs say Cook's obsession with 'fresh' food has gone too far. One of the female chefs come out of the kitchen carrying a duck! The duck manages to squirm free and starts snipping at Cook. Tracy sticks her head into the kitchen and screams.

"There….is a CHICKEN running around our kitchen!"

"Is someone going to explain to me what this….turducken is?" says Luke taking a drink.

    "I second that!" Edward yells.

"Turducken is turkey stuffed with duck stuffed with chicken. It's the new "in" thing," says Jax laughing at Cook.

Dillon enters the room with a bag of food. "Umm….why is there are there live animals in our house?" Dillon surveys the mess in the living room, looks at Ned and says never mind. "I thought something like this would happen. So I ordered Chinese."

"It smells delicious" AJ says. "What'd ya get?"

Dillon smiles and holds up the bags. "Roast duck with fried rice, general tso's chicken and chicken lo mein."

The animals look at Dillon and start chasing him. Dillon runs into the storage room and locks them in. "I guess they didn't like that their cousins were being served."

"Someone get Dominoes on the phone! I don't see why we just don't skip all the drama and order pizza anyway!" yells Tracy. "Start cleaning this up Alice. We're having food delivered."

Another knock on the door happens. Jason enters. He looks around and shakes his head. "I guess I came at the perfect time."

"Jason my boy! I'm so glad you made it." Edward says with a smile. "Sorry about the mess. But don't worry. It'll all be cleaned up soon. And then we're calling for Pizza. Are you going to stay?"

Jason takes off his leather jacket and tosses it on the rack. "I think I will. Alan would want me here. Oh, before I forget." He steps back out…is gone for a few minutes…then returns with pizzas. "I thought these might come in handy."

Dillon & Ned rush over and grab the boxes. Edward tells them to take them out to the patio and turn the heaters on. Alice directs everyone to the patio.

Jason pulls Edward back from walking outside. "I just wanted to say….Happy Thanksgiving Edward." Jason pats Edward on the back and then walks with Emily. Edward smiles, then walks over to the mantle. He picks up a picture of the family from the mid 90's. He wipes it off and places it next to a picture of Lila. Tracy appears by the door, and asks Edward if he's coming out. He says yes. Tracy reaches out her hand to her father. Edward and Tracy walk out hand in hand.

Meanwhile at Wyndemere, Sam makes her way through the tunnels of the castle , taking a new route to a secret area. She enters the room where Helena is expecting her.

"This had better be good Samantha. I don't appreciate being summoned."

Sam crosses her arms and rolls her eyes. "It's not like you’re my favorite person either Helena, but I thought you might want to know this information I stumbled upon. It's quite big….involving Nikolas."

Helena's curiosity has piqued now. The manipulative grandmother's wheels begins to spin in her mind, thinking of all the things this could be about. "Get to it," she snaps. "What is this 'big' news you have for me?" Helena reaches her hand and grabs Sam's necklace.

"Nikolas plans on asking Carly to marry him….I don't know when, but I overheard him talking to Spencer about it."

Helena releases her grip on the necklace and turns her back to Sam. A scowl forms on her face. Sam can see Helena is none too pleased with this news. "Now that you know, what are you going to do about it?" Sam asks.

"Don't worry yourself with what I intend to do Samantha. Return to where you were. You will act as if you know nothing, do you understand?" Sam nods her head and exits the room. Helena seems pleased with Sam's new programming. She knew over time Sam would begin to regain control, but the crystal around her neck acts as block and enhancer of Sam's original programming.

"My dear Nikolas….yet again rushing into a marriage proposal with someone beneath you. When will you learn to pick your mates more carefully?" Helena buttons up her overcoat, heading out through one of the private tunnels. "I will not let Caroline Corinthos bear the Cassadine last name…..and neither will her children…."

Helena closes the door as the scene cuts to General Hospital.

Monica sits in a chair next to Alan's bed. She has decorated his room with pictures of their family, as well as pictures of them together. She gently strokes his face with her hand. Emily is on her way to visit Alan when she notices Monica in the room talking to Alan. She pulls the door open just a little and listens in.

"What a year it's been my love. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving day. Last year we didn't have much to be thankful for. Emily had started a new life elsewhere. Jason was spiraling out of control and we had yet another year to mourn for AJ. But things are different now. AJ is home and well, Jason is working on his relationships with the family…and Emily….our Emily has returned, albeit not under the best circumstances but she's home."

Monica lays her head upon Alan's chest, listening to the beat of his heart. "I have so many mistakes. So many selfish, bad choices that have affected everyone in our family. I don't understand why this had to happen to you Alan. I never meant to break your heart…and I've done that, in more ways than one. You deserve so much more than what I've given you. But I promise…I promise when you get better, I will make things right between us." The tears begin flowing steadily down her face. She wipes them and wraps her hands around Alan's as she begins to pray. "Oh god…please…please let Alan return to his family. He means so much so many different people. Please don't take him away from us. I know I don't have much stock left with you, but if I do, please let it count for something."

Monica kisses Alan's forehead, tucks him in tightly and heads to the door. She's surprised to see Emily there. Monica begins rambling while trying to keep her emotions under control. Emily cries uncontrollably and opens her arms to her mother. Monica breaks down in Emily's arms and apologizes for everything she's done. Emily strokes her mother's hair and lays her head upon hers as GH ends.

The scene transitions to the PCPD, where Maxie is having an argument with Mac about her moving out of the house. Maxie doesn't understand why Mac is being such a hard ass about her moving back on campus. Mac tries to explain that he misses Maxie. With Georgie now in Texas with Felicia, and Robin living with Patrick, the Scorpio house is empty. In a rare moment, Maxie shows her sensitive side and hugs Mac, who's surprised at Maxie's sudden burst of emotion. Of course there's more to her hug than she lets on. As the guilt of her role in Brandon's accident continues to be kept secret, the harder she finds it to live with herself. Maxie promises Mac she'll visit the house more on the weekends, and may even bring by Serena when she comes. Mac says he'd like that…as long as Scott Baldwin didn't pop up too. The two laugh as Brenda makes her way up to them.

"Oh good, you're here Maxie so I only have to make one trip," Brenda says after hugging Mac. "Since we all know about Robin being pregnant…..I thought it would be nice if we threw her a little surprise party after Thanksgiving."

Maxie's eyes light up. "I think that's a great idea Brenda! We should so do that. And have it at the house too."

"I'm not sure about that Maxie," says Mac.

"Oh come on. You were just complaining about how empty the house is. This is a good excuse for all of us to get together. We can invite our close friends."

Brenda and Maxie double team Mac and finally convince him to say yes. Maxie thinks it'll be nice to be around the family before she hits school full time again. Mac asks who would come to this party, Brenda suggests Anna, Patrick, maybe some of Robin's friends from the hospital. Nothing too big. Mac's face cringes when Anna's name is mentioned. The two of them haven't been getting along very well, and it might not be a good idea for them to be in the same room together. Maxie asks if anything is wrong with that list, interrupting Mac from this thoughts. He says everything is fine, and looks forward to getting together.

"This is going to be a wonderful night Spencer. Soon, we're all going to be one big family. If all goes well, you'll have two wonderful big brothers who love you very much. On top of that, you're going to be a big brother to the new babies. Yes you are." Nikolas kisses his son's forehead and then puts him over his shoulder, rubbing his back. "I'm going to give you the family I never had growing up Spencer."

A wave of sadness comes across Nikolas. "You're mother loved you very much. Just like my mother loves me. While Carly will never replace Courtney, you will grow up having the love of a woman who will love you as if you are her own. And I the same with her children. Secrets & Lies: Episode 31
    Saturday November 25, 2006

    Opening Video

    Act I

Thanksgiving with the Quartermaines….what should be a great celebration for what the citizens of Port Charles are thankful for ends up a disaster. It wouldn’t be a holiday at the Quartermaines’ without some drama right?

The evening starts off pretty tame you can say. There’s a bad storm outside, but no one is letting that get them down.

Monica received a card in the mail from Emily wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and is sad that she wasn’t able to be home for holiday. Emily’s absence hits Monica quite hard. Alan notices how much his wife misses their daughter and goes over to hug her. Kevin witnesses this and forces a smile. Monica then tells Alan she’s fine and walks away.

Lucky talks with Lulu, Lucas and Dillon about his return to work. Lulu changes the subject and wonders if Lucky has begun to make inroads with Elizabeth yet, but Lucky says it’s not up to him to do so. Elizabeth knew she was wrong and he has a right to be upset.

“I that she made a mistake. But I mean, we’re only human. We all make mistakes Lucky. At least she didn’t sleep with him,” says Dillon.

“I’ll tell you what, the first time you see your wife mounting someone who isn’t you, tell me how you feel.”

    Act II

Bobbie comes up while they’re talking and puts her arm around Lucky. She informs all of her family that tonight is about being thankful for what we have. Not to discuss the problems we’ve all been having. Bobbie gives a long look at Lucas who realizes that his mother is trying very hard to be nice to him today. Lucas just rolls his eyes and goes over to Carly who’s talking with Monica and Edward about Michael. Carly excuses herself to speak with Lucas.

“What in the hell your problem?”

“It’s Mom. She’s trying to hard to be nice to me.”

    “And your problem is?”

“She shouldn’t have to try. It should be easy for her.”

“Honestly Lucas, I think you’re being too hard on her. Bobbie has a lot of things to deal with, and I think you should be grateful that she’s doing her best not to argue with you about your sexuality. All I can say is for you to----”

Carly stops talking when Jason enters the Quartermaine Mansion with Elizabeth at his side. Lucky can’t believe that Jason actually showed up to Thanksgiving Dinner, especially with his wife. Alan and Monica go greet the two of them at the door, trying to make Jason as comfortable as possible.

Lulu walks up to the two of them and makes a snide comment towards Liz. Luke pulls his daughter away and tells her to go make nice with Bobbie. Luke’s attention is diverted to his wife who calls him into one of the offices. With a huge smile on her face, Tracy informs Luke that she overheard Lorenzo and Skye talking about their engagement. Tracy realizes this will definitely set Edward off and cause Skye to fall out of favor with the Quartermaines. Tracy doesn’t understand why Luke isn’t so surprised with this news. Against his better judgment, he reveals to Tracy that he’s known for a while now that they’re engaged. Tracy can’t believe that Luke would keep this secret from her. He apologizes and promises that the secrets are all out between them. Tracy vows that by the end of the night, the Quartermaine’s will know Skye’s little secret.

    Act III

In the den, Alan, Noah & Kevin discuss some hospital business. Alan mentions that his search for a Chief Resident is going pretty well. Noah asks if the hospital has found someone to lead their cardiology department, to which Alan replies there is someone interested in the job. They’re scheduled for an interview on Thursday. Justus enters soon after and tells Alan that he’s moving to Boston to join the law firm of Poole, Crane and Schmidt. When asked if he’ll continue to do ELQ business, Justus re-assures Alan that he’ll stay on as council for ELQ, but thinks that moving to Boston would definitely further his career.

Jason is surprised that Carly is acting civil towards Elizabeth. Carly says that all she wants is Jason to be happy, but thinks that going after Liz is a bad idea. Lucky comes up soon after and demands to know why Jason and Liz showed up. Jason snarks that he’s a Quartermaine, the real question is why Lucky showed up. Lucky gets ready to snap at Jason when Nikolas arrives with baby Spencer…..and Courtney!

While Alexis and Lulu help Nikolas get the baby situated, Courtney walks over to Carly and Sonny. Sonny looks happy see his sister and gives her a hug. Courtney tells them how her foundation is going really well in California and she’s looking forward to returning to Port Charles permanently. Carly doesn’t seem too thrilled with the prospect of that happening, especially since if Courtney returns, Nikolas’ old feelings may resurface.

Upstairs, Skye kisses Lorenzo romantically. Lorenzo feels that Edward is staring a hole through him. Skye tries to take his mind off of her grandfather, but Lorenzo is adamant on having a good relationship with his future grandfather-in-law. Skye decides to go check on things in the kitchen so Lorenzo can talk to Edward.

Lorenzo kindly wishes Edward a happy Thanksgiving Day. Instead of accepting his warm wishes, Edward tells him it would be an even happier Thanksgiving if Lorenzo wasn’t around. Lorenzo smiles, and then grabs Edward.

“I don’t know what your problem is old man, but you need to learn some respect. I will not be spoken down to anymore. You had better get used to me being around. Because I’m not going anywhere.”

Lorenzo then fixes Edward’s tie, and turns to walks away. Edward grabs Lorenzo’s arm and proceeds to give him a warning.

“Now you listen to me you degenerate scoundrel. I may be old, but I am not above kicking your ass if need be. It is you who should learn some respect. This is my house and I will not be spoken to in such a manner. I always get what I want in the end. And what I want, is you out of my granddaughter’s life. You don’t want me for an enemy Mr. Alcazar.”

Alice walks up and stands next to Edward.

“Is everything alright here Mr. Q?”

“Oh everything is fine Alice. Mr. Alcazar and I were just discussing how important it is to respect one another. Isn’t that right?”

    “Correct.”

    Act IV

Suddenly a loud, piercing scream comes from the kitchen. Glasses and plates are heard being broken followed by a loud gobbling sound. To the surprise of Edward and the rest of the people at the Quartermaine Mansion, Cook runs from the kitchen and is being chased by a wild Turkey!

“What in the hell is going on here,” yells Edward.

“When you said you wanted a fresh turkey this year Mr. Q, I thought you couldn’t get any fresher than a real turkey. So I arranged for this turkey to be delivered. But I thought we had already uh…prepared it for cooking.”

While the Quartermaines and the staff chase the wild turkey throughout the house, Lucky watches as Jason whispers something into Elizabeth’s ear. She laughs and touches his shoulder. Lucky heads towards Liz and Jason. Nikolas sees what’s coming but is unable to get to him because of the baby. Lucky taps Jason on his shoulder and punches him right in the mouth!

Nikolas runs over to try and stop it but gets punched by Lucky too. Jason, tired of being nice to Lucky elbows him in the jaw, then punches him in the stomach. Carly runs over to pull them apart. While Monica tends to Lucky, Carly tends to Jason. Elizabeth tries to see if Jason is ok, but Carly slaps her for being the center of tension between Lucky and Jason. Liz then pushes Carly, causing her to fall on the table with cakes and pies.

“You bitch,” says Carly. “You're gonna pay.”

“Aww, what’s wrong Carly? I thought you liked being on your back.”

Carly goes to charge Elizabeth but Sonny sends Max over to pick Carly up. He thanks the nearest Quartermaine near him (Monica) and promises to replace the table that Carly broke. Sonny gathers the rest of the kids and is ready to go. Bobbie and Noah leave with them.

Smoke begins to bellow from the kitchen. Cook accidentally turned up the oven, and burned the macaroni & cheese, stuffing and ham. Monica throws a hissy fit, angry that yet again, their Thanksgiving Dinner has been ruined. Alan tries to calm her down but instead, it makes her even more upset. A drunken Kevin calls Monica, Lucy, and laughs at her being angry. Monica throws the burnt ham towards Alan and Kevin and storms away.

Tracy just laughs at all of the dysfunction, and tells Dillon to go order some Pizza from Pizza Hut. Luke wonders why Tracy is laughing so hard. She remarks that she hasn’t had this much fun since she hired burglars to steal the turkey back in 97.

Downstairs, Lorenzo says goodbye to Skye. He agrees to take Lainey home since it’s on his way. Kevin asks if he can ride with them as well since he’s been drinking. Meanwhile, Jason offers Elizabeth a ride home, but she says she’ll ride with Lucky. Lucky tells her to find her own way home and leaves without her. Lucas tells Liz he can ride home with her if Dillon will take them home.

    Act V

After all the dust has settled and the smoke has cleared, the entire Quartermaine Family lies lazily in the living room. With no more guests to entertain, they all just sulk in the living room. Tracy and Luke stroll in with smiles in their faces, trying to get the family excited.

“Oh come on. Isn’t this how our Thanksgiving’s normally end? With us eating pizza? You’d think that next year we’d just skip all the nonsense and order,” says Tracy.

She tries to get the family to sing a round of “We Gather Together” but no one is interested. Alan says they have nothing to be thankful for today. Edward agrees and tells Tracy to sit down and shut up.

“On the contrary daddy. You know what Alan…..we all have something to be thankful for, and to celebrate too.”

“What are talking about now Tracy. Why don’t you just be quiet? It’s been a long day.”

“Well Skye, I’m glad you asked. It is my honor to announce to the family, that our very own Skye is getting married!!”

That surely wakes the rest of the Quartermaines up.

“No she isn’t Tracy. Skye wouldn’t keep something like that from us,” Monica says.

“I kid you not. I heard from the man she’s engaged to himself. The two of them are engaged to be married. Isn’t that right Skye?”

Tracy gives her niece a devilish smile, knowing that she definitely caught her by surprise with this announcement. Skye glares at Tracy and Luke, then turns to the rest of her family who have a disgusted look upon their faces.

“Yes. It’s true. Lorenzo and I are getting married.

Elsewhere, Lucky stomps through his house in a bad mood. Damn Jason for punching him. Damn Elizabeth for comforting Jason instead of him. And damn Carly for slapping Elizabeth. No one asked her to get involved. A flash of lighting followed by the roaring thunder outside makes him a little angrier. Lighting crackles, then the lights in his apartment flash on and off. He thinks lightning struck the building. Lucky begins to doze off, but is awoken by the sound of someone knocking on the door. Lucky tells them to go away, but the knocking persists. Lucky flings open the door and is shocked by what he sees. Standing there speechless, Lucky stares at someone who is supposed to be dead. Before his eyes, drenched in rain and tattered clothes is Sam!!! She calls out his name, and then passes out in his arms as GH comes to an end.

    <b>The next day…..</b>

Luke and Tracy were enjoying their drinks and waiting for Lucy and her lawyer to arrive when Lulu comes flying into the living room, a storm cloud exploding on her face. She plops herself down across from her father and says, "Guess who I met the other night?"

"Glad to see you decided to come home…..what did we do to deserve this 'wonderful' visit?" says Tracy.

"Hush wife." An amused Luke smiles at Lulu before remarking, "Who precious?"

"Serena…….Baldwin." Lulu spits out slowly and distastefully. She rolls her eyes and makes sure she emphasizes certain words. "She is <b>such</b> a bitch."

Tracy smirks. "Well if she is anything like her father I trust your judgment. What did she do to you?"

"And when did you meet her?" Luke asks.

    "At some college party."

"Her sister Karen was very nice. I liked her very much." Luke remarks, taking a sip from his drink, obviously not caring about Lulu's immature feud with the female Baldwin.

Lulu, agitated, jumps up and starts to pace. "Well this Karen may be nice but her sister isn't. Serena is just so annoying and thinks she is all so wonderful. I just want to slap her perfect little smile off her face." Lulu clenches her fists. "Dad I don't know see how you can be friends with a woman like Lucy, who produced such a horrible spawn."

Lucy stops short at the door into the Quartermaine living room. Her hands cover her mouth as she gasps, "What did you say?"

Luke stands up. "Lucy, Lulu didn't mean it. She was, you know, just getting some aggression out. You know how the younger generation is."

Lulu turns around and faces Lucy. "No…no….I meant what I said Lucy. I don't like Serena."

"Leslie Lu…you barely even know Serena. I'm quite sure once you get to know her, your opinion will change."

"The fact that she's friends with Maxie Jones says enough about her character for me." Lulu says tossing back her hair. "Anyone who's friends with Maxie obviously doesn't have good taste."

Serena pushes past Lucy and comes face to face to Lulu. She was just as furious as Lulu. However, she stares straight into Lulu's eyes and smiles sweetly, oh so channeling Maxie, "I really wish you wouldn't be jealous that Hunter prefers me over you. He is my boyfriend so you really might want to get over this."

Luke, having a lot more important issues on his mind, raises his voice, "Lucy! Is your lawyer friend here? Because I would like to them and get started." Luke raises his head into the air, looks around and gets a disgusted look on his face. "What is that awful smell?" Luke asks.

Scott Baldwin fills up the doorway. "At your service, Spencer."

Luke's face turns beet red. "OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" bellows Luke, pointing at the door. "There's no way in hell you're here to help. This scumbag almost got me convicted for that Cassadine murder!" Luke looks over at Lucy, "Do you really think I would let a snake like Baldwin defend my sister in this case? I wouldn't let him defend her in a case about parking tickets!"

"Told ya that Spencer would turn me down, Lucy. I'm not wasting anymore of my time here Lucy. Serena, want to get out of here?" Scott drawls.

"Anything to get away from here, Dad." huffs Serena.

"No, no, no, no." Lucy throws up her hands. "Think about Bobbie! Luke, you can't even get a lawyer and I did everything I could to convince Scott to help out here. He knows Alexis and Ric, he can make a deal or something."

"Another one of your psychic predictions Lucy?" Tracy demands. She has a slight smile on her face as she looks at Scott. "ALICE!!!!!!!!!!!"

Alice comes from the other room. "You rang Ms. Tracy?"

"Yes Alice I did." Tracy pushes Alice towards Scott. "Please show our….guests out."

    "It'll be my pleasure."

"Hey hey! Get your stinkin hands off me. I'm only here because Lucy asked me to," snipes Scotty.

"Since when are you a defense lawyer anyway? Haven't you been a Prosecutor for a while now?" Luke remarks.

"You know I have always done both sides of criminal law, as well as been a Special Prosecutor. I can help Bobbie if you let me!" Scott fires to Luke.

Luke looks at Scott scornfully, "Why would I let you? Knowing you, you would throw this case. If anything, you would see that she gets the chair just to piss me off! Now why the hell should I trust you with Barbara Jean's life?"

Scott walks up to Luke and narrows his eyes. "There was a time where Bobbie was the love of my life. I would do anything for her. I still would." Scott waves his arms around, "Can't you see that Spencer? This is about Bobbie, not Laura! Put your damn hatred for me aside so I can help out Barbara Jean. Once I'm done with that, then we can finish this, but until then, do what's right."

Luke walks over to the sideboard and pours himself a drink. For several moments no one says a word. Luke downs his drink and looks at Tracy. She nods her head imperceptibly. Luke waves his hand. "Fine. Go see Bobbie. But if you screw up, I'll kill you."

After Alice shows the Baldwins and Lucy out, the scene cuts back to Luke in the living room. Lulu asks if he's ok, and he says yes. Tracy comes in and says she'll try to get Justus again, maybe he can get some time away to come represent Bobbie. Luke tells her not to bother. He hates to admit it, but Scotty has a point. He's gotta put aside his dislike for Scotty for now….all that matters is getting Barbara Jean a reduced sentence.
