Luke and Noah walk hand in hand through Oakdale when suddenly, Noah pulls away. He reasons that if Sherry saw them together, it would blow everything. Carrie walks by and Luke stops her, inviting his boyfriend's "classmate" to the grand opening of the cancer ward as his date. Carrie smiles and says that she'd love to go. After she leaves, Noah becomes agitated that Luke invited Carrie to be his date. Luke reasons that if Noah's going with Sherry, he should go with a female to avoid raising any suspicion from Sherry. Later, Emma scolds Jack for staying home and not attending the grand opening of the cancer ward. She volunteers to watch the kids and Jack gladly accepts her offer. Luke comes in and tells Emma that he needs her to iron his tux for the night, as he found a date with Noah's classmate named Carrie. Jack whirls around, shocked that Luke knows Carrie. As Jack drills Luke for information about Carrie, Luke's own doubts resurface as he tells his uncle that he never found out anything about Carrie or her past. Noah rushes in to tell Luke they're going to be late, inadvertently running into the middle of one of Jack's questions about Carrie. Feeling the tension rising, his heart racing, and his feet sinking, Noah rushes Luke out the door before Jack can ask anything else that might strengthen Luke's already heightened curiousity.

Carrie comes in and tells Carly that she won't be able to watch the kids tonight because she agreed to go to the opening with a friend. Carly applauds her for getting herself out there and asks who the friend is. Carrie giggles, asserting that they're just friends and nothing else. Carly almost faints when she hears the name "Luke Snyder" come from Carrie's mouth. Avoiding her questions, Carrie rushes up the stairs past Carly's questioning eyes. Jack comes in and announces that Emma has agreed to keep the kids. Carly thanks Jack for finding the kids a place to stay, mentioning that she thought she was in deep manure when Carrie just cancelled for her date with Luke. Jack's baffled, and Carly tells Jack that she doesn't know anything more than he does. But what Carrie does is Carrie's business, Carly warns. Jack fiddles around, avoiding his reason for coming over. Carly, noticing his behavior, asks him what he came over for. Jack finally gathers up the courage to ask Carly to accompany him to the opening tonight, but his first word is silenced by a horn honking outside. Carly sticks her head through the door and motions to her mystery guest that she's coming and turns to gather her things. Jack, in a daze, asks Carly what's going on. Carly shrugs, forcing a slight smile across her face, and calmly replies that she's going to the opening with a newly-returned Wagner. She turns and closes the door, but not before reminding a doe-eyed Jack to lock the door on his way out.

Michael answers the door, a towel hanging just below his waist, when Susan appears. Susan chuckles at Michael's dress code as he hurries to put something on. Michael trips on part of the towel, untying the loose knot from around his waist, and showing Susan everything he has to offer. Quickly wrapping a sheet around his waist, he chuckles and apologizes for the peep show. Speechless, Susan hands Michael some forms to sign saying that Memorial's cancer ward is fully legal and meets requirements. Susan rushes out the door, thanking Michael for his time and promising to see Michael tonight at the grand opening. Smirking, Michael charms, "Hopefully not any more of me than what you just saw" before Susan closes the door. Later, Michael runs into Java for a quick cup of coffee, all the way reciting his speech for the opening ceremonies. Katie comes out and cheerfully chirps that she hopes Michael has his speech down pat. Michael nervously fidgets around, sending a signal to Katie that her uncle is beyond lost. Katie giggles and sits Michael down, offering to help him memorize his speech. Meanwhile, outside, Doris watches Katie laugh and place her hand on Michael's arm. Fuming, Doris marches off.

Lily emerges from the shower and starts blowdrying her hair. Holden glides up behind her and caresses her neck with kisses. His hand moves down below her belly button, exploring into other parts. As Lily lays her neck back, he gently kisses her neck and nibbles on her ear. Lily giggles, reminding Holden that if she wasn't ticklish right there and if she didn't have a million things to do right now, they would be continuing this in the bedroom. Holden keeps on, despite the loud howling of the blowdryer. He sets her down on the bathroom rug and smothers her in kisses. Lily unzips his pants and pulls them down, exposing his tight muscular butt. As he gently pushes himself into her, Lily moans and the camera pans up to reveal two smeared handprints going downward in the steam-stained bathroom mirror. Later, Holden and Lily emerge from the bathroom, joking and smiling. Luke walks in with his tux and Lily comments on how sharp he looks. He blushes, thanking his mom for the compliment. He asks what has his parents with such big grins and Lily replies that she and Holden just had some lovely one on one time. Luke scrunches his face in disgust and laughs. He comments how happy the family is now and says that it hasn't been this great in a long time. All three recall the trials of the past few years, excitedly welcoming the happy silence that has filled their dramatic lives.

Paul knocks on Rosanna's door, but the gardener tells him that Ms. Cabot just left. Not knowing where to look, Paul returns to his suite and is stunned to find Rosanna waiting for him in the hallway. Rosanna reasons that she left something over here the other day when she dropped him off after his flat tire. Paul tries to make small talk, but Rosanna's short orders cause him to finally call her out. Paul pleads that he was a fool to believe Meg was carrying his baby. He was a fool to not see her countless lies. And he was a fool to think that Rosanna would every intentionally hurt Meg or the baby she was carrying. Rosanna sighs in aggravation and huffs that Paul isn't going to persuade her decision. She's done with Paul. Paul leans against the door, his hand pressed against and blocking Rosanna's only menthod of exiting his suite. He reaches down and grabs Rosanna into a kiss. Rosanna's body stiffens, her arm pushing Paul away, resisting his advances. Eventually, though, Rosanna loosens her body and welcomes the kiss. Paul looks into her eyes, breathlessly whispering that she can't let this get away; she's a liar if she thinks this connection doesn't exist. Rosanna angrily barges past Paul, swinging the door open and huffing that she knew this was a mistake. Outside, Rosanna gets a call and confirms to someone that she's a chairman of the new cancer ward and will be attending tonight. As Paul runs into his room to get ready, Rosanna hangs up the phone and gently touches her lip, recalling the kiss that just happened. As she scolds herself for letting Paul get to her like that, she finally snaps out of it, removes her fingers from her moistened lips, re-gathers her bearings, and walks away, deadset on never communicating with Paul Ryan ever again.

Jack is not Luke's uncle. He's like his second cousin, correct? That confused me. But I'm assuming that it's just one of those instances where the parents are so close that Lily and Holden have raised their kids to look at Carly and Jack as aunt and uncle, and vice versa.

Ohh! Jack's just been ditched. Go Carly!!! :D

Recalling happy times and thinking that life is easy right now and will be in the future is never a good thing. Lily, Holden and Luke just got the kiss of death, I predict.

There will never be no Paul Ryan in Rosanna's life. Ever.

Great post Drew.

Thanks for pointing that out about Jack's relation to Luke as well. I'm not completely fluent in the ATWT history, so I just read it as him being his uncle. What you pointed out makes sense though.

I'm still not too comfortable with Noah and Kevin. When I first started reading this I was all for them, but lately Noah's actions don't sit well with me. Guess I'll just have to stick with it and see how it all plays out.

Keep up the good work, Dusty, :D
