Wendy Riche returning to daytime?
Posted 10 Jan 2010
http://daytimeconfid...-to-abc-daytime
little birdie just landed next to my laptop and whistled a nice, little song about famed General Hospital executive producer Wendy Riche being thisclose to inking a deal to return to ABC Daytime. Sorry GH fans, we're hearing it isn't the soap she successfully helmed from 1992-2001 that Riche will be assigned to. Instead she would fill the second-in-command producer slot at All My Children, recently vacated by Lisa de Cazotte, who decided not to stay with the sudser once it made the move to La La Land.
After leaving daytime, Riche (who also co-created the GH spinoff Port Charles) moved on to reality TV, serving as co-executive producer on the premiere season of MTV's monster hit reality soap Laguna Beach. In other AMC news, we hear former Days of Our Lives executive producer Shelley Curtis has once again been tapped to work on AMC as a director, Curtis last directed for the soap in 2007
From daytime confidential. This reunites Julie, Wendy and Shelley at AMC. What great news as I wish Wendy was going to be taking over AMC as executive producer. Wendy was HUGE for GH as she led the show during it's glory years. She's a fabulous addition to any show and she brought GH to it's glory years. Wendy is a very demanding, comanding and a visionary. The Labines said the only reason their GH was so successful because of Wendy and she was the one who hated Guza. YAY. -

Could you see OLTL on NBC with DAYS?
Posted 4 Dec 2009
I keep thinking I know this will not happen. If ABC ever cancels OLTL, it would be a great companion on NBC with DAYS. I think that would be a great combo that would work together. Could you ever see OLTL on NBC? -
Is Gary Tomlin responsible for the DAYS surge?
Posted 29 Oct 2009
I have to say I loved what Ed Scott did at DAYS but he was never allowed a vision because it conflicted with Dena/Ken. Gary Tomlin came in last year from OLTL and managed to take DAYS produce it on a 40% less production scale, tightened the writing with Chris Whitesell as co-head writer and ratings are surging bigtime. Even sans a Drake/Deidre, is Gary responsible for the surge at DAYS? What is he doing right at DAYS to execute the show? -
What if Ellen Wheeler replaced Brian Frons as ABC daytime prexy?
Posted 27 Sep 2009
Alright over here Ellen Wheeler is always a punching bag. How funny would it be if she got the biggest position of power and that was president of ABC daytime replacing Brian Frons. EW has a history with AMC as she played Cindy Chandler on the soap years ago. What would Ellen do in this position of power and she would be the boss to Julie Carruthers, Frank Valentini and Jill Farren Phelps? LMAO. Ellen at ABC daytime has a fun ring to it and especially in the president position. She has been an actress, director, producer, executive producer and now she is primed for a huge promotion LMAO.
