In my sociology class, we studied a study (hehe) about suicide in soaps. When a soap covered a suicide or a suicide attempt, the suicide rates in America went up the next year. It's interesting.

Lena on AMC (Bianca's short lived, but much loved G/F) had attempted it with rat poison. It was an unusual story, didn't really fit the plot at the time, and I think the show knew that they made a mistake, because it was never mentioned again. It was a strange story line for Lena.

TOTALLY out of character for Lena. Didn't one of the Webber men try to commit suicide once on GH?

I don´t think any major B&B character has committed suicide, but I remember that the uncle (Charlie) of Jake McClain committed suicide. He was the one who raped Jake when Jake was a child. He shot himself in his garage back in 1992.

In 1995 B&B's Sheila drank a vial of deadly poison and appeared to die in front of the Forrester family. Her stomach was pumped later and she survived.

Alex North just committed suicide on Days. He let go of the cliff he was holding on and said something like see you in hell.

I just remembered everyone in Salem thinks Kristen Blake killed herself.
