With the emphasis lately on the Logan family he would be perfect to come on as Brooke's brother, Storm.

Other roles that I think he would be good for:

Josh Snyder or Caleb Snyder on ATWT. If it is Josh/Rod, then maybe we could finally explore why he and Meg broke up.

Matthew is a little bit younger than the actor who last played Josh/Rod, but only a few years. He is the right age for Caleb. I do think Josh/Rod would have more story for him. I just think he would be great as one of the Snyders and would be great on ATWT.

On AMC he could always be Jake Martin since they aged him so much when J. Eddie Peck took on the role. Or he could come back as Greg Nelson. I doubt that the show will ever revisit that history though.

On GL as already mentioned he could be Philip Spaulding, but I doubt GL would have the money to pay him.

I think Matt Ashford is too old to play Jake on All My Children. J. Eddie Peck LOOKED a lot younger and that's why it worked. Jake is Tad's YOUNGER brother so he really should be played by a 3O something actor.

See I disagree. I always thought J. Eddie Peck looked older than Tad. In fact he was older than Michael E. Knight in real life by quite a few months. With the way the show changes ages all the time, Matthew Ashford as Jake would work. None of the ages on this show matter anymore. And Ashford is at least younger than Knight.

I would much prefer Ashford on ATWT though. I think it will be soon that ATWT will be the only show I am watching.

I wouldlike to see him back as Tom Hardy on GH. Bring back Kristina Wagner and have a Tom/Felicia romance!!!!

Or he could go to Y&R and be a specialist who helps Victor or play into Brad's storyline

I liked him when he was on OLTL. I think he's kind of cute. It would be cool if he came on ATWT because that's the only soap that I watch full-time. He does look like he'd be a Snyder, maybe Caleb or Seth? Or maybe Josh, Meg's ex-husband. That'd be nice. We never got an explanation for their divorce.

I don't know how old Josh was when he raped Iva. I know that she was only 13 when she gave birth to Rose and Lily. If Lily is 35, then it is possible for MA to play Josh. He's in his mid-40s, but he could play someone in his early-50s. Right?? The last man who played Josh, William Fichtner, is onlt 4 years older than MA, so it could totally work.

I think Josh coming back would be really dramatic. After all, he is Meg ex-husband, and he's Lily's biological dad. We could get a lot of scenes w/ that. Besides, ATWT needs more middle-age men on the show.

If GL knows what's good for them they better pay the money to get Matt Ashford to take on the role Phillip Spaulding. They need to move Phillip's story along and put him back where he belongs. Since Grant Alexander won't return it's time to move on and recast with Matt Ashford. If they can afford to want GA to come back they can afford MA. Plus I think that he would be great with everyone on the cast already. Besides he's already been on DOOL, GH, OLTL, & SFT. Y&R has a full plate and GL needs the right buzz going right now......Matt Ashford joining GL would do it. He would make a perfect fit for GL right now.

I wouldn't mind bringing him back to OLTL temp for an exit storyline for John McBain, if he leaves.

Matt could be on The Young and the Restless. He could play Brian Hamilton, Daniel's real father. Then he could have plenty of great scenes together with Michelle Strafford.

I always thought he'd be a great choice for the role of "Caleb Snyder" on ATWT. They could explain Julie had died, Aaron/Alison were doing something else, and Caleb just wanted to move home. Maybe it would give Kathleen Widdoes more airtime.

I can't see Matt as "Josh" though. He may be around the same age as the previous actor, but he and Martha look too close in age.
