Well today's won't do it (6-26). It was childish in my view and I totally did not like anything about it except Steve and Kayla and think Steve made up his lines ;) . A far fall from Friday's show and this is Monday where the larger audience usually tunes in. Ho hummmm. Gotta get better than this.

I sure hope Hogan has been studying the fan base and reading it correctly. Jack and Jen have not been picking up fans but losing them. Maybe it was due to the writing but it happened.

Excuse me? Last week's ratings were an improvement on the week before. All other soaps lost viewers. And if you want to blame a particular couple for the ratings in recent weeks, there has been more focus on B&H than J&J lately. 2 of the last 3 weeks have ended with cliffhangers related to Bope.

Hey all,

Hogan Sheffer, just as I thought, went into Godzilla mode this morning

and [s.W.S.N.B.N.] has now NOT BEEN FIRED by the scared-D-cats at NBC.

Ken Corday is extremely happy! It was NBC sweating buckets, not "DAYS".

The owner of another web site posted his conversation with [s.W.S.N.B.N.] this

morning:

I spoke to [s.W.S.N.B.N.] this morning, June 27th, and she said that the Executive Producer of "DAYS", Stephen Wyman, told her that she is not fired, will not be fired, and in fact, gave her more writing assignments. [!@#$%^&*]'s name joins the credits on August 8th and she will be a part of shaping Hogan Sheffer's new story ideas.

This is strictly GOSSIP,

but I'm hearing from two different NBC secretary friends that Hogan

told the suits if [!@#$%^&*] is fired, then he's not coming aboard.

Apparently he only has a "verbal agreement". He can bail anytime

before he signs in August.

[!@#$%^&*] is his new "Carolyn Culliton" I'm hearing.

    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.
    • RIP Wayne Lewis.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
