The only thing I am enjoing about GH is scrubs. I love them, but of course, Carly has enter the picture, so that SUCKS!!

And there is so much character destruction go on, that I can't even being. Like Ric, WTF is he doing. I use to love him to death, but now I hate, him. I am rooting for Max!!

I hate what they did to Justus. The only good thing that came outof it was John Ingle got some rockin scenes.

Sonny is acting like an ass. I hate him with Emily and would actually like to see a triange between him, Carly and Jax. Of course, it won't happen.

I like Ric when he is evil just because Rick Hearst can pull it off. No one else can.

Anytime Luke, Robert, Tracy, Edward and SCRUBS are on my screen are about the only times I like the show right now.

Isn't SCRUBS on NBC Thursdays @ 9et/8c? Isn't SCRUBS on CTV Sunday afternoons @ 5et/4c? No wonder media executives think daytime drama viewers are DUMB! More UnAbortions, please! More Ice Storm: Nothing Could Prepare Them in September, please! More born in the mid 90s & age to an adult 10 yrs later, please! More coming back from the dead multiple times, please!

GH has greatly improved in quality & ratings since Aug. 06, and each month since then has been better than the previous one. The show began 07 on a high note, it's best month since mid 06. In Jan. 07, GH was the best daytime drama on American TV, it had the best ensemble, the best story development, the best scripts, the top 2 scriptwriters (MV Jean/MS Price), the best directing, the top 2 directors (O. Renfore/W. Ludel) & to top it all off, 2 of the the top 5 best actresses (L. Wright/NL Grahn). How's that for accolades, GH haters? :lol:My only question is: Why aren't more Americans watching GH?

Some say that I'm a "cancellation-lover", but if you don't watch GH, then ABC Daytime (ABC-D) declines further b/c TPTB, rightly or wrongly, have always viewed GH as their prized possession & they always will. So, if GH goes, so does The View, the unbearable AMC & the improved OLTL. Do u want ABC-D to go the way of the dodo bird & NBC-D? DOOL & PSN have been cancelled, you know.

I'm sorry but I must respectfully disagree with your post. Has GH improved yes but by no means was it the best soap in Jan (in my opinion that belongs to guiding light). Are they going to have a great sweeps yes of course they always pull out the big guns(no pun intended) for sweeps but only time will tell what they will do after that because the pattern seems to be great sweeps followed by snoozefest.

GH may have the most talented cast in all of daytime, or the most talented directors, makeup, wardrobe, crew, but it all means squat if the show doesn't have talented WRITERS. And right now, GH doesn't have that.

So yes, GH's ratings have gone up slightly over the past month, but it's not back to where it used to be a few years ago, before Frons and Guza took over the helm.

So the question is why aren't viewers tuning back in to GH, when reviews are that the show has improved, because fans are tired of what GH is trying to sell them. That's why. Viewers tune in for a few days, see it's the SSDD, and tune right back out again. Plot point writing is NOT doing this show any favors and hasn't been for a long time. Fans are tired of the SSDD and until there are writer changes, viewers and fans alike are going to keep tuning out of GH.

ETA:

Perhaps they should add other characters and give them front burner stories, besides the same 4 or 5 people. Diversity is a good thing on a soap, it's a concept that GH hasn't taken notice to in a long time.
