brooke/nathan.... best twist in a long time!

this is gonna srsly shake things up.

we all know hayle is pissed nathan told her. but how pissed is she gonna be? and at brooke also? and i cant wait for it to come out brooke stole the test, not rachel... who shocked me by doing something nice and nonselfish for once.

and what about lucas n peyton? lucas i doubt will care to much... but imo, it seems peyton is kinda pissed about it. and lucas should be/will be worried if peyton is mad/jelous of brook/nathan, esp right after she and nathan got close again last week.

I really don't know what to say about Nathan/Brooke. I never really see much chemistry with Nathan/anyone. James just doesn't do anything for me. I will say that I miss Brucas. More so then any couple on the history of the show but I do like the romance with Brooke and the clean teen but we all know that won't last.

Peyton/Lucas couldn't be anymore boring if the writers even tried. It's time to shake things up with Peyton IMO. They need to either bring Derek back or they need to set up her and Nathan. Something has to happen on this show because the past few episodes have been majorly slow since the Lucas/Keith crossing over thing.

I really can't believe they actually sattled Haley with a baby. Racheal is one of the best characters they have. They can't lose her.

wow. the past two eppys have been amazing, IMO.

i loved them all being paired up with random people.

and is it just me or does OTH seem to be testing nathan/brooke & nathan/peyton now? i think so. i wouldnt be suprised if he and haylie broke up again. and i like Haylee being prego. also, Hayle/Skills anyone? i am so in!!

i also loved seeing Bevin in the second the last eppy. where she told rachel she want wait for HS to be over so she can be a new person and that she knows who u were in higschool doesnt matter in the real world.

Rachel is by far the most intersting complex char on OTH! they need to dive into her more. and OMG what she did for brooke was amazing!

imk also loving karen/dan... cuz u know the truth is about to come out now!

and i love lucas & peyton. yes they are kinda borring, but thats why i love them. they are not some grand overdramtic couple who breaks up every other week like lucas/brooke. and brooke is almost watchable with Stephen from Laguna Beach.

but back to nathan.... i so like him and peyton. and him and brooke.

oh and i cant wait for next week. brooke always cam,e down on peyton for KISSING lucas, even tho her and luke were in love... well turns out big old skank brooke f*cked nathan when he was with peyton. what are friends for?

OMG!! what a great eppy!!

i loved everything about it. the best was the rachel stuff, and i hope shes not really gone because she is by far the most complex char on the show and the actress is amazing (so much better than her OLTL days!!). and i loved the brooke/peyton stuff. brooke trying to make what she did okay was so typical, and i loved it when peyton kicked her ass then told her everything. that was so sad.

and dan & deb... ohh i love them! cant wait for the secret to come out!!

oh! and the ending!! WOW!! that was the ish!!

I've only seen some of the episodes from when OTH was on WB, but this is definitely the best of anything I've seen.

I'm sad Rachel's gone, I hope she'll make an ultra-over-the-top return. The Brooke-Peyton scenes were better than anything I could've asked for! AWESOME fights! AWESOME dialogue! Just awesome all-around. And then Brooke's reaction to Peyton writing "WHORE" on her dress was classic: "She cares, Mouth, she cares!" But that ending...OMG...unexpected to say the least. As she was coming down the stairs, Peyton was so hot and I was thinking what a happy ending was having to the extreme pre-prom drama, and then she opened the door and BAM! Wow. This show is amazing.

Brooke: Why do you even care anymore?

Peyton: Why do I care? Brooke this has been one of the worst years of my life... and I needed my best friend more than ever... and you cut me out because I was honest with you... and you were never ever honest with me.

Brooke: Peyton...

Peyton: You made fun of my mom's death Brooke... you knew her, you cried with me when she died... and now you use her as a punch line for some joke to hurt me... it hurt it did... but not anymore because you and me we're done... you're right she's dead... and as far as I'm concerned so are you.

------

amazing!!

    • Yes, Stacy does this both for early DAYS & early GH. I have written some for her, for DAYS. But just one tiny point & that is that she only deals with DVDs. I realize that is not the point of your posting but it seemed the right thing to clarify. I know that you know that video tapes is past, not present.
    • Hahahha I think sleeping with almost all of your daughters's boyfriends and husbands and getting pregnant... definitely gives Brooke the right to top 1 place. Long live the whore of Beverly hills.

    • CurlyQGrl has DVDs of some episodes, that they can sell, but that doesn't matter. What is helpful: they describe the scenes on the tapes, so you can read that as recaps without ordering anything. Doesn't really give storylines, though, which is what you asked for.  Here's the links anyhow. full menu https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/menu.html GH page https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html GH 1960s https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1960s.htm
    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
    • I'm excited for us to get back to a full weeks worth of episodes and also us beginning to move into the episodes filmed once the show premiered. We're already starting to see changes in the lighting and the way certain characters are styled. Of course we know this week we have our first recast as well. After the big Eva reveal, I hope the show continues to move into a positive direction and that we see them starting to fix some of the things we've all had issues with.
    • It seems like they may have been going in one direction for Andre and then changed their mind. He had this player/bachelor thing going at first where he was messing with Dani, seemed to be feeling Eva, and then somehow smitten by bland Ashley of all people. I feel like Ashley was supposed to be the one that finally made him want to be with someone and settle. The way he talked her up in those earlier episodes was really confusing. The wonderful, amazing nurse Ashley and conveniently she's unattainable because she has a partner, but he can't stop thinking of her and takes these busted pics of her. It was a mess. However, it all seems to have been dropped. I honestly feel like Andre can go. That may be an unpopular opinion but I don't need his breathy final syllable to be content with BTG. It's always like "There's gotta be another wh-ahyy"
    • This is where McLaibey falls apart. It becomes clear that McTavish had not thought past Brent/Marion...so the energy drops and she starts throwing things at the wall (Blakes twins, Lonatrat.)   Fans HATED this funeral. Everyone is mad at everyone else, which is fine, the death of a beloved community figure would give people a reason to come together...(Quint and Nola could come together at least for  a bit to support each other, Nola and VAn could finally admit they kinda, sorta like each other) Its just an example of McTavish's mean writing.   I have a feeling they were going to make Dahlia Frank's kid but they chickened out. Making Tina a prostitute didn't help, they could have been lovers when they were young but felt society pressure to part. Marcus took over David's role (you can't have two young black men at that time...)   Get used to it...this will happen, the same storyline over and over until the end.
    • Does anyone happen to have a recording or any footage of Jennifer’s funeral?
    • It's such a shame that the conflict couldn't be resolved in a mature way between the two actors.. especially since Albee was a bigger asset for the show in terms of character and his popular will they/won't they pairing with Deborah Saxon. One of the things about Edge was that it was just as popular with male viewers as it was with women.  It's one of things I think the show forgot in the final year or two with the deemphasis on the male characters.
