LMAO! Again with that quick wit! God, she's amazing. You'd swear that is scripted! So entertaining. Too bad she doesn't write about anything I care about. *yawn.*

I can't believe I missed her on Leno!!! I suck SO badly.

Oy.

Oh well. I finally heard the controversial comments about the 9/11 widows. I do agree with everything she says about the cheering for abortion and liberals using people whom you can't argue against, but I disagree with her singling out the widows. It may be true, but I agree with some who say there is a 'line' in discourse that should be observed.

Even if you are a Republican, she is a disgrace to that party and to the human race. I find nothing she says entertaining or correct. She's no better than a terrorist and when you consider those people in the South making her books #1, people do believe her. She's one of the reasons there is so much hate and division in this country.

Here are some quotes from her Wikipedia page, how anyone could support her is beyond me. Even the Republican party (and FOX news) has thrown her out...

Coulter on women

Coulter has stated that women are "not as bright" as men[31], "have no capacity to understand how money is earned"[32], and "shouldn't be in the military."[33].

On a few occasions Coulter has suggested that the constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote should be repealed. In a 14 February 2000 National Review Online article she wrote, "If this ticket doesn't close the gender gap, it's time to repeal the 19th Amendment."

In a February 2001 Politically Incorrect episode, Coulter argued that banning women from voting would ensure Republican presidents would be elected, and that "[women should] all have to give up their vote." [17]

---------------------------

According to her, calling yourself an African-American and wearing traditional African clothes means you take pride in being a slave!

And why does native African kinte cloth get a free pass [from liberals]? It is a historical fact that American slaves were purchased from their slave masters in Africa, where slavery exists in some parts to this day. Indeed, slavery is the only African institution America has ever adopted. But while some Americans express pride in their slave-trading ancestors by calling themselves "African-Americans" and donning African garb, pride in Confederate ancestors is deemed a hate crime. Perhaps, in a bid for the Catholic vote, Democrats could demand that those Masonic symbols be removed from the Great Seal of the United States. And how about the American eagle? The eagle is a bird of prey and hence offensive to rodents, a key Democrat constituency.

Coulter on her support for apartheid in South Africa--this is sick

According to a 2002 report in the UCLA Daily Bruin, Coulter has suggested that she supported apartheid in South Africa. The Bruin printed: "In response to a question on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Miss Coulter said she supported the government of Israel for the same reason she supported apartheid in South Africa, because they were surrounded by "savages". She also opposed Nelson Mandela's marxist-leninist policies as well as the socialistic African National Congress.[18]

What's with the rolling eyes? That is an awesome quote! I heart Ann Coulter. Granted, I don't read her books but whenever I saw her on "Politically Incorrect" or some news broadcast, she'd say something interesting and provocative. (Obviously, I'm a conservative).

and obviously gay, by your avatar, so why would you support such a hate monger - when she's targeting you.

Drew, I respect your right to observe and even vocalize your observations but no, I am not gay. I am, however, an on again, off again bisexual. Lately, however, I've been completely heterosexual. Almost a full week now. :)

As for the EJ image, we'll be changing that with a nice new avatar I've designed about a week ago, that is gender neutral. Expect it when I have more time. :)

bisexual is not any better to those people.

I'm sorry, but this is just stunning. It's like watching black KKK members on Jerry Springer. :o

Well, I hope she realizes it's not good to hate but I can't fault her for the other things that I believe she has right on the money.

so you believe 9/11 widows are happy their husbands died so they could gain fame and political clout?!

No. Actually, if you read my post in this very thread, I don't agree with that. I agree that Libs do use victims of tragedies to further their agenda. I believe Coutler crossed the invisible line I spoke of earlier. It was true, in my opinion (the general idea of using victims to further agendas and shut up Republicans who would look like asses if they tried to fight these vulnerable people), but her execution in saying it was wrong.

Conservatives to the same thing. War In Iraq anyone? Just where are those weapons of mass destruction? I don't see the liberals doing anything remotely close to that in terms of sheer idiocy and the amount of lives lost for a poorly thought out mistake.

She is blatanly in the wrong for TONS of what she says, IMO. And I disagree with most. But she does make some valid points.

#1 - I agree with her point that Republicans and conservatives don't have same freedom of speech as Democrats and liberals. She and the conservatives and republicans are trying to bring it back. They have as much a right to attack the liberals as the liberals do the Republicans ALL OF THE TIME. The Republican hate is constant. And it's everywhere. Now, clearly, to me, they deserve it 9/10th's of the time. But I am not going to dish and not be able to take it. Screw that. They deserve the opportunity to bring it as much as we do.

#2 - I agree with her point that the Dems love to put victims out there to speak for us. Who can argue that? No one. What she said about the 9/11 wives is awful and atrocious. HOWEVER, the 9/11 wives put themselves out into the media and placed themselves on a political platform. If you don't think that is going to be the topic of feverish debate, then you have another thing coming. If we, as a party, actually had upstanding, intelligent Democratic figures with common sense who can actually hold his or her own ground and be knowledgeable about it, we wouldn't need victims to take the political platforms. That's what she's saying, and I agree with her....which is kind of point #3.

#3 - The Democratic Party is an UTTER MESS! I really hope we can pull it together, and FAST! Because the primaries and the election are rapidly approaching.

I don't consider racism and homophobia to be conservative thinking. That is hate speech, plain and simple. But everyone is going for those two things when they attack Coulter, but she has tons of other conservative ideologies. She's actually very intelligent. I heard her speak. When she goes on the homophobic and racist tangents, I tune her out. And when she talks about the, IMO, really, really far-out liberals, then I tune in. And I enjoy it. I considering myself liberal, but some of the extreme iberals take it way too far (Hello, ACLU), and, IMO, are giving me, my liberal opinions, and my title as a liberal a bad name by being too radical.

I've found that most liberals aren't "liberals" anyway. They're basically conservatives who are trying so hard to look like they're PC that it's just so fake, but that's a different discussion.
