I agree with that. The problem, though, is that I feel like we're getting scenes and not story. We're led to believe things are happening, and they aren't.
For ex., take Kat's long conversation with Chelsea about Takahashi, with a little Allison thrown in. Izaiah eventually walked into the scene, too, while Kat did a livestream. What actually happened? Nothing.
The acting and directing were fine and the scene moved. But nothing they talked about matters. We're not given any reason to care about Takahashi and sweatshops, and getting ONE sighting of Allison a few weeks ago is flat-out absurd.
Yep, and the solution to this is above my pay grade. I realize they want characters to run into each other and that eateries make this easy, but it's jarring to watch. Characters are now setting up their laptops and working from the Caffeine Fix, Uptown, and Orphey Gene's.
They do. But honestly, I'm not crazy about previews saving an episode, and that's been happening for weeks.
