Forgot to mention this part from the day-ahead reacaps:
Jack and Diane talking -- Jack learns from a phonecall that Dr. Markham has been found and arrested without incident. Patty has been transferred to a maximum-security psychiatric ward awaiting trial. Jack basically says he feels that everything has been resolved and they can finally rest easy.
So that's another storyline wrapped up and done, offscreen. Lots of stuff wrapping up and/or transitioning in this episode and in the preview video:
Mariah's mental health: She's now onscreen, cured, home, and reunited with her offscreen wife and daughter.
Victor/Nikki reconciled and remarrying.
Diane's kidnapper Dr. Markham arrested offscreen.
Patty Williams offscreen transferred to maximum-security psych ward awaiting trial.
Jack somewhat agrees to letting go of Victor/Jack rivalry.
Victor/Nikki agreeing to turn stuff over to the younger set.
Victoria/Kyle spearheading the businesses and the rivalry now.
Noah/Sienna leaving Genoa City (supposedly temporarily but likely longer).
Danny Romalotti hinting that he could settle down with Cricket in Genoa City and will now (temporarily) run Noah's Shadow Room nightclub as a host to guest rockstar performers.
Also, from July 29 CDN (July 30 USA): Abby and Devon growing apart, Devon reassessing himself, and Daniel asking Abby out on a date.
I'm curious about the spoiler for the end of the week "Victoria and Adam work together to help Nick."
I'd hoped the Matt Clark exit would be coming soon, but I see from the photos that Matt and Cane have upcoming scenes together, so I don't know how long the Matt Clark thing will last. As I said abovethread, I hope Mariah is unperturbed by Matt and that she plots his downfall. Oh and even better if Mariah and Sharon work together to do that.
Nick's addiction recovery would take time.
(I don't know if Phyllis can be fixed.)
