They did the Johnny-as-child-of-rape reveal (EJ/Sami) on DAYS last year,
but Y&R doesn't acknowledge that Chelsea raped Billy (Billy Miller's Billy) -- and that Johnny was the result of that rape. Chelsea and Billy had relationships years later (two separate times, once with Burgess Jenkins' Billy, and then later on with Jason Thompson's Billy). That never should have happened. I don't know if Y&R will ever acknowledge that Billy Abbott was under the influence, unable to legally consent, and Chelsea knew that.

Johnny doesn't know he was conceived via rape, and Connor doesn't know his mother is a rapist.

That being said, I don't trust Griffith to write that. I mean we already have him trying to redeem Matt Clark. Let the Johnny-conception reveal wait until after Y&R gets a decent headwriter.

My recollection was he was upset at first, but then accepted it as you said, but I could be wrong, it wasn't exactly a storyline that I was paying rapt attention to, lol.

I don't want the Christian reveal to happen under JG, if JG tries to make another Connor mental health storyline again.

If nothing else, it was an opportunity to tell a very rich story about how a business titan who's nearing the sunset of his life is forced to start all over again when he should be thinking instead about succession. Sort of like when ATWT's Lucinda Walsh was removed as head of Walsh Enterprises and then started up WorldWide (if I remember correctly, lol). But, whatevs.

Matt’s death in 2001 under Alden & Co. was a continuation of this.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

I think Christine might have gotten in a fight with Isabella but I think I could be wrong about that.

The only home set this past week was the Newman Ranch.

Everybody else met at GCAC, Society, Park Cafe, Crimson Lights or Shadow Club.

No office sets.

The caffeine/alcohol intake of GC residents is off the charts.

MS/Phyllis was giving Trumpian levels of delusion with her rants at Christine. She needs to be backburnered and reset.

Newman Enterprises returning so easily to the Newmans lacked such impact. I try not to compare to storylines of the past, but I am reminded of Jack returning Jabot to John and how much impact that had. Simple dialogue but still held some impact. This missed all of that. Every single beat was missed. A build-up to just drop off.

I'm sorry but not once in Wednesday or Thursday episodes did Phyllis ever make it about how Daniel and Summer would react. It was about her being backed into a corner, with no other option, and having the charges against her dropped. I'm glad Daniel is calling her out on that, too. It's so disingenuous. And with charges dropped against Phyllis, why hasn't Christine gone to Cane and told him the news, which would allow him to travel to New York with Lily to see Malcolm?

I am genuinely hoping that Charlie and Maddie referring to Cane as "dad" is a sign of positive things to come and that returns are going to happen in the next six to eight months. I would never have wanted this, but thanks to the chemistry between Billy Flynn and Christel Khalil, I am all in for this to happen.

The outdoor Chancellor Park Café set is cute. It's nice for more intimate scenes like these. Hoping, at some point, we do get to see some more of the interior, because from the hints we do get, it looks very comfortable. And if I am being honest, Audra and Holden show more promise to me than Claire and Holden ever have. They should be the pair that's put together.

Joshua Morrow's subtle acting, in holding Nick's knee and being antsy, is a great way of showing us that Nicholas is struggling with withdrawals from the pills without having to say he is struggling in text.

Once again, I am asking: why are we not turning Matt Clark in to the police while his memory is lapsed? Or why hasn't Victor dropped him into the cell that he kept/is still keeping Jordan Howard? And allowing him to clean up? Cmon now.

I am genuinely excited to see the Shadow Room being used in Genoa City. It's a classic Y&R set and it looks authentic.
