Finally coming into May with some free time and...

I liked the week before this one. I was happy to see that Brad continued to pivot. They balanced out Brooke vs Katie nicely with the fallout from Ivy's manipulations. And still have bubbling story going on with Hope and Daphne/Carter.

That said I am ready for Katie to slap Brooke. Katie is doing what makes her happy. It was Eric's choice and he doesn't get to whine about it now. Nor does Ridge. However, I do like the direction of where it's going. And B&B is at its best when there are feuding fashion houses. I'm hoping that if the next beat is going to be Hope leaving to join Logan that she brings Deke AND Zende over there and they allow them to get to their fashion potential. Cuz Zende was a cop-out when he should have been on it with HFTF over Thomas at one point. Meanwhile, I really had hoped Deke would have been over at Logan with Eric mentoring him. But...Zende could do that as well. Give us a fashion showdown.

I...at least...continue to enjoy Will vs RJ. And I have to admit that I don't mind RJ and Dylan around each other, either. A love quartet where all parts could fit together? I don't mind that at all. I don't like that Dylan and Electra appear to be chummy again. Actually my feelings are mixed. Yes, Dylan did what Electra wanted her to do and moved out so Electra can't keep holding anything over her. But at the same time Dylan DID kiss Will a lot so can she really forgive that? Also Electra is being hypocritical when she had those kisses with RJ. And weren't they throwing barbs at each other? Good barbs at that? And Will does seem to have Dylan on the brain, too. So there's so much messiness there still and I love it. And again...that Friday cliffhanger was unexpected and great that I am about to see how it is resolved. B&B has been giving it over the last month or two with Friday cliffhangers and I love it.

I could care less about Daphne and Carter wanting a baby. Her hair looks pretty though. hehe. I do like we have a nice little C plot going on though. And I'm curious to see if it will lead somewhere to keep Carter and Daphne in story.

Yep to all of this. It's trash writing.

The truth is, though, that this is the B&B formula -- designed to be ridiculous and to get us to eyeroll and throw our heads back. They know it's awful but that it engages viewers. They have no interest in trying to write good stories.

But seriously...I think this is the first meh week for me in what...two/two and a half months. I guess a show that has been surprisingly good for that amount of time can have a slow week.

Because I definitely loved the reveal of Remy and Dylan being cousins. It did make me think of @ranger1rg and his dislike of Dylan and going AHA!!! In a good way. I always said Dylan could be played as a good girl or vixen depending on how the writing goes because I do feel the actress is capable. And I do like and hope that since all Remy wants Dylan to do (for now) is to help him get back together with Deke that means Deke will get his time in the storyline sun...something B&B has for the most part been allowing everyone to be in a little bit in the last few months.

Dylan becoming Daphne's assistant seems like a C plot for something else down the road.

Meanwhile, all that was left this week was setting up for the next step in Brooke vs Katie with the potential for Hope to quit and join Logan. And Steffy...did not help her case by laughing in Hope's face. I didn't like that at all. But Hope manipulating Brooke behind the scenes didn't look good, either. And Brooke and the lingerie..le sigh. It also doesn't help that we had this storyline with Brooke/Ridge/Steffy...what, last year. It went nowhere. So I hope if they do it, it will be going somewhere this time.

And the NEXT WEEK promo with Zende. You better fight to get a storyline, young man!! lol. Everyone else is getting one. JS.

Again...okay week, but mostly meh.

So I'm working in the office today and watching B& B today. I have serious questions on Brooke's wardrobe and hairstyle.

I also see nothing has changed with Ridge replacing Steffy (his daughter with Taylor) with Brooke. Rinse, lather, and repeat.

Brad Bell is such a nepo baby.

Brooke is so delusional I laughed through her scenes today as she was 100% sure Ridge would name her co-CEO. I mean, in what universe? And pitiful Hope banks er entire career on Brooke becoming co-CEO?

Also insufferable? Katie, who acts forlorn and distraught at the news about Brooke. Shouldn't she worry more about getting a designer for Logan? She says their companies would be "toe-to-toe," typical soap writing that pretends only two companies exist in the entire world.

There was a moment today when Thorsten Kaye almost started smiling during a scene with JMW. These actors know how bad it all is.
