Not sure.

JC was 84 when she passed in May 2013. She would have been 85 in October 2013.

Jerry Douglas was 84 in 2016 when Ghost John last appeared. Jerry passed in November 2021 three days before what would have been his 89th birthday.

Marla Adams was 82 in 2020 when Dina was killed off. Marla passed in April 2024 at age 85. She would have been 86 in August 2024.

GH: April 2026 Discussion Thread

Very. KS has come a long way in two years. And while I hate Nathan (or I guess it's 'Nathan') and Lulu, I definitely have liked the arc of Maxie finding out about them. I guess I've liked Maxie's return overall. She just fit and the stuff going on flowed now that she was back. But for her to be out so quick. To have her and 'Nathan' come to terms was jarring since they stalled the story in the first place because KS left. If they were still going to do the 'Nathan' reveal, they could have gone ahead without her. And then she could pick up on his inconsistencies and doing 'will she figure it out' tension within the story.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread

I honestly can't see her as Hope. If she were to have replaced Elvera (possible, since she came in right after Elvera exited the show) I just don't see it working. She had an innate and obvious sex appeal back then. That was important for Nola and Reva, not so much for Hope.
Another issue is that I don't believe she ever had any real chemistry with Chris. Mainly because I think she needed to dominate scenes. They really clashed. (I don't mean personally, though she's hinted that they did a little in her memoir and in interviews). That's why RN was a such good screen partner for her--he's way more laid back.
It wasn't so bad when Alan was playing the spoiler in her romance with Josh (O.K., I"m lying, I couldn't stand the two of them together, LOL)--but the two of them playing a real romantic couple with a long history? Even after they had broken up? No, I don't see it working.
Once Chis exited in 1984--who would they have paired her with? Without the history between the characters like what Reva and Josh shared, I just don't see a Josh and Hope pairing working. Ross? Who knows, I wouldn't have thought to put Sherry Stringfield with him, but Sherry was playing a manipulative character and that was part of why they were an interesting pairing, at least in the beginning,
Here's an idea--if they were to bring her in as someone else, maybe Rita? In that case, KZ's obvious sex appeal would have worked far better for the character. But then, the lack of chemistry with Chris would have been a problem there, too.

B&B: April 2026 Discussion Thread

I thought Deke still lived at the apartment he had when when we first met him and Remy moved out, but I could be mistaken.
It tracks to me that Steffy would judge Sheila forever because she's the most judgemental character on the show, and Sheila gives the most fodder to judge. I do think it would be more interesting if they followed through with Finn softening towards her for the reasons you outlined. If they're going to keep Finn chained to Steffy, it would be nice if they had some conflict. Any conflict they've had for the past few years was very brief, and was some variation of Finn submitting to Steffy, but Steffy deemed it wasn't done quick enough.
Deke being ambivalent towards Sheila would interesting as well. Not that he has to be a clone of millennium Decaon, but the character would work better as being morally grey instead of Hope with a dick. I do like seeing Li as Sheila's friend from time to time, so I guess that's a consolation.
Anywhoo, seeing Sheila back in her Nurse Ratchet getup was a hoot. B&B is on a bit of a roll with giving us fun Friday cliffhangers.

When most people think of Days, its the supercouple era and Reilly that first come to mind.
I'd watch the Bill Bell years to see elements he later used on Y&R/B&B and actors and actresses that later appeared on Y&R/B&B.
