Tomas is GONE from the opening. The show went to great lengths to disguise that he's gone, by moving everyone else around except Anita, Vernon, Beautiful, and Dani -- but Tomas is nowhere to be found.

Since the "revision & shuffling", I've only noticed TWO openings (like before the shuffling) --

Anita, Vernon, Beautiful, Dani, Bill, Andre, Ashley, Izaiah, Smitty, Chelsea, Naomi, and Theodore

Anita, Vernon, Beautiful, Dani, Vanessa, Martin, Hayley, Jacob, Joey Armstrong, Leslie, Eva, and Kat

I won't miss Tomas if he's being exited, but if that's happening, it's a mistake to telegraph that with a change in the open.

Been Gavin (Derek) was also removed from the open when he went to recurring, so it's possible the same is happening to Alex Alegria.

Looks that way. Grayson was introduced for Asley when Derek was phased out, so it will be interesting to see who they have lined up for Kat. Although BTG use their recurring players fairly regularly so Tomas might hang around for a while.

Seems like the writers/producers do pay attention to viewer reactions when you consider how Ashley and Derek were reset for season 2. With Tomas being poorly received mostly because of Alegria's acting it wouldn't be surprising if he was dropped.

Hayley has let Lynette shake her down, yet Lynette called her a B. Lynette is jealous Hayley secured a big, permanent mark (of course Hayley doesn't see Bill as permanent).

theres 2. The one with AA was retired and replaced with what you see on screen now

We still have an A opening and a B opening; the new "A" opening debuted on April 8, and the new "B" opening debuted on April 9. Alex Alegria is out of the opening, but as of April 8, he was still on contract. some of the moves had to do with slide transitions (i.e., Bradon Clayon, Marquita Goings, and Jibre Hordges moving from the A opening to the B opening). Very smart on their parts.

I don't understand what's so smart about moving an actor from one opening to the other.

Thoughts:

• Anita is having a bit too much fun delivering the news, but I love this for her. It is truly wonderful that she only has a few more rounds of chemotherapy left to undergo at this stage.

• Tomas, trusting Katherine is a mistake. Her mouth is big enough to sell out anyone's secrets before it is too late to hold her back, to spite her tongue.

• Hayley is really doing her best to try and sell her con to Bill, but I suspect she will not be successful, and hopefully she will get her due before Bill's life is too far gone to save.

• Dani's look at Anita and Vernon taking about Sharon and Tracy sparks interest in me; she may have called Andre, but I know she wants to call Bill, too.

• Baby?! Baby?! Bill Hamilton, you might want to run and hide, because it looks like the child bride is about to snap your neck off. No bueno, even though I know it felt right to say it.

• Even with her so-called makeover, Dana is not as high on the scale as she thinks she is.

• Of course Katherine would have thought Eva was following her... nasty, self-centred cow.

• Hopefully with Anita's improving health, Katherine's demeanour can improve. Including Eva was a good start, but there is so much more she could and should be doing.

• Not Dana running that "baby" into Hayley's face. That is not something you want someone like Dana overhearing. Ouchies.

Notes:

• Both Zimmerman and Paige did outstanding work today on the script. There was a fluid flow, some really great dialogue, and a nice array of characters that didn't feel like too much was happening.

As of today: Alex Alegria (Tomas) is now recurring.

-- Now BTG is copying Y&R and moving living room furniture into the main dining room.

-- Ted went from seeing Eva at the country club to having coffee with Andre at the Airport Mall Coffee Shop Atrium? Uh...ok.

-- Ted told Shanice OFFSCREEN that he wants to slow things down??? Are you kidding me with this??? That last conversation they had did not contain all the crap Ted is saying now. I want Shanice to cut him off. Completely.
