Well, I really dislike Billy and Hailey's living room or whatever that room is supposed to be. Maybe you're right. Maybe its supposed to be tacky. In that case, they hit the nail on the head.

With that being said, I agree with what you said above. Some people rave about GH's sets. I think they look bland and completely too industrial looking lacking warmth, except for one or two.

OTOH, horrible storylines and just unwatchable for me, but I will give B&B their props. Beautiful colorful warm sets.

Is it the best set? No. Is it as awful as everyone wants to make it out to be? No. It certainly fits Hayley's personality; the only thing I would do is change the couch's colour from magenta to maybe olive green or something a bit more complementary to the space. If anything, it should be the colour of the chair by the archway, and then I would make the chair magenta as the 'accent' piece.

I think it is meant to be taken as tacky, or as Hayley's idea of what 'taste' should be.
