Yeah Jacinda can exit stage left at anytime. It is like trying to make fetch happen. Her only layer of intrigue is her relationship with Erza.

Personally, I feel Mesure elevated that material and again could have been on longer with better story. And might have if PM was still there. But we all know I'm bias for my listed reasons. That clock was going from the moment of the recast.

Yep. I never knew how much I like the idea of Jason at the WSB until it presented itself. And it was done at the perfect time with Jason returning with a maturity I never saw with him, SB being fair game and humbled, and the growing closer ties to his kids and the Q. Perfect to move him out of the mob and make him just mob-adjacent, but alas.

Hehe. Well, Frank is gonna Frank so it's not shocking he has lasted this long. I'm even shocked that knowing the character's days are numbered he is STILL on screen.

But I agree. He could have easily been integrated into the cast. I had said that when Mesure was in the role, the idea of Jason as an WSB agent was a stroke of genius. Jason came back and apparently wanted a different life than just being Sonny's enforcer. And being with the WSB would allow for Jason to still do action stuff that was not mob related while being involved in other non-mob stories but actual drama like the Sons of the Father storyline that appeared to be getting set up with Danny and Jake. Brennan offering him that job...as well as romancing Carly...and Anna...would have been another way to do so when Jason said yes.

There were obviously places to go with Brennan, but the show stalled on the character. I am sure there were some backstage issues that affected the character's trajectory, but GH never knows when to cut their losses with a character. They constantly do this with characters that really only have a short term purpose because the actor was once on OLTL or in a primetime show 2 decades ago.

Or people they just like having around, like at least a third of the cast. Sasha should've gone ages before she did. Willow was around for years before miraculously becoming anything more than bland. Curtis and Jordan, Martin, Chase, I could go on.

Like Jacinda for example. ;) But seriously, yes. I am sad the BTS really closed the door for Brennan's potential, but they really should have written him out a while ago. But I can say that for quite a few characters on the show. But...Frank gotta Frank.

Anna and Lucy are reasonably genial acquaintances, not friends AFAIK. Anna tolerates Lucy given her past misadventures, and was not in town for her more reformed years.

I do think Jacinda and Kristina may happen, but I don't really care either way. I find Jacinda tedious and the whole thing a waste of time.

Brennan has always been a jumped-up dayplayer, as caroline says. They elevated him to give LW a romantic partner when the latest attempt at Jason/Carly died on the vine and recast him to play out what is left of his story. He has never held much interest for me with any actor, and you could tell he had a clock on him from the beginning.

Either Jason or Lucky (or both) should've been in the WSB years ago.

Maybe Finola really likes that picture of her and Lynn lol. They have enough friends in common for me to buy they may be closer than what is shown on screen. Lucy doesn't appear that often and for all we know Anna/Lucy were off screen having girls night for years lol.

Yeah, I am prepared for Jacinda/Kristina, but Mansi did not like being paired with Blaze, so maybe the punishment of getting no story for a year or so made Mansi change her views lol.

Lucky being in the WSB would have been amazing.

I understand the idea of a large cast and trying to make the PC world seem bigger. With the cast being so bloated you lose focus. There are too many characters to juggle so no one wins. GH could legitimately fire 10-15 people, hire or re-hire pivotal characters and run under the same budget with tighter storytelling.

Yeah, it has gotten to the point that sometimes even I...who can keep track of people...have started to forget about folk. Do we even know where Scotty is? And there was that almost two weeks where Portia seem to vanish in the middle of her storyline.

If only re: getting rid of 15, bringing back pivotals, same budget with tighter storytelling.

I think Scott just disappeared. I know Kin had an injury and surgery, but I think we are to assume he is still in town? Someone correct me if I am wrong though.

It’s not the amount of people for me, it’s how they are used. The show is full of interesting characters and feels empty and most of them are just there.

BITD, AMC had, like, 60 actors on contract, yet just about all of them had good stories to work with. So, yeah, I definitely agree with what you're saying here, @titan1978 .
