ITA - The Eric/Katie angle is a complete missed opportunity. Eric volunteered to help Katie launch LOGAN and then he wanted to be her designer after Ridge tossed him out like a broken stapler.

I've always despised Eric because he's a smarmy narcissist - very childlike - pivoting to whatever he wants like a baby. FC only survived his flightiness because of Stephanie's money, business acumen and, frankly, stability.

And Bill/Katie are on the right side of this fight both legally and morally. I'm sad LOGAN will be gone and forgotten by May sweeps.

A complete missed opportunity. Bold finally got something right and interesting....and it feels all for nothing. I definitely don't care about Elektra, Dylan, and Will. This story was the only reason why I decided to give the show another chance.

As for Katie, it's about time she started reminding Brooke that she's a homewrecker. But I don't like how Bill seems to get a pass. Brooke didn't hold him down and have her way with him.

-- Steffy says Dylan has a "powerful presence." What the hell am I watching?

-- it's long past sundown. It's dark outside. Why are Steffy and Electra still at work?

-- Brooke calls herself "resilient." Is that a reference to her begging Ridge to take her back over and over and over?

Half of Thursday's episode was preempted here. I wasn't too disappointed, considering how bored I was with the episode.

You didn't miss a thing.

Here's a story you didn't need: I was typing my last post above as I watched. Then CBS News broke in.

Later, I watched the rest on the CBS website. There was nothing else to add to my post.

Dylan and Will kissed again -- she's still a ho pretending she's sweet and innocent -- and she left Will to go to her room. Then she started at him from afar, pretending she's in some angst-filled teenage romance.

Brooke and Katie hurled more insults at each other.

That's it.

Again Bridge and Eric are so damn insufferable, I'm rooting for Batie

How does Eric and Bridge not know how a CONTRACT works??

Worse was Hope's indignation about Eric. Are you kidding me?

I've always disliked the Forresters being portrayed as being right, no matter how despicable their actions are - kicking Eric to the curb - while everyone else is somehow morally bankrupt.

$B hanging up on Bridge, Eric was fabulous!

I know it's unlikely, but I hope Brad has a change of heart regarding LOGAN and keeps it as FC's rival. It'd be great if Eric is forced to continue working for LOGAN based on the contract. At first, he'd be p.o.'d, but if they brought Deke as LOGAN's future designer, Eric might discover he has an opportunity to reinvent himself, etc. There's no need to burn through this story just to revert to status quo.

What a mess the entire episode was.

-- You mean to tell me Katie and Bill never talked to Eric ALL WEEK about his designs, who owns them, his contract, or anything else?

-- All those extras -- for what? Was this supposed to be some special unveiling? Why would those influencers be there?

-- Those Eric-designed gowns were beyond basic.

-- Brooke and Ridge are upset about LOGAN. So what do they do? Show up and cause a spectacle. NONE of it makes sense.

I am so sick of Ridge, Brooke and Steffy with their holier than thou attitudes about EVERYTHING. I did enjoy Katie throwing Bill in Brooke's face for stealing him from her.

I love Will, as dumb as he is. I also don't trust Dylan but Electra is ridiculous.

Uh oh? Why uh oh? A meh start of the week for me.

So far the highlight was Will vs Electra. Who knew anger and nailing it was genetic. Yes, I mean Crew Morrow and his father gives good anger heat, too. He might be no saint for kissing Dylan, but Will nailed Electra for kissing RJ. But it was a good fight. Just when you thought they would get back together, it went left. I liked how that was done.

I laughed as soon as I heard 'it's not proper' fly out of Ivy's lips during Ivy vs Daphne. I guess this is how they are going to keep Daphne relevant now that she's married to Carter.

And I'm liking the two young troublemakers. It's been overdue in that age range. So silly, but they are keeping things moving.

Katie looked fierce at the dinner. That said...ugh to said dinner. Ridge and Brooke being smug and entitled is automatically going to make me root for Bill and Katie. Sorry.

Has any character uttered “employee agreement”? Eric signed an employee agreement that says the same thing every employee agreement says.

The work you do and present is the property of the company. It’s that simple.

I was thinking - Bill and Katie enforce an employee agreement and Eric concocts a plan to design what he has to do for Katie/Bill/Logan - and agrees on the side to do designs for Forrester.

When the designs are complete, have someone switch them so that Logan/Katie - get the real ones; Forrester gets his second-rate ones. Ridge and Brooke, excited to review the designs, open them at home. Over the course of the next day, they decide to then have to revert to telling Eric he no longer has “it” for designing; that maybe retirement was the way to go. They will scramble to get good designs in time.

At an internal Logan show run-through - Eric sees his good designs on the runway that same day, and either starts to tell them the truth or must remain silent because he would be admitting his under the table deal with Forrester.

Katie and Bill both pretend not to know what’s going on. Eric goes to Forrester for their run-through, and Ridge cuts him off (and doesn’t let him speak, the way that they do), talks over him, so does Brooke - and before Eric can say that the designs got swapped, they bring up retirement again.

Eric now has not second thoughts but THIRD thoughts. “You were….ready to get rid of me again because I just had an average set of designs? You were already jumping at the chance again?”

Bill and Katie have snuck in the back listening in. They walk into the back of the room, still unseen.

Eric tells Brooke and Ridhe that he was at the Logan run through and THOSE were his real designs, that somehow someone switched them out.

Katie and Bill step forward - “switched what designs, Eric?” Regardless of what you were trying to do, the designs are still ours. You were under an agreement and were using the company laptop and email to communicate. They’re ours and will remain so. Eric doesn’t know how to feel because Bridge once again showed their true colors about his aging, and that has nothing to do with switching designs. They are ready not to believe in him regardless of the situation.

You could get years of story out of this. It may be a good time to kill Eric off. Not usually a fan of it but, given the character, no one else can play the role. Keep him on the show as ghostly memories or advice from time to time like YR did with John Abbott.

The very last designs that Eric Forrester created - were for Logan because Bridge repeatedly confirmed they didn’t believe in him. Donna agrees and she sides with Katie.

The cousin scenes were strange and forced. All Will had to say was he offered his resignation and co-CEO Steffy refused.

Katie/Brooke scenes are getting nasty and real. KKL/HT are great scene partners that know how to play off of history. HT doesn't need poor, sickly Katie to deliver. Historically, B&B reverts characters to their status quo - it would be great if this evolution of Katie actually stuck.

Good for Bill, Eric deserved to humiliated at the press conference for flaking on Katie and letting Ridge & Brooke clean up his mess rather than manning up and discussing it his sister-in-law himself. I can't say I'm disappointed with Eric going back FC this soon, I don't think there is much to gain in dragging this portion of the story out. It's not like Eric has explosive chemistry with Bill or Katie and we're missing out on tons of great Eric/Katie or Eric/Bill scenes. The meat of this story is Brooke & Katie's feud. Both KKL & Tom have really brought it in their last few confrontations. The writing has been better too. Even though I'm siding with Katie at the moment, I feel like today and last week Brooke had a more believable and sympathetic POV versus a few weeks ago.

I agree that Hope & Liam's scenes last week were weak. They should have been Steffy/Liam scenes. It's strange that Steffy is more concerned with staffing FC's most junior positions, but barely has anything to say about the Eric drama.

On another note, Crew Morrow has really improved in the last year or so. He was great during his confrontation scenes today. Centering the Gen-Z story on him is smart.
