-- Did I hear Sharon tell Noah "Your dad hasn't let us down yet"? In just the past month, Matt Clark overpowered dumb Nick in the car and turned limping Nick into a drug addict.

-- Billy Flynn and Michelle Stafford could barely keep it together today during those stupid scenes about giving Chancellor back to the Newmans. I'm actually glad to see them near breaking, because it's good to know they think this story is ridiculous, too.

The line from yesterday's show that made me laugh the most was Phyllis' "I'm the one sitting behind this desk in this office," implying that she's doing some sort of work. Then maybe "the secret" is now revealed to non-denizens of Genoa City--maybe, unlike companies in the rest of the world, the GC companies run themselves, allowing each company's CEO to take credit for leading the company and requisite financial compensation, all without lifting a finger. Maybe that's why all the Genoa City folks continually fight over those companies???

I will say this: the story concepts are there. The baseline work is done, but the power and emphasis behind it all is absolutely missing. Josh needs to bring in a co-head writer, allow them to take his ideas and sculpt them, and put some emotional stakes behind them.
