I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but these Anita/Vernon/Leslie scenes are cracking me up. I love it so much, especially when Leslie called him 'Vern' and he was like uh, no, call me by my real name or Senator haha. She's always giving people nicknames and I love it.

original release date: Thursday, February 19, 2026 | writers: Jamey Giddens, Cheryl L. Davis | director: Sonia Blangiardo-Goins

Thoughts:

  • Regardless of the chemotherapy, that speciality menu at the country club just does not sound appetising. My stomach bubbled just hearing what was being made.

  • Tomas meeting with Lynette? I wonder what he is trying to accomplish. Sneaky, sneaky, sir.

  • Colour me surprised that Naomi showed up at the hotel room to check in on Hayley. Any feelings she may be feeling will be gone once the truth absolutely comes out.

  • Dana really needs to back off of Anita and Vernon; the Articulettes are not going to be interested in connecting with her regardless of the prize package she may have won, and this is really not helping Anita's stress level.

  • I am still not buying Elon's honest support of Jacob being part of this latest investigation; it does feel as if he is setting his son up. I cannot and will not shake that feeling in my intuitive gut.

  • Oh, the way I would be dragging Dana from my table for her attitude and the poor manner in which she is handling herself.

  • Looks like Randy is about to put his plan into motion... at Uptown of all places. Let's be smarter about meeting places.

  • Dana? Sensitive? If she is sensitive, then I am a heterosexual. And not her virginity story causing both Anita and Vernon to immediately lose their appetite.

  • Moving out? I know Jacob is likely trying to protect Naomi from the mess he is about to get mixed up in but it does worry me.

  • Lynette is shaken by Randy's words. Oh, girlfriend was not thinking properly about this.

Notes:

  • I knew today would be a writer2 day. I could just tell from those opening scenes. Their worst breakdown writer. CUT THEM and hire someone more capable, please!

  • For career con artists that Hayley, Lynette, and Randy claim to be, their continued public meetings are becoming a bit much. You would think they would understand how problematic and attention-drawing those can be.

  • The re-dressing of the Hawthorne set is very nice; I would not be upset if the bedroom did not return and they kept the set the way it is now. Much more versatile.

-- Jacob is undercover but still spends a lot of time at the police station and with other cops -- like his chief of police pops. This plasma story is already underwhelming, and it's getting worse.

-- Naomi has more patience and kindness for Hayley -- who wrecked her parents' marriage -- than she does for anyone else, including her own husband.

-- This show still has a major problem with criminals meeting in very public places. Lynette standing with Randy in the middle of Uptown is a joke. And why did he even need to see her? Nothing important was discussed.

-- Also a joke? Tomas meeting with Lynette at the airport mall coffee shop. Why not at the office? And why is she getting so much time and energy from the law firm when she's paying for nothing? Oh, yeah, she "saved" Hayley.

-- Speaking of Hayley, we're still getting no information on her mugger. Is this show afraid to assign a race to the bad guy?

-- The Vernon and Anita scenes continue to be good, but Leslie was too big an interference today. No way should the Duprees tolerate Leslie to that degree.

With that hairstyle, Tomas looks like big-boy-burgandy.png?v=16974268931228355

Leslie has nothing better to do than push people's buttons and in the most tasteless ways.

Jacob was too anxious to move out and it was about way more than the case.

Ugh, they pre-empted the first minute or two... which is fine, but just annoying that they couldn't get the news off a minute earlier. Oh well.

Chelsea has those obnoxious butterfly earrings on again haha.

Oh how I love this Dupree vs. Anastasia rivalry!

Waiting for the inevitable drink toss or slap which will, of course, be caught on camera.

I'm loving it!

I'm sensing a redemption storyline for Randy with Mona.

Thoughts:

  • Vernon is in overprotective mode and I do not blame him.

  • So sweet of Mona to extend her congratulations to Chelsea and Madison on their engagement, and damn, that engagement ring is beautiful! Madison has some good taste.

  • Dang. Every single Dupree woman loves to go in on Anatasia, who keeps mentioning how Samantha is Dupree adjacent. Gross behaviour. But love that Nicole did not let it deter her from her focus on bringing down Anastasia and diagnosing her at the country club.

  • Ms Mona is crushing on Randy; I have a feeling this could be a good thing or a bad thing. She wants that bad – down bad – to the point of inviting him to church.

  • Not Dana accusing Anita of abusing substances. That is lowbrow. Wow.

  • I am GAGGING at Vanessa's excitement over Samantha not having an escort and Nicole choking on her drink. That was hilarious. I have not laughed like that in a bit.

  • Gossip dressed up like concern? Oh, that is a good line. Anita served with that.

  • Mona's "have a blessed day" was giving the equivalent of "Bless her heart," haha.

  • So Bill's donation came with a branch of the research opportunity in Fairmont Crest? That is quite interesting but also nice that he did that for both Chelsea and Madison.

  • Donnell as Samantha's escort? That is a brilliant idea!

Notes:

  • Montgomery writes a solid breakdown and today was no exception. Much better flow than yesterday's breakdown.

  • As someone who is not religious in the slightest, I do appreciate some background on Lent and those traditions.

Okay, they are definitely doing something with Randy and Mona. Not sure what it is yet at this point.
