I absolutely love Nicole and I think if she's not getting back with Ted, I want her with Kial. He's sexy and mysterious and DD & GV have great chemistry.

Also, since season 2 began, the show feels like it's firing on all cylinders. They've added more sets and the show looks beautiful. I'm so proud to be a fan of BTG.

I agree with you on this. I don't want BTG to do what every other soap has done. I'd rather these tropes be turned on their heads.

I know others disagree, but saying this is typical daytime just sounds like an excuse to me. I don't expect Gates to reinvent the wheel, but I also would like to avoid the cliches and do the unexpected more often.

I would still keep Andre and Dani married for at least the year and probably longer. IIRC Dani even bet or came close to betting Joey Armstrong on them lasting a year, which is shades of the story MVJ did with Lucy and Damian Smith on GH in 1994 - betting on ruining Bobbie and Tony's marriage.

I like both couples, and I understand why Andre is better for Dani but she will eventually break his heart. That's daytime to me.

The other shows resort to those kind of tropes usually b/c they've been on for years and the characters have done everything-that's when long lost children, baby switches, evil twins, serial killers etc turn up.

BTG is shiny and new and have plenty of avenues to explore before having to go to soap cliches.

It's not about an excuse, it's about the nature of the genre IMO. I think the pairings both work and have heat, even as Bill and Dani are clearly dysfunctional and often toxic. Based on online response they have as many fans into them despite all their awful history and/or loving/hating them in equal measure, or advocating for either end of the triangle. That's soap opera audiences for you. And all of those elements are why it works for me the same as that divided audience. Of which we are now two.

I'm not saying that old tropes are the way to go, but that's definitely what this particular story has drawn on. There have been different approaches to some things, though.

I think I would prefer Bill/Dani to stay divorced and co-exist as people always in one another's life and not being end game.. unless the show is going to end and both characters have character growth.

One of the downfalls of soaps is the constant making up and breaking up that couples do and I would like BTG not to resort to that.

Right now, both Dani and Bill have enough going on in their lives where they don't need to interact. Let them return to their orbits and put some focus on their daughters, especially Chelsea (who's been given little to no clear development/focus on-screen).

On another topic, I don't understand why some people are thinking Nicole is throwing away her self-respect just because she put on a new dress and went out to get a drink by herself. To me, that shows someone that is secure within herself and isn't trying to be something she isn't. Her conversation with Kial flowed well and the chemistry was between two consenting adults just having a good night out.

While I don't agree with sex shaming anyone, I also don't agree with vanilla shaming... which I notice on some other platform/social medias they are doing to Kat. Especially when Kat was still a virgin and wasn't keen on just sleeping with everyone unlike her misguided cousin Chelsea.

I don't think either Nicole or Kat have anything to be ashamed of.

I love how it's clear that the writers know what is been said about the characters online and are in tune with the fan community. At least that's how it feels to me. They know. They see. Hahahaha. It's all in the little details and wording.

If there comes a day that some character refers jokingly of Leslie... as Silkpress... I'll scream. 😂

So her actions ring false to me just as much as Andre suddenly talking about his insecurities again out of the blue. It feels like the writers are again doing Dani/Bill = endgame while Andre is now in Hayley's spot as spoiler. It would be so much better if they make it an actual triangle, and not couple with obstacle. If that makes sense.

Great analysis on all fronts. I personally expected Dani to do this for a long time, even though I saw that they were developing the Andre angle more due to fan reactions and chemistry. But I always saw him as her dildo and Bill as her main goal to reclaim. She narcissistically wants to prove to herself that she can get him back. That's the main thing for me. That is my perception.

If they do come together, Bill and Dani... I want her to be the one that breaks his heart the first moment they do. He deserves that karma, it will hurt more than poison. And I think Dani is capable of it.

Hayley... I think the writers have much bigger plans for than some people expect. We'll see.
