Vanessa, being a Madame looks good on you. I just hope Gloria and Calliope appreciate what you are doing for them.
Oh no. What cheque did Bradley just discover? It cannot be good if he is that taken aback!
Oh, a cheque from Joey.
Damn Derek, calm your oversized t*ts. My goodness. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the firehouse cot.
You can sense the true respect that Vernon had for Bill and that it is missing from Bill's world because of his choice to leave his marriage to Dani.
Well, it looks like Gloria and Calliope did not like the insinuation of Vanessa's offer. No bueno.
Bradley is brave to confront Joey about the cheque he wrote for Martin's campaign, and I feel like this will not end in a good way.
Dani is absolutely shook at Vanessa owning the escort business she used to employ men from.
Aw, it is heartbreaking seeing Vernon so hurt by Bill's exit from the family. You can tell he truly cared about his former son-in-law.
I understand Derek's upset... but he is coming off like a hot-headed piece of trash right now. He has no right to act in the way he is right now. there is a right way and a wrong way, and he has chosen the wrong way.
Vanessa is cracking to those she believes she can trust with cracking, and one of those people happens to be Dani.
The way Vernon speaks to Bill is how a father who is disappointed in their son speaks to their son. That is true love right there. Genuinely.
Notes:
Excellent script work today by Dunn and Martin. I like their pairings as breakdown and scriptwriter, respectively.
The chem-testing with Ernestine Johnson (Shanice) and Keith D. Robinson (Ted) is working on me. I could see it actually happening.
That final shot of Jon Lindstrom's Joey was effective. Normally, when he moved, the camera would.. but the camera stayed still. Brilliant choice by Pomarico.
