I actually enjoyed Britt when she left. They have really gone in a wrong direction with that story and the insistence of keeping the Rocco aspect of the story alive is such a bad decision.

Yeah, I used to like him cuz Cassadine. I even liked his pairing with Anna. BUT how that relationship ended due to Charlotte and the stuff surrounding Pikeman (cuz he WAS the head of it) is what turned me off of him. At least PM gave him a purpose again even if it would have (and should have) led to his end. And the Anna I've seen on this show would not have been as weepy as she's been and have handled him easily so another strike against him since he makes a beloved character act out of character. Not helped by the tone of his current story.

As did I. It didn't bother me that Britt returned. And the start of her story was good. But once she landed in PC, they made Britt into some comedy skit/cartoon character and that was a no go. And they never should have done this story with Rocco.

Drum roll? Le sigh. Just when I was respect Sidwell a little bit, back to the 'jokes.'

Carly betraying Lulu like that is out of character. Carly does a lot of wacky things and is selfish, but I think it's awful how she went behind Lulu's back especially considering how close Lulu/Carly were (are?).

The fact that Britt was allowed to still be a Dr. and even become Chief of Staff after that is actually absurd. I’m glad I missed it.

The show writes Carly and Lulu as way too close for it to be believable at all that she would betray her like this.

Really enjoyed the Christmas episode. I love the Tracy and Gio relationship so much. Jane truly lights up around him.

Also loved Willow bringing Scout by to see her family. Drew is such a prick all the time now Willow barely got him to even agree to do this. I can’t wait for this marriage to explode in his face. It’s all over Willow’s face that she does not love this man anymore.

I am no Britt historian or anything, but I think the narrative is that Britt is a very good doctor.

So insane they got Alexa, one of the last ABCD stars, out of retirement as Mrs. Bruening to treat her like this. I don't blame the network who clearly wanted the Spencers, but the network is letting Frank run wild. You can say a lot about Guza but he'd never waste a star recast like this.

Frank's treatment of Lulu is actually having the opposite effect for me. I don't even like Lulu much and I am 100% on her side. Havins is fabulous and is being made to be the villain at every turn. She's still more entertaining than BLQ crying over Gio and his violin. Although, same Brook, same. Gio and his violin are fabulous.

We don't have to imagine. I remember what Carly did to Lulu re: Michael's trial years ago (a grace moment they actually played beautifully a month or so back which Alexa and Laura both played well, with layers). She made it a jihad. Probably the last old school Carly rampage and one of the reasons I still say LW is better at the core of the character than she's sometimes given credit for.

As for Lulu's treatment, it's the Frank special. It's backfired so many times when pushing a character hard (Natalia, Kristina, etc.) or dragging another you'd think he'd have learned by now. Which is why I still say he'll do what he often does when he fails: Grudgingly give the audience what they want (Dante and Lulu) in like a year or 18 months in a half-assed fashion, then fire one or both.

Yeah. For sure. I just reached the part of my viewing where Portia needed a doctor and while not first choice, Britt does know her stuff and do what she had to do. Easily coming across as a human being, too.

I was about to come in here and ask about Gio's violin and why that was so triggering for everyone, but they gave us a flashback :) Loved that he played it, and loved everyone's expressions/reactions, especially BLQ's.

I've only been watching for ~4 months,, which hasn't had much of Ava, but when they do, it's clear she's very close to Trina. What's that quick background between the two and why is she attached to her?

I loved seeing Cody watching the Christmas movie with the girls. I'm loving the Cody/Molly story!

Catching up a bit: Not news to most people here, but Monday's ep did have some lovely scenes with Cody and Tracy playing backgammon(?) and discussing the weight of her new role among the family. Even if it was a delivery system for more Cody/Molly. I will give their big moment a chance when I get to it, but Jane and Josh Kelly are just such a handsome couple (and one even JK wants) and I remain invested in Cody/Tracy. I see no reason to stop believing that Molly as a character needs at least 3-5 years away and a more interesting actress if they ever want to make her a major player. Cody and Molly still just feel like Hallmark filler to me, nice though it may sometimes be.

You know Steve Burton's role has this show has shifted when his main holiday drama is a) being a plot mover for Cody and Molly by explaining the Britt situation and b) bailing Britt and Brad out of jail.

Rocco and Gio's bond is still so wholesome. I can't say I hate that Emma and Gio are now spending more time with Trina than Joss is either.

And yet for all that shifting, I actually enjoy Jason on my screen doing not much vs Sonny.

In my own catch-up, I have also been greatly enjoying the bond between Rocco and Gio. And Rocco showing how much backbone he has...and he was the nicer kid out of the current youth set.
