For most of Jason Brooks’ run as Peter, Mark Valley was playing Jack. Did Jason Brooks and Matt Ashford ever share any scenes in the past?

Ashford and Brooks overlapped for about two months in fall 1993, but I don't think they interacted -- or, if they did, it was only in passing. Jennifer only got involved with Peter after Ashford's Jack left town, and Jack's return as Valley was tied into realizing that Jen was with Peter.

Say what you will about Cady McClain, but if she were still playing Jennifer, we could've gone there again with her and Peter.

Perhaps. Alas, we have to memory hole the whole damn thing and forget about DAYS making even the most oblique references to it, all because Miss Chick-Fil-A is afraid her fundamentalist hubby will get riled up again. (I mean, it's not even Jason Brooks playing him this time, and we STILL can't talk about it!?)

I would understand if she were a contract player but she's a recurring guest at this point; surely, if they were able to secure Brooks back, they could have filmed his stuff without her being there, no? Especially if they're ten months tape-to-air. 🤣

Exactly. But, like I said, Brooks isn't playing Peter this time around; it's a new and different actor. Are the Reeveses afraid she'll be tempted to stray again, because he's playing the same character? I don't get it.

Who knows; perhaps she felt more needed on her family's farm, or wherever they reside where she feels safe to eat Chick-Fil-A, etc.

Then again, with Corday still there, who knows?

I think Ken Corday is the type who could be talked into just about anything.

This is a small detail, but how are Rachel and Sophia allowed to be in the same ward? Sophia is an adult. Even if Bayview has a skeleton crew right now, you would think they'd separate the adults from the kids at least.

The longer this goes on, the more holes in the story.

Being in the same ward is a problem. So it's all the time Rachel spends with Sophia. Are there no cameras? No supervision? No one wondering what they do together if Sophia doesn't speak? It's ridiculous.

-- Couldn't EJ do a FaceTime with Sydney instead of going to Italy? I don't know why I should care about her unless there's some story coming from it.

-- WAY too much Stacy Haiduk the past 2 days, especially Susan, who I wish they'd send off into the sunset.

-- Glad to see Johnny's career change, but I hope they do something with Chanel's pregnancy. I hate the babies rabies stuff. Is that all she cares about?

-- Leo and Javi are insufferable. I can't stand either of them. Their love affair is cheesy and cutesy and cliched in the most awful ways, and there's nothing romantic about them. Their scenes are torture, especially when Leo constantly works in his pet nicknames for other characters.

-- I hope Peter is back to normal soon, because they haven't given me enough to care about him living it dying to this point.

Sophia screamed today when Rachel blew that whistle or whatever at her while she was sleeping. She's not very good at this non verbal stuff. What if a nurse made a loud noise?

Sydney having panic attacks over EJ's 2 minute kidnapping seems weird. EJ was shot and we heard nothing about Sydney's issues.

There is no explanation for Susan's continued presence. She has a home and a husband in Nashville or somewhere. Why is she still hanging around?

It could've been a great story! Peter returns and is still in love with Jennifer. Organic conflict for Jack and Jennifer.

I know MR has played Jennifer almost the entire time, but I really, really enjoyed CM in the role. I thought she breathed some new life into it. Plus, she may be available full-time. If Cady were playing it, they couldn't gone full steam ahead with a Jack/Jennifer/Peter story.

Cady lives in New York. Her main job is that she is the artistic director of a theater there. She also teach acting classes. She pops into Atlanta occasionally to tape appearances for BTG but otherwise she's usually in New York.

Cady said she was fully open to continue appearing as long as they wanted her, but it's clear: Corday wanted Miss Chick-Fil-A.
