But wasn't that weird today how she called him her son, and then had to clarify... just left me feeling like she wants more from him...

I think the kid playing Rocco is really good. His facial expressions and mannerisms are good and timely, if that makes sense.  Better than the kid playing Danny.

No, it's weird.  Britt stole Lulu/Dante's embryo and had Rocco to hold on to Robin's husband Patrick.  There was nothing maternal about it even if she did raise him for a few months before her scheme unraveled.   She was a surrogate to Rocco due to criminal behavior.  She has no right to say anything about Rocco at all.

Until this current return Britt has never even shown any concern about Rocco since she had to give him up to due the whole breaking the law and denying any autonomy to Dante/Lulu regarding their embryos.

Britt has been so completely unlikable, and it's all punctuated by her feelings that Rocco belongs to her.

GH seems to be invested in Britt, yet clueless that she needs to be someone we don't actively detest.

Britt can randomly have feelings for Rocco.  That's on her being a bit crazy.  People validating those feelings like she's not crazy and has a say is the problem.

I agree with that, but those people are not going to feel the brunt of viewer attacks.

It's odd because the writing is almost making it a soft retcon.  Like Britt did this out of the kindness of her own heart and was maternal?  The facts still remain the same, but people in PC are acting like Lulu/Dante are being unreasonable.

Yeah, it's almost like the writers, not Frank, don't want her there at all.

I'm glad they're revisiting the Ric thing today, because I've been confused as to why there was no follow-up from Ava/Alexis kidnapping/drugging him for that long.

Because they knew they had an intriguing story with characters (other than Kristina) that the audience like and it would take away from the faves so we can't have that. So of course...they ended it abruptly.

Finn has been great as Rocco

I mean it as sincere praise when I say he’s great at looking like he’s genuinely about to throw up.

Imagine striking gold with the Rory Gibson as Michael casting and then pairing him with this Jacinda girl.

It would stand out for me more if there were other romances burning up GH, but it's a show-wide problem.

Very.

The way Sidwell deadpanned "you don't have a son" to Britt was perfection.

I absolutely loved it. FINALLY another character that’s not entertaining this bull. I don’t remember a single time when I was watching after Rocco went back to his real parents, Britt pining away for him or calling him her son. I don’t know why the writers are so damn insistent on this but again this regime generally doesn’t believe their audience remembers anything or cares.

The best thing Sidwell has said his entire run 😂

There was a way to write this Britt/Rocco bond if GH felt it had to and believe me, I don't think Britt should be within 10 feet of that boy.

Rocco could have felt left out or neglected because of Lulu's focus on Charlotte and learned the truth about Britt.  Britt and Rocco could have slowly started to interact with Britt even trying to keep her distance, but ultimately being someone Rocco would vent to.  There was no need for proclamations from the Obrecht clan or Britt herself that she was his "mom" and the relationship could have developed naturally.

But of course, GH went in the opposite direction, and I don't think any viewer enjoys this story.

When Britt “died” three years ago the only character she had even a wisp of maternal feeling for was Spencer.

Because the show likes to pretend Spencer (and Nikolas for that matter) never existed, I feel like they’re just transposing that aspect of her character to Rocco.
