The show is sorely lacking another male in the Tate-age range. He's the only one! And, there's no one for Ari at all!

Tate's roommate is Aaron Greene, brother of Cat.

Not a great option, just a comment that Tate does have male chums.

I enjoyed the fallout from the press conference, even though it was a bit of a mistake that Philip and Xander couldn't be there for Tony's announcement. I don't see why the writers had Victoria's birthday party take place at the same time. Philip and Xander have a much bigger stake in all this than Alex does. But I am interested in seeing where everybody goes from here... and if we get another court battle lol. Now that Alex has been clued in on the fraud, he adds another interesting dynamic to this storyline. As much I'd prefer Philip vs. Xander, I also wouldn't mind Philip/Xander vs. Alex, and the conflicts that it could possibly bring to their relationships with each other, Stephanie, Sarah, etc., especially since Alex and Stephanie had another argument that was really good. Plus, it's been nice to see Stephanie not be such a doormat anymore.

Btw Alex, it's Dimera, not Damarea 😂😂

And although, I wasn't a fan of Sarah bringing up Xander beating Philip again, I appreciated the fallout from that too. I like how Maggie comforted her, and I thought Lindsey Godfrey did a good job too.

I also enjoyed Chad and Theo's reunion. They've always had a good relationship and it was nice seeing them catch up about everything. Still too soon to judge about nuTheo's acting.

But yeah, Gabi and Leo don't need to be BFFs

Alex already knew about the fraud though. He was part of Sarah's cover up. Even pretending that Philip was having an affair with Stephanie to fool Xander

I like the new Theo so far. I think his scenes with Chad had a subtle nod to his autism, and was happy they had a good reunion scene. But here's me thinking poor Jonah when it comes to the running of his favourite uncle. There was talk of who Arianna might be paired with and with her move to Titan, it's probable to me that her and Theo will be cross paths. An obvious obstacle already potentially on the cards will be all the Titan/DiMera business drama, especially when Theo becomes CEO (speculation, but come on!), and probably fired from Titan for her disloyalty.

I did hate that the second Kate left, Tony appeared without them crossing paths. We desperately need to see him in scenes with people that debuted on the show prior to this millenium, please and thank you.

I legit lol'ed with Gabi's line to Tony today: Do you know how hard it is to follow someone that walks as fast as you do in stilettos? Hilarious.

I still can't stand Abigail Klein as an actress. I literally hate the way she speaks and exists. It's so ... rigid and monotonous. I was rooting for Alex to chew Stephanie out just for some excitement, but also because RSW excels best when he's playing an ass.

Yeah. I forgot 😂

When it comes to monotonous, I think Rachel Boyd has her beat 😂

And agreed that RSW did well today. Being the ass or the villain really is his style, and I wouldn't mind Alex taking a darker turn either. He never worked as the good guy/hero/romantic lead that Ron wanted him to be.

Agreed.

As much as like the little nerd, I can't see him as a romantic rival of Tate's 😂

I don't think Abigail Klein is bad.  But I secretly root for her because I loved her on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading show.  She missed her prom to make the team! 😂 But, honestly, like @AbcNbc247 said Rachel Boyd exists on the show so AK doesn't look bad.  RSW has weirder acting ticks than AK.

nuTheo works for me.

I wasn't sure on his Day One, but these scenes with Chad were really strong. Maybe it was Billy Flynn making him feel comfortable, but  he seemed very natural and authentic.

I think Rachel Boyd is absolutely the worst, but she's objectively bad, whereas I think my distaste for Abigail Klein as an actress is my own thing, though I think everyone can agree she's really nothing special, but that's a big issue with soap castings nowadays. Anyway, I've stated by opinion so I won't go on about it, but just know whenever she is on-screen, I am not liking it. 🤣

I get that.  I just think Stephanie is sort of a mess of a character and AK doesn't really know what to do with that.   AK is probably too limited to make Stephanie work with all the backstory and all the things the character juggles that rarely make much sense.  I do think she works well with MBE and SN as her parents though.

WTG, Brady! 👍

I loved seeing him lay down the law about his awful child. I know I've said it before but seeing him act like a mature adult has been so refreshing. He's finally able to be an important part of any storyline, and also, to carry on an in-depth conversation with characters like Marlena. I liked the way that she counseled him today. By writing him like this, in this storyline and in the DNA test storyline, he's becoming the perfect character to carry on John's legacy.

Speaking of the DNA test, I'm really interested in seeing how that's going to play out though and if they're going to do what we've all suspected from the beginning.

Chad and Thomas were good together too. They're really believable as father and son. I wasn't sure about all the Cat propping though, but at the same time, I wasn't completely against it either. I just feel so indifferent to this character. So often, her scenes do nothing for me and today was no different.

I also enjoyed Sarah and Xander's scenes. Writing them like a classic supercouple was the right decision and I hope this continues, especially if they do go there with her and Brady. And if they decide to temporarily pair Xander with somebody else. I wonder if Xander lying to Sarah about beating up Philip, and Sarah accepting the lie, is going to mean something at some point.

I actually have no problem with Xander playing it cautious with Sarah. She has proven time and time again that she can switch on a dime from reasonable to insane. I feel like he knows the Philip beating will be an issue but he did not want to have that conversation in the hospital lobby. The Xander who spoke to Marlena later was very self aware and hopeful about reuniting with Sarah but not completely certain, that is because he knows he needs to have that talk with her before they can fully move on.

I'm willing to accept the stakes as presented, but may I just scream into the void that:

  1. Splitting the Dimera/Titan merger after three months shouldn't affect the viability of its subsidiaries like Basic Black.
  2. You can't get a DNA sample from a toothbrush, and seemingly it would be easier to find some of Tate's hair.
  3. How is Steve a PI if he's never heard of 23 & me?
  4. Philip's fake claim to the estate could be prosecuted as a fraud against the Kirakis estate.  But, it would the duty of the Dimeras to have done their due diligence to determine fraud before the merger/buyout.  And the fact that they didn't could open the board to civil claims from the Dimera stockholders, but it has nothing to do with the actual transaction. -- Think about it, even if Philip was a fraud, how would that fact have a negative effect on the Dimeras which would have effected their ability to profit from a leveraged buy-out?  One could argue Dimera got the highest price they could, and Titan's ability to buy Dimera would not have been effected either way by Philip's fraud.
  5. This is still America, parents don't lose their rights simply because they are convicted of a crime.  In cases like this, a social worker would transport Rachel to see Kristen, and supervise their visits to maintain the connection.  It would be illegal for Brady to withhold Rachel from Kristen, who had full legal custody prior to her conviction.

Now back to the show about magical bookstores and psychiatrists who have dreams of being Queen of the Night.😉🙈

Welcome back, Anna!

I liked seeing her go head to head with Kate. I think both of their perspectives are an important part of the whole business storyline and I hope that we continue to see them. We do need to see Kate more, but I'm glad that she's basically back in her element now. I didn't mind her being a waitress at the Pub but at the same time, it didn't feel that right either.

I also enjoyed seeing the college kids acting like college kids today. Holly being kinda douchy makes a lot of sense to me and it does play into her character lol and it could lead to some good drama. I'm glad that she has Ari to confide in though, and that Ari is there to give her the advice that she needs, but I hope she doesn't listen to. I do kinda wish that Doug III was still around though. He could've added another interesting dynamic to all of this. And yeah, whoever posted that maybe they should've added a coffee shop or something into the bookstore is 100% correct. I like seeing the set be put to use, but for Ari and Holly to just go there and hang out there was kinda weird. I love bookstores myself, but I don't hang out in them 😂

Btw, poor Aaron, but I figured that he and Ari never had a chance though😊😂😂

As for Tate, I've always had mixed feelings about his plan, but Ari running into Sophia as she left Tate's room could lead to something interesting happening
