Ted, NOOO!  You can't come back from this haha. But I do love Leslie, so loved watching her get to him.

I see a lot of people saying he cant come back from this and I don't agree. A lot of real life and soap couples ha r found their way back after a ton of mistakes

I not going to watch the rest of this episode live.  Not worth it.  Life is too short.

Coming from you, that's not a good sign for the show.

I saw the opening scenes with Nicole and Smitty and enjoyed them, but had to step out and missed the rest of the episode.

Having June working at OG's is a good first step to her reclaiming her life, but I think having it revealed that she was the bio mom of Samantha and Tyrell came too quickly and should have been held off until later episodes.

With that said, I'm confused as to why Samantha would just go to June for advice when she has Anita, Nicole, Kat, Naomi, and Chelsea to talk to about guys.  And even so, I think she would want to seek out a hetero male perspective so I could see her going to Jacob and/or Andre to get the guy perspective.

I would have bought Pamela as Smitty's aunt and/or older worldly sister... not his mother.  And given that she is flamboyant and over the top..... I could see Smitty being a bit standoffish with her.

Originally, Ashley had also had ties to Eva and Silk Press Sheila so I'm not sure why those ties were forgotten after the first handful of episodes.  Perhaps Eva/Ashley will interact with one another one day... if Hayley/Caroline can resume friendship scenes.. I don't know Eva/Ashley couldn't either.

Derek is basically an island with no ties whatsoever.   I would have tied him to Vanessa as a relative from the poor side of the family tree since it had been established that Vanessa came from money (hence why she found Doug to be appealing since he came from the wrong side of the tracks).

For some reason, why the writers can't do for Ashley/Derek/Smitty/Jan what was done with Vanessa's character still baffles me.  Like previously said, she is good friends with Vanessa/Dani.. her job ties her to the community and allows interaction with new arrivals, and she has a lover & hubby.. plus kids that can be introduced down the line.   Why those connections couldn't have been built/posted for the other non-black characters (including Tomas and Caroline), I'll never understand.

Unless the fact that Vanessa was originally meant to be an African American character could be why she has development and connections on the canvas.

Well, to be fair, I had been enjoying BTG since its inception.

I can deal with Ashley being annoying because I can fastforward her without it having much impact.

It's just the Leslie stuff that I find awful. LeslieDana is so intertwined with the canvas-- that when I skip over her scenes, I have to read the recaps to follow what the other characters are reacting to.  I just find Leslie overthetop insane and having *way* too much influence on the canvas for my taste.   I used to like Eva but her constant support of Leslie makes me dislike her now.

I enjoyed the Nicole-Smitty scenes at the start of the episode, a lot!  I do think the show is great overall.  I just cannot take Leslie.

I enjoy Leslie for the most part. I'm not surprised sadsack Ted fell back in bed with her. Even if his read of the Duprees last week was spot-on.

Glad someone else sees the potential in Jen Jacob; it is just obvious the writing for Ashley does not benefit her enough.

A GOOD actor or actress can OVERCOME bad material and she hasn't done that so IMO there's not really any potential, 6 months later and still she gives us nothing

were that it be. unfortunately when the material is this bad for this long, not even the best actor can make it work.

I don't buy that at all lmao. She gives them literally nothing to work with. Even people like KM can't elevate her

I think the writing for Ashley could be a lot better. But it would take a lot at this point to make me want her around. I don't.

Not me taking up for her but it truly is the writing for Ashley. I didnt mind Jen Jacobs when they had Ashley play supporting to the Naomi/Hayley story and most of those hospital scenes when her love life was not the focus. The Andre/Derek triangle just aint it. I dont like Ashley and wouldnt mind her being dropped BUT if she must stay they can pivot her in a new direction bc the actress is fine. There is nothing about the character herself that is currently likeable. A new actress will not change that

And we deserve to have good writing and good acring. Like look at Ted. Keith is a much better actor than Maurice but the writing has gone downhill and despite being a better actor, he cant and does not elevate the writing bc the character is written horribly. The actor before wasnt great but the writing for him was better and overall most people enjoyed that

I don't think the writing was any different for Ted before. It was frankly the exact same level of surface for him lol. Keith's Ted just projects weaker while the character is equally sad and pathetic.

IDA. I think Ted had more of a backbone and he was more proactive before. He's lost that fire and has become a passive individual that has no fight or drive in him
