Absolutely. Grace could've also gone to the Forresters for curing Taylee's BHS. It's revolting. Yeah, it's obvious Brad loathes POC:

1. Grace/Reese

2.  Li - unstable, unethical (Finn/Lunacy), indifferent wife/mother and violent (Poppy + Jack separately in her office). Such a disgrace.

3. Poppy - even though same age as Finn, she's portrayed as a predator and, retroactively, as a horrible mother.

4. Lunacy

All cast with excellent actors and utterly wasted usually to push a ridiculous plot point further or to fix a messy story that should've never happened.

OC, we saw what happened after they finally *elevated* Karla Mosley into a leading lady after years of middling... this is B&B.

Poppy is NOT the same age as Finn, she's a lot older

Yep Brad loves to make the POC the actual villains the actual villains to be saints. Look at Sheila

Roma is 39, Tanner is 38. B&B manipulated their ages to fit a disgusting narrative. The whole premise was wrong on so many levels, but they are definitely doubling down. I'm sure we'll see a Thanksgiving with SINN hosting Lunacy, Poppy and Sheila!

Was Grace wrong? Of course.

But the optics of Hope slapping Grace -- a white woman slapping a Black woman -- made me cringe and wince.

Is there NO ONE at B&B who's not completely blind and ignorant when it comes to race???

LMAO, Bell bending over backwards to keep the longest running (only?) Asian family ever on soaps is proof he hates POC?

Li is many things, an indifferent mother is not one of them. None of her shady actions are that different than what Stephanie has done.

Poppy is no more a predator than Rick or Ridge.

Luna has been written into a corner, but the show clearly values her as it is finding ways to extend the character's shelf life while accommodating the actress filming other projects. A luxury given to Sheila but not to other psycho's like Morgan or Ally.

IMO, the Nozawa's (especially Li) are the best new characters since Quinn & Wyatt.

What's the alternative, not letting Black actors perform in juicy scenes? It would have been funny for Grace to slap and back and say "what do you have to be mad about, your life got better from all this."

That's the actors ages and not the characters. Romy is 44. They aged up Finn by like two years, his original DOB was 1989.

They even said ONSCREEN that Poppy was OLDER

You can't make a direct comparison between the actors' ages and the characters' ages. Personally I've always thought that Poppy was at a minimum 10 years older than Finn.

So the Black character has to get slapped by a white character to make the scene juicy?

There are plenty of ways to write juicy without resorting to racial tropes.

I honestly don't think there was any racial intention behind the scene in question. B&B has a history of being very "generous" with slaps, and it's not unthinkable for Hope to react that way towards a woman who put people she loves through pure hell. I know though that B&B doesn't have a very good track record with people of colour (or minorities of any kind really) and that is something they definitely should work on.
