Need To Know
Every daytime broadcast program showed year-to-year gains among Total Viewers.
“General Hospital” averaged more than two million viewers for the fifth time in six weeks, marking its longest streak since at least March 2024.
“NBC News Daily” and “TODAY 3rd Hour” marked new season highs among Total Viewers and posted the largest year-over-year gains across daytime broadcast.
Excluding 2023 (figures were not available at press time), most daytime broadcast shows attracted more viewers during the week of February 2-6, 2026, than during the comparable week in 2025, 2024, and 2022, and in some cases, 2021.
Among the scripted dramas, "The Young and the Restless" (3.369 million) saw the smallest week-to-week decline among Total Viewers (-47,000), and attracted its second-largest audience of the season, behind only the previous week (3.369 million vs. 3.416 million). "Beyond the Gates" (1.738 million) attracted its second-largest audience of the season, behind only the previous week (1.738 million vs. 1.859 million), and its third-largest audience ever. The soap opera, which will celebrate its first anniversary later this month, was up +6,000 viewers from the year-ago average performance of two half-hour repeat episodes of "The Price is Right" (1.738 million vs. 1.732 million). Demographically, the drama series tied for last place among Women 18-49 (0.13 rating) and ranked last among Women 25-54 (0.21 rating), tying its season and series low in the latter demo.
"The Bold and the Beautiful" (2.945 million) also held up well among Total Viewers compared to one week earlier, down just 48,000, and attracted its second-largest audience of the season, behind only the previous week (2.945 million vs. 2.993 million). Compared to the same week last year, the half-hour soap opera was up +271,000 viewers. In Women 18-49 (0.24 rating), the series was No. 1 among soaps, flat with its week-ago and year-ago performances, and +0.02 ahead of "The Young and the Restless."
For the fifth time in six weeks, “General Hospital” (2.185 million) averaged more than two million viewers, marking the show’s longest streak above that threshold since at least March 2024. The long-running soap opera attracted its second-largest audience of the season, behind only the previous week (2.185 million vs. 2.286 million). Compared to the same week last year, the series was up +265,000 viewers (2.185 million vs. 1.920 million). Among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating), the series was flat week to week.
“NBC News Daily” (1.579 million) marked a new season high among Total Viewers and saw a week-to-week gain of +25,000. The news program was up +28% compared to the same week last year (+349,000), while attracting its largest overall audience since the week of January 6-10, 2025. Also performing well was “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” (1.603 million), which, after four weeks, tied the season high performance of its predecessor, “TODAY with Jenna & Friends,” among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating).
