Ron was terrible at writing DID at DAYS, terrible and insulting.   I don't want Ron writing any mental illness stories for anyone.

I have a grave concern then, because if we make a list of the stories he was terrible at writing, I'm not sure we will have any left. Mental illness, no, diversity, god no, humor, omg no, mystery/whoddunnnit, do I have to say it? Okay, get serious, what is it that he CAN write? Answers are being solicited.

It's been said that there is no one who wants to take on Y&R. Maybe now that Ron is available and is known to Sony, they might offer him the gig.

Y&R is so bad right now I'd be prepared to see what Ron would do.

I feel like Josh is already a low rent version of Ron. Stuff like Aunt Jordan, Martin/Alan, and whatever this is with Cane are in Ron's wheelhouse but on a low budget. Ron might have more in jokes and references though.

We know what he'd do: rapemances, masks, DID, and you just know he'd give Sharon or Mariah two of the 3 of those

We haven’t heard the last from Ron, and no he is not going to Y&R. It was his choice to help BTG launch, per MVJ and you can clearly tell that she appreciates his contribution to BTG. His next venture will be exciting.

Could you imagine if ABC has seen all the hype with BTG for being labeled "the black" soap and decided to launch their own show under the hype of the first "gay" soap? It would be petty, but hell, if it adds another soap, I'm good.

I would love to see that.

I’m happy for what Ron is doing next. This board may not care for it, but Ron is moving forward. I wish him the best!

This makes me feel like his next gig is outside of the soap world which I wouldn't be totally opposed to.

I never thought he'd be at BTG long. I always felt like it was a way to get on CBS' radar so he could potentially get a Y&R gig since that is the only other soap available for him to HW. I wouldn't be opposed to it after all we've gone through. At the very least, I don't think it would be boring which is the biggest problem I've had with JG.

Oddly Ron C wasn't too much of an issue in his position of being a breakdown writer because he wasn't the main decision maker.. he was just implementing the decisions/plot points set forth by the head-writers.

I'll be interested to hear who the replacements will be for these positions in the coming weeks/months since the other two leaving were pretty good in their positions.

Ron’s doing his own soap. The next logical step. He’ll do great.

I don't think we know for sure that they will be replaced. Ahead of time when something about them intentionally overstaffing, sounded temp to me.
