I can't believe it took you years to come around on Brenda!!😂

Anyway, I can actually see why Brenda and even early Carly would know better, but still have hope.  They probably thought Sonny would get out long before he was 60 and had kids and grandkids.  It may have been naive, but I never really thought Sonny made it clear this was his life's business forever back then.  More of means to an end.  Current Carly should know her raging and pleading will do nothing.  Her own son died and she still chose to procreate with him and marry him again.  So she can claim how upset she is and how awful it's been and whatever, but last year she just helped Sonny cover up Jagger's murder so this is on her too. She's always been a willing accomplice. It's only when she decides it directly affects her she cares.  Carly will be back on Team Sonny in a few weeks.

I know Brenda would probably be co-signing Sonny's crap if she was still on the canvas.  At least she got the truth out of Sonny and realized she needed to leave for herself and her child.

I totally forgot she just helped him cover up the murder of a Federal agent last year 🤦🏽‍♂️

I never had a chance to come around on Brenda. My intro to her was the awful Balkin story and that really weird damn laugh VM kept randomly doing.

Immediately jumped into help Sonny cover a murder by saying she slept with him!  So she's not against covering up a murder but also willing to embarrass herself publicly by claiming to have sex with Sonny.

Well, if you only saw Brenda's last return I can see you not coming around.  It wasn't my favorite.  90's and her 2002 return are excellent.

Unless something ever happens to Donna I don’t see her ever getting off this merry go round where she pretends to be so against his lifestyle and then glorifying it the next. But honestly Michael got shot in the head as a child and that didn’t matter either 😂

Morgan died and she didn't come around.

At least when Michael got shot Carly was with Jax and he was telling how suicidally stupid she was being.  Jax was still the 'heavy' in the triangle, but it wasn't a super villain preaching how awful was.  Jax was coming from a realistic place with good intentions.  Every character on the show now that hates Sonny is obviously wrong.

Ugh I genuinely loved Jax and Carly. And the fact that Carly still got back together with Sonny after he tampered with Jax’s plane to kill him 🤦🏽‍♂️ honestly there’s just too many reasons why this conversation was stupid lol

I don't mind if characters like Sonny. It's better to just cut to the chase rather than having characters give big righteous speeches about him which go nowhere.

The problem is the show always needs to make sure we know characters love Sonny more than they love anyone else.

I also think Carly would have been more interesting if they had kept her mob involvement where it was for Sarah Brown's first few years - not caring, and at times even thinking she should have some power (which she would not known what to do with). One of my favorite Carly scenes back in the day was around the time of Brenda getting shot in the arm, when Carly made some kind of mob decision and Jason got pissed at her.

The way this new actor playing Michael can and does cry on camera is like the sexiest thing ever! 😂  Love that he appropriately teared up twice since debuting on the show.  He's got great chemistry with the whole cast and I cannot wait to see him have a great big, messy soapy romance.  He is such a good actor!  Probably the best actor on the show currently.

The worst actor is the guy playing Gio.  His overacting, goofy mugging for the camera is so embarrassing.  Sometimes it's unintentionally hilarious like the shock-face he did when Kristina fell out the window into the pool or today when he called Sonny "grandpa" (you can tell that was such a gut-punch to old man Maurice 🤣 ).  But unless the show's going to use him for comic relief, they need to stop giving him dramatic angst because the caliber of acting he's doing is more befitting of the worst soap ever (Passions).  I cannot believe some people were comparing him to a genuinely good (and good looking) actor like Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer).

This Cody-Liz-Ric-Ava thing could be so good if they dialed up the comedy a little bit.  Hopefully there's more hilarious angles to this.  All 4 of those actors, especially Josh Kelley, can do excellent work.

The Jordan-Portia feud fighting over Curtis finally made Portia semi-interesting, but the best part is Dr. Gannon who definitely needs more story.  He's my favorite hospital character currently (until Britt comes back...hopefully they have a romance!).

The Drew-Kai dynamic is way more interesting than the Ava-Trina dynamic.

Of course the friendly mobster is the only family member Gio wants to be around 🙄.

I hate to say this, but I'm really starting to believe that Mo purposely uses his bipolar disorder as an excuse to run GH like it's his own personal kingdom

Okay, not that I think that is impossible or anything like that, but what is it that you think he is getting out of this presumed power? The only thing I am aware of that he really really really wants is for the network to get behind State of Mind which they have routinely declined to do ....

She had no choice when that happened. Michael, who I wanted to kill, threw her under the bus. He said, it's not a problem. Mom's at the house right now. & so she really had to, not wanted to.

She sure talks about it often enough. Seems to me it bothered then & it still does now.

Let's ask Patrick Mulcahey 😂😂

Today was the 5th or 6th Friday in a row where there was no cliffhanger.  The Friday shows are usually decent in content, but Rocco writing an email and Kai/Trina breaking up isn't going to make people tune in on Monday.

Is the show behind a day or something?  Because besides last week when Rocco went to confront Lulu all these Friday shows these last few weeks would have been better as mid-week episodes.

Sure. Great idea. I love Patrick. Also I do not think Mo had anything AT ALL to do with what happened to him. I'm surprised that you do.

Finally, Laura was used effectively!

Her scenes with Rocco today practically made up for that Sonny BS that we all had to endure this week 😂

Idk who's side to take in the Trina/Kai breakup because I like them both lol and because all this Drew stuff is too blatant but I wouldn't mind seeing Trina get closer to Gio in the aftermath of this breakup.

And, I will always be Team Emma over Team Whore. I hope Emma destroys her!

That's my biggest take from today's show. It made me long for this Laura. The "Oh, Sonny, we will always be friends!" Laura is and will always be awful. Those scenes with Rocco were nicely done.

-- Chase looked sooooo good today. Thank you, Josh Swickard.

-- Guys (including Isaiah) should run from Portia. She's always on the rebound, always making wrong and impulsive decisions.

-- Are we supposed to be on Trina's side in her argument with Kai? Because I understand both of their points of view.
