Well it doesn't help that the target for a murder mystery...which has become THE running joke here...is currently on Drew's back.  But at that point it appeared to be on Ava's with her falling out with everyone that mattered to her. She was also pulling tricks on characters that she was not at all regularly interacting with like how Drew has been doing over the past year. Her finger was in so many story pies that people here and people online started to feel she might get killed off. And then there was that Maura West online chat where some of her fans noticed she was being uncharacteristically cagey which fuel the online rumor fire from what I recall.

I wonder if you counted how many times Sonny and Carly have had a version of this same conversation over the years what it would add up to?  200? 300 times?  And yet, very little has ever changed lol.

Well as long as they don't do what KKL and TK did once where they had the same conversation and it turned out to be an old script between them lol.

Maurice Benard was OK in his scene with Gio, but watching that scene with Carly was PAINFUL.

MB had no idea where he was or where he was going.

I thought MB was okay in the scene with Gio too, but it's a rehash of scenes he's had with his children/family members/girlfriends etc.  The whole it's too dangerous to be around me nonsense.

Sonny always says this stuff, but nothing ever changes. He never actually lets them go, they never walk away, more people get hurt or die and it's the same old thing. Tedious.

The only time I can ever recall Sonny being truly transparent was when he and Brenda divorced and he told her he craved power and was never leaving the mob.

15 years later it's the same old BS now with more children and grandchildren while acting like everything is under control and he might give power up.  It's tired.  It's boring. And Carly and Sonny have had the conversation 1000's of times.  Carly was better off just sending Sonny a voice note with her concerns.  It would have had the exact same effect.

Exactly. Which is why I keep bringing that scene (and Brenda) up, and it's not like I was one of their OG stans. It took me years to come around on Brenda in general. But that is the only reality that's penetrated his life in years, except for a brief interval last spring, or when Michael found out about A.J. ten years ago. Beyond that he and Carly have opted to live in a cozy fantasy world. And once upon a time Tamara's and even Sarah's knew better.

Nina and Ava's backstories are so wild I just ignore it all and enjoy the two together.  The actors do present a believable friendship.

I only ever saw people on this board bringing up Ava getting killed off. Never saw anything close to official about it.

I will say I was completely taken aback by Nina and Ava being besties when I started watching, but Maura and Cynthia have very strong friendship chemistry and it MS Nina that I remembered all the bad [!@#$%^&*] between them happening so I let it slide now.

It’s crazy, he’s had this same scene with Carly so many times and he still seemed completely lost.

I’m over Kai. Like completely over him and I barely even liked him before. I despise dumb ass characters that despite everyone warning them the person is terrible, they just dig in their heels to support them. I need all of this to blow up in Willow and Kai’s faces ASAP.

I can't believe it took you years to come around on Brenda!!😂

Anyway, I can actually see why Brenda and even early Carly would know better, but still have hope.  They probably thought Sonny would get out long before he was 60 and had kids and grandkids.  It may have been naive, but I never really thought Sonny made it clear this was his life's business forever back then.  More of means to an end.  Current Carly should know her raging and pleading will do nothing.  Her own son died and she still chose to procreate with him and marry him again.  So she can claim how upset she is and how awful it's been and whatever, but last year she just helped Sonny cover up Jagger's murder so this is on her too. She's always been a willing accomplice. It's only when she decides it directly affects her she cares.  Carly will be back on Team Sonny in a few weeks.

I know Brenda would probably be co-signing Sonny's crap if she was still on the canvas.  At least she got the truth out of Sonny and realized she needed to leave for herself and her child.
