Very morbid.  There was no emotional stakes to have her casket there without anyone at the memorial, so why bother?

I agree.  Lucas did look a bit desperate, but I think of him as a normal character.  He's not going against the mob everyday even if he is aware of Sonny's business.  That's how a regular person should react to that craziness.

Having a picture of Eva LaRue on a set so similar to Wildwind is odd and eerie for me. It feels all too familiar.

Sonny: I like Marco.

Me: So do I.

GH has a bad pattern of motherhood being so explicitly black and white. It's unsettling and feels like an agenda is being pushed.

I hate the way Gio treats Brook. I'm all for angst, but it's low-hanging fruit for him to whine that his birth mother didn't want him. As if he's a child who can't understand why a teenager couldn't be a mother? Moreover, he had a mother who loved him. It's blood or nothing with this show.

I think soaps have desensitized audiences to guns so much it’s hard to grasp characters having normal reactions like a normal person now and actually begging and pleading instead of threatening to kill. I thought Van played his desperation perfectly. Ryan Carnes was so low energy I don’t think these scenes would’ve worked with him. But I know I’m in the minority that didn’t care for him.

Rory plays dark and menacing towards Willow so well as Michael. Every day I’m more and more impressed by him. JG at Y&R truly is a hack.

Tracy blackmailing Nina was great as expected. I love Tracy as the head of the Quartermaines. And Sonny killing AJ is now finally being acknowledged regularly even though it seems no one cares when this is brought up because Sonny is the neighborhood friendly mobster. Even now I think we’re supposed to be on his side against Sidwell.

Loved the Tracy and Nina scenes.

Marco hits one of kidnappers over the head with a chair and he doesn't escape? Yeah right!

I hate Sonny. He needs to be killed off for good!

Carnes is definitely lower energy, but I can still see him playing those scenes just differently.  Van and Ryan have such opposite takes on the character of Lucas it's almost hard to compare.  I actually think both performances work though.  Van is still hit or miss for me on the emotional stuff, although I thought he was good yesterday.  And, no, there is no reason for Lucas to pull out a gun or threaten violence.  He's not that character.

It's hard for me to imagine Rory's Michael ever loving Willow.  Speaking of Willow does she ever actually work at the hospital?  She spent her shift fighting with Lucas, talking to Isiah, creeping on Michael and Sasha, then collapsed into a heap in Drew's arms.  She doesn't seem to do any nursing lol.

Well, I am not on Sidwell's side.  They both suck.  I find Sidwell more annoying than Sonny though.

For me at least the Sidwell  actor has an accent and seems committed in every scene

. That goes a long way for me against Sonny and MB.

Drew had the same idea I did last week about setting Michael up with an opioid addiction.  It would have been diabolical if Willow thought of it.

Everything else was pretty boring although I liked Sasha/Nina and Nina/Curtis.  Portia is just on my last nerve.  Is she planning on being under Drew's thumb forever and ever?  She's better off coming clean at this point and salvage whatever she can.

Well, I'm still playing catch-up, but she had some great scenes that came across as a villainess at the start of the month. Perhaps she will be the next person to go dark...which at this point...I wouldn't mind. It also might be the only reason for Curtis/Jordan to get back together since the chances of nuances for Portia's turn to the dark side would be non-existent outside of how BK is playing it.

I don't mind Portia going dark or even staying a heroine.  I just don't think she's going about this Drew stuff the right way.  Drew really can't expose Portia without exposing himself to some degree.  I hate her acting powerless.

I agree. At this point, Drew is doing so much that surely Portia can trip him up. Better yet...bring Ava back into it. Ava will surely stay having Trina's mama's back.

I also hate her being powerless as well. It's a waste of BR's talents. It's part of the reason I noticed the aforementioned scenes cuz BR was playing something different rather than weak, but she was also adding layers to what Portia was doing that I actually had her side though she was making her issues with Curtis worse.

I've been thinking. There have been dicussions of NotBritt, notaclone, notViki, notNathan, notMonica'srelative, notMizWu,.... so what if they just give the show a new name, NotCharles?

    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?

    • I am sure "no one cares" and it's not a big deal to some people, but this thread is full of certain posters calling out women's ages, their viability to have children at like 35, and their nail polish, but we celebrate everything Chandler Massey does and applaud any male shirtless scenes.  And then posters walk back being like it's just a joke and weren't serious lol.
    • I'm so glad she's still on the show. Seems like she may have dropped a hint about the real source of conflict between her and Dee, too.
    • I don't know how reliable the information is, but from what I've read, he joined GH in 1977, and Alan (who started airing in September 1977) was one of his creations. That should have been enough time to get the show in better shape by the January 1978 episode we saw, but then again, shifting from a 30 minute to a 60 minute format is a big transition, one that requires a lot of filler scenes like Monica having a long flashback to a scene that must have only played out a few weeks earlier.
    • I agree. She said, "I do," and then decided, "I don't." I wish Nikki Abbott had been a longer duration. I wholly prefer Nikki with Jack than I ever have with Victor, and today's episode proved that. And I never minded Ashley with Victor.
    • That one really bothered me. The chemistry was still very much there and then she married Jack and immediately ran off to find Victor. It was such a slap in the face to anyone that was a fan of the pairing.
