Bold was the biggest hit on television in my country in Europe when my mother was giving birth to me. She was watching the show while I was in her belly for months before that. It was her favorite show while pregnant with me. Years later she would say that... this is why I probably loved it so much. You know how some mothers believe that babies will remember and recognize songs and movies they heard in the womb, lol. We'll never know if that was the case but I really don't remember a stage of my life where I was not watching Bold.

These weren't my first soap memories, but my first memories of watching specific shows:

Y&R - Cassandra being tied up with the gun melting in hot ice aimed at her

GL - Reva bringing Samantha to the Florida Keys (and soon, driving off the bridge)

ATWT- Margo pulling Casey's plug.

B&B - Caroline trying to hide her cancer, and Ridge giving her the charm bracelet (as it turns out, the best work Ronn Moss ever did on the show)

God now I remember Sunset Beach airing on the TV and how I loved the intro as a little baby. Then the first thing I remember were some creepy jewels or something like that that killed people who wore them.

ED as Susan Banks at some point in the late 90s (DOOL) and thinking it was the most hysterical thing ever.

Also Passions early years with Charity being frozen alive and little Timmy and Julian Wizard of Oz storyline, all of Theresa’s antics.

Late 90’s/Early 2000’s NBC soaps is definitely where I started!

I always wondered how HBS would've played it.

The first scene that comes to mind is the original Rebecca on Passions on a park bench talking to maybe Julian? Passions was the first daytime soap I ever went out of my way to watch, though I loved prime time dramas in particular Dawson’s Creek.

My first memories of Days have to be Bo and Hope being attacked at that fashion show that I believe may have started the Salem stalker story? I’m not sure. But my love of Passions lead me to Days and this message board sometime in 2005.

I can’t  believe I’ve been posting here since I was 17 and now I’m 37. Blows my mind.

AMC: The murder mystery of Eddie Dorrance, Chuck & Donna. This was my first time watching any soap.

OLTL: Viki living in the carriage house, Ted Clayton sniffing after her, Tina & Johnny Drummond

GH: I caught the Luke & Laura phenom just in time. The first episode I saw was the one where Scotty fights Luke on Frank Smith's yacht, sending him overboard and starting their first on-the-run story.

RH: The original Joe & Siobhan, Jack being a widower with a toddler

EON: Gavin's dance studio, Sky & Martine

GL: I followed Larkin Malloy there so it would be the arrival of Kyle Sampson, John Bolger was the first Phillip I saw

But, actually, before all those, I was imprinted as a toddler, thanks to my mother watching AW, with the sound of Douglass Watson's voice saying "Rachel" and the image of the NBC peacock.

My first soap memory is from Y&R, when Victoria was hiding in a closet and saw Ryan having sex with Nina. I was waaaaay too young to be seeing that, but Grandma wasn't about to turn off the TV just because she was babysitting.

My first soap memories were around 2004-2005.

GH: Dr Asher Thomas injects Sam in the neck with a syringe while Jason and Sonny fire guns running up a staircase to chase after her.

B&B: A young Hope nearly drowns in a swimming pool

(both those events happened in the same week)

ATWT: an unconscious Parker sees his dad Jack in "heaven"

GL: a boy with some kind of "powers" communicating with a snake.

AMC: JR driving somewhere -- into a garage perhaps --- on a motorcycle.

Ah... Brooke's amazing parenting style.
