Man this hasn’t been a good year for soap deaths

RIP! I admit I’m more familiar with him as Jack Hamilton on B&B but I know GH is where most soap fans really knew him as.

B&B is also where I first saw Chris, and Jack was my favorite soap role of his. I don't think he was quite right for Rick Webber (too cold) and Jason Frame was a mess of a character. Chris worked well with Hunter Tylo, Darlene Conley and Susan Flannery, and was one of many who came and went through B&B they could have done more with.

Chris had almost a more dramatic life offscreen than on. He directed a number of cult movies in the '70s that are lost or partially lost. His son even made two documentaries about him.

RIP Chris Robinson- his Jason Frame was one of AW’s better villains.  Jason’s murder mystery was one of AW’s best- practically the entire cast was a suspect!

Chris did fine work at AW. Jason, a member of the Frame family, he was smarmy but you couldn't look away. For her birthday Felicia had this huge bash, complete with Derek playing the strong man, a room of mirrors, Anna Stuart back as Donna, the whole town was there. When Jason was murdered, almost everyone was a suspect.

It was really good soap.

I've seen him on Gunsmoke, Alfred Hitchcock Hour, and The Fugitive, all from the early 60s, playing young, out of control hotheads. Then in the mid 60s as a regular on 12 O'Clock High, playing a more square, heroic character. Then in the mid 70s on Cannon, back to playing a more evil, out of control character. He also directed a couple of episodes of Cannon. He had quite a career.
