Poor Johnny. 

But I really enjoyed the fallout from his arrest and the ripple effects that it had across the canvas today. Raven Bowens killed it again too. She played it so well, and honestly, so did Carson Boatman. Her going head to head with EJ is always good to see, even though I still think they're missing the mark in her and Johnny's storyline; their roles should be reversed.

And she also did really well when she found out that Paulina was the one who signed off on Johnny's arrest.

Surprisingly, I was also impressed by Rafe today. I liked seeing him stick up for Johnny, and rip Jada a new one lol who was a real nasty bitch today. Sometimes, she really annoys me and today was a perfect example of that. And it also showed us how ridiculous all that Fake Rafe crap was because they could've definitely written conflict for Rafe and Jada that came from the two of them, rather than ridiculous outside force.

Btw, congratulations Arianna!

It's too bad that Will is gone already but it was nice of him (or Sonny) to mail her high school diploma lol.

I mean it's silly to suggest ditching Marlena after the major real life losses on the canvas, but I actually think Deidre's acting is better than it was in the late 90's and early 2000's.  She more subdued and she stopped gasping and overreacting to dialogue.  I think her performances through John's disappearance/death have been much more grounded and realistic.

And this is from someone who loved her silly, overdramatic performances lol!

Totally hear you - Deidre is the heart of the show in many ways, no question. I guess for me it's less about her performance and more about the character's arc feeling a bit... done? Like Marlena’s already been through everything. Would love to see her pop in for big moments, like the legends do, but maybe it’s okay to let the next generation take more of the spotlight too? Just a thought, no heresy intended 😄

To me the problem is the next generation is not great?  And that's on Days and I have said they relied on vets for way too many years.

Deidre Hall could practically be my grandmother, but I wouldn't watch the show without Marlena.  That's specific to me though.  Marlena is Days to me and I slug along everyday with bad sets, bad wardrobe, blue lighting, and Peacock being a mess because I want to see my characters.  I don't think her arc is done.  She's just beginning a new arc post-John.  If Deidre, Susan, and Suzanne want to continue allowing us to watch them I am all for it.

If it was something innocent like someone got a cold that day, Colton would’ve said so.

IMO, Dee Hall & Susan Seaforth-Hayes, together, ARE the show. I hear that some fan thinks the character of Marlena should be rested & I go on to wonder what fan has lost their mind. And, do we need to help them into a wambulance Stet!??
