Very. I am sure it was established early on that they were, outside of their significant others so it is good to see them using that relationship to establish POVs. It really fell by the wayside.

I completely agree. A good example would be someone like Joshua Morrow or Ronn Moss although I think Maurice was miles better than both of them. He just fit the role so well and his charisma jumped off the screen. This recast will likely stick but it has sunk the character and I don't see him recovering. It seems like the original was more popular than they anticipated and the majority of comments I see online about nuTed are negative. I feel like people will get used to him being around but I don't see him regaining his popularity.

Wow...Silk Press Sheila really is giving the cray cray.

 

Now, Nicole, nothing wrong with amateur detective. Nancy Drew. Veronica Mars...and they are usually right. Love every minute of this NuTed, Nicole, and Kat conversation even if it is recap. I wonder if Nosy Nurse will get her moment given she's encountered Silk Press Sheila. 

 

Anita is C plot so far...and I don't care. Loving it.

Oooo so Tracy has some backbone. Niiice. Good. It is starting to make me wonder more what Sharon will be like. And who will be playing her.

Very much so. In their one scene together they actually felt like equals. 

Bingo.

He def feels like a supporting actor when he’s supposed to be the leading man in the A story. All of the women in the story actually have presence including both his daughters.

I’m resigned to the fact that I’ll have to get used to him just being there, but I get zero excitement about the character of Ted appearing now and I’m not sure how they fix it with this current meek portrayal.

Inspector Katget figuring things out again.  Now, let's be honest, if Ron Carlivati was the breakdown writer of this episode, you guys would've rolled your eyes at the ATWT reference.   LOL

Awww I admit that I like Ashley and Derek making up.

 

YASSSS Kat 'Veronica Mars' Richardson is on the case!!! And yeeesss to her going straight to Nosy Nurse. They stay playing all the beats.

 

Good cliffhanger!!!

tbf, if it was him, he would have been on the nose about it and in execution. This was done much more subtle which is why it will get more respect. At least with me.

 

NOW the comment about how Anita looks like Jessica on the other hand...is also in RC's playback and you are probably right for sure on that. How it was done got a chuckle.

I don't have a problem with NuTed as an actor, but I just have a HARD time buying him and Nicole as Martin's parents. They look waaaaaaaaaay too young. If Nicole and Ted met at a medical conference, they were already doctors. So, they had to be what...late late 20s at the earliest. Martin has to be in his mid-30s. That should put Nicole and Ted in their mid-60s. Physically, they, especially nuTed, appears to be close to Martin's age. NuTed the actor, good for him, just looks reallllly young for his age. I could slightly buy old Ted as Martin's dad, even though, yes, I know that MJ is actually younger than the actor who plays nuTed. I could buy Martin and NuTed as brothers but not father and son.

Of course, it's too late to change it, but Martin should have simply been Vernon and Anita's youngest child. It would have made all the timelines work better.

Leslie and Eva continue to be the standouts for me! I just find them so entertaining. I felt like the show had hit a lull right before the anniversary party, but ever since then each episode has been mostly entertaining, minus Ashley, that is.

I'm intrigued to know Anita's real backstory. She and Vernon have been portrayed as being soooo perfect. There has to be more to the story. Hopefully, now, we'll get some insight.

Eva just so happened to be at the casino the night of the accident? How convenient and this feels like something they just thought up when they should have established that she liked to gamble as a hobby at some point before last week

I did roll my eyes because I hate it when soaps refer to other soaps as soaps. I'd like to think that all soaps belong in the same universe. I hated when GL did it pertaining to Y&R during the Dolly clone story. I hated it today on BTG. 

Plus, it was a stupid throwaway line that made no sense. OMG. The breakdown writer and script writer knew Tamara Tunie was Jessica on ATWT. What do they want for it? A cookie?

      You have to stop and think: was Estelle the mother to all five children?  How many Mrs. Kendalls existed? Linda Cook played Aileen Kendall in flashbacks, but, at the time, we thought she was the only prior Mrs. Kendall.  It seemed that Aileen’s name was changed to Estelle when Domini Blythe came on.  But Lloyd (Peter Haskell) is said to be going through a divorce when he’s introduced (and when he’s pursuing Sunny).  To me, Aileen is Estelle, and the mother to all the children. The wife Lloyd is divorcing is inconsequential.

      Jibre/Jacob is moving to the top of my list. Such a likeable presence. Give Jacob/Naomi a home set! Ted's jacket ... Stating that Derek/Ashley have been together 2 years kinda undermines the story. If it had been say 6 months, then problems might be arising-but after 2 years?? The ATWT reference was cute-but of course Dr Nicole only knew about the show through patients-God forbid she ever watched it herself! Might have been cuter had she said she got hooked through patients and ended up taping it herself and watching it at home to unwind.

      Wasn't Taylor Miller still playing Nina during the period that Devon was on the show? She was also written out around the time Julia Barr left and Brooke was recast. I wonder if they brought her back because being the doomed non-Nina love interest to Cliff was something they didn't want to give to a woman they cared about, and they didn't want to create yet another Kennicott relation. Then having her for the Lynn Carson story also made sense because if there was intense viewer backlash, she could easily be written out.

      I also like how they've set up all the pieces where they could do yet another "shocking Gio parentage reveal" in another year or so if they want to. Because it's not at all implausible that teenage BLQ would have sexually experimented with both Dante and Cody. So if they want another violin-smashing moment next year, just have Gio find out that Cody is his real bio-dad.
