Well... Ari sure had a good birthday 😉😂😂

Even though I read the spoilers, I was a little surprised that Days went there Ari and Doug III. I won't say it's out of character for Doug III but I didn't expect it when he first heard it was happening. I'm interested in seeing where they go from here. I hope Tate finds out somehow and tells Holly about it. That could be a pretty good mess. But at the same time, their scenes felt rushed. We should have seen more of Ari and Doug III both at the Bar and at the Salem Inn 😉😂

Doug III looked hot though.

And Ari got to have scenes with Marlena too. I really hope that Days establishes a relationship between the two of them. I'd love to see it play out onscreen. And we got an update about Will and Sonny.

But again, all this talk about John 😥

I enjoyed the Holly/Doug III scenes too. I liked the way that she helped him today and comforted him about everything that happened with Julie. I'm curious to see how he's going to make things right with her.

Belle is dumb but I always love the sibling scenes between her and Brady. I like that they have each other to talk to about how messy their lives are. And I actually don't mind Belle being dumb. I actually find it to be pretty interesting. Surprisingly, she seems messier than Shawn. Btw, now I'm starting to wonder if Tate being sick actually is gonna mean something. Or if Leo Howard just needed some time off.

As for Shawn and Steve, their scenes didn't do much for me until the end of the episode. It set things up for tomorrow and I can't wait to see it. Brandon Beemer actually did a pretty good job too.

As for the final scene... Idk.

In general, per Jason47's productionschedule estimate, most of what's airing now would have been filmed in late August 2024.
But, as Jason himself would say, that's just an estimated average.

As we all know, DAYS stuff is filmed out of order by several weeks and sometimes months depending on availability of recurring cast, guest stars, or especially if there is a specific set they want to use for a bunch of scenes that will air at different times.

I remember seeing Eric M doing a fan video and in the background you heard Paul and Linsey being called to Victoria's bedroom. That was end of September. I think maybe even the 30th

I'm binging last week and I still find it so odd how different the show feels. Before I felt like each episode felt so long but the show is gliding by now. I'm on Thursday and it's crazy how real the characters feel. It doesn't feel like Days of Our Lives because I'm so used to everything being slapstick. It's definitely nice seeing layers to the characters now. I'm beginning to feel really confident about the coming months when the new headwriters can introduce their own stories.

Yep. Less slapstick (humor is welcome) and more drama.

 

Definitely have been busy, but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Though I am almost a month behind.

I admit that it's taking some getting used to seeing establishment shots on this show. But given that Y&R does that now, too, I guess I will.

 

And since it's been YEARS...At last...happy to see Dr. Marlena Evans again as I play catch-up.  

 

 

I love Xander but even I laughed when Brady set 'he has not terrorized our family for years'. Apparently trying to cook Eric, shooting Marlena, taking a hit job on Sami, kidnapping his child for a year and oh yes, shooting Brady himself is just Xander having a few larks with the fam. God Brady is stupid.

Sad to see "John" and know it is not really happening, but I am glad the world's slowest heist is wrapping up. There has been no urgency in this story.

For those worried about Tate, the actor got married and was on his honeymoon while this was taping.

Disappointed that this is Ari's first story.

I don't mind it lol but I'm sure it took people aback since Salem is so not Manhattan. 

I do not like today's cliffhanger.

One of two things seem to be happening here.  Either it's totally tasteless and they are going to play out John's death on screen in a crack den.  Or, it's that guy who had the hood over his head and was being held captive last month, and for whatever reason, they're going to refer to him as John Black.

I'm finally playing some catch-up today and I know that I wanted to come back to your comment. Since at the start of the writing change, I was in here for that brief discussion of the popularity of Xander/Sarah. It was just starting when I stopped regularly watching, but I've read enough recaps and like the idea of good (if neurotic) girl/bad boy to know what I like.

 

I knew it would be a hard sell given Xander's history, but I guess it's to the strength of the actor and actress (and how they look together) that I do like them. And the time jump I felt humanized Xander a little bit to give PT something to play with. I love LG from what I saw on B&B to be invested in neurotic Sarah as well as like her outside of the show due to her history and her romance with a certain Clueless actor at one point. 

 

So far from where I'm at...I'm loving their drama. I feel fully invested and they really work well together.

 

Now the other one...I believe it's Johnny/Chanel. I'm missed soooooo much of their drama. And I like they are backing away from a baby which is such a RC thing. I hope for more realistic drama for them. I'm not invested...yet...but I'm intrigued. And Well...CB has that bubble. lol. It is nice to see a YOUNG soap couple though.

I also love this as well. Shelle has been together, apart, together, apart so much that at this point...I would love to get to know Belle and Shawn as they are right now separately before they inevitably get back together so that if/when they do, it MAKES SENSE. And I'm GLAD Belle is not with Phillip. I like Shawn with Jada so far. And EJ and Belle just screams messy. I didn't jump on during Sami's last visit so I expect when she shows up again, she will have some more words. The potential is just sooo good.
