OK, I like the Cat interactions with Xander and EJ.

And, I get that there are new writers.

But, Clyde was shot 12/11/2024.  So, why have we not heard Xander or EJ's response to the situation for five months!  Clyde shot EJ (or he ordered him shot), shouldn't he react more to the news of his coma.  And, I've never heard EJ or Kristin mention that the woman who lived with them last summer was a fraud.

Rather than giving lip service to the idea of family and community, at least it feels like everyone no longer lives in a bubble.

Also, while it makes sense to use the hospital as the prize in the war between EJ and Xander.  We all have to admit that under the prior writer, at least Xander, and I think EJ, were dissuaded from buying the hospital went it started to go under in March.  I get the magic sepsis cure makes the hospital more valuable.  But, it seems like the people who are going to get rich are going to be the pharmaceutical companies, not the hospital.  I mean, do you think UCSD became rich from the Salk/polio vaccine? (No, they didn't).  Unless, Kayla and Sarah are going to start manufacturing prescription drugs out of the coffee machine in the lobby.  -- crud, I broke my promise to stop complaining about illogical this story can be.

Did anyone else notice less outrage from fans that University Hospital may close, versus the impassioned cries when the Horton living room was burnt down for two day?  I wonder if it reflects our overall dislike of the health care industry?

He is a 40 year old large grown man "raising his voice" and calling a teenage girl "careless".  That's inappropriate.  I am not going to argue at the octave of his voice although I would consider it yelling.  Felicity was visibly upset.  She also has special needs, but it would be wrong to do that to anyone in general.  Xander was out of line.  He didn't immediately apologize or admit he was wrong until Princess Sarah was okay. 

Idk, go find your wife's epipen instead of berating a young girl.  Or, you know, Sarah could have asked if there was any pistachio in her scone as a pre-caution.  That's how most people with allergies that severe order things.

I do think this story or plot point is silly, but acting like Xander did nothing wrong is just strange.  Even if Felicity DID do something wrong was he just going to continue to go on and on while his wife was going into shock?  That's the proper reaction lol.

It seems easy to be sympathetic that if a random man raised his voice to me at the mall today, I would not be appeased if he later went and apologized to my sister.

I like giving the character more to do, because there is a value in representing a person with a congenital disorder being employed, given that the unemployment rate in that community tops 83%.  I just hope they find a voice for the character that matches her functioning ability. 

As for Cat, I wonder if she is going to inherit any of Clyde's money?  And that was the reason for the phone call.  I know he's not dead, but he could have named her family as the beneficiary of some insurance policy if he were to be incapacitated.  And the call could have been an attorney trying to reach her to give her money.

I don't get the question on Xander's behavior either.  He was wrong and offensive. I like Xander.  I think Paul Telfer is great.  If Marlena did the same thing I would say she's wrong too.  Characters are imperfect and that's fine.

 

I'm not saying he was right. I'm just saying he wasn't screaming. I hope we see him apologize on screen.

Rachel doesn't bother me as much because she's a demon spawn.  

Felicity is strange on this.  It's not like she grew up with Cat, knows Chad well or really has any invested stake in the romance at all.

I caught up this past weekend. The show is better written, but I have been bored with the show.

I did notice it ranked in the top 5 again this week, so that's a good sign.

Even under the new writers, Jamey episodes are the shortest and the weakest

A lot of people were unnecessarily clowny and bitchy today. There was a lot of fluff and filler too. And the dialogue was a little… ehhh as well.

But welcome back, Kevin! It’s been a long time lol his return still seems really random but I don’t mind it. Philip’s actions make sense to me based on everything that’s happened to him lately and it could possibly set up more tension between him and Xander/Alex. And I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Kevin team up. I thought the actor did a good job too. Too bad that they couldn’t get Robert Benvenisti back though. I didn’t realize it in 2001 but he was hot 😂😂😂

And, we got the word that Arianna wants to come home. I’m looking forward to that, and seeing her relationships with Gabi, Marlena, etc. on display and I hope that

Slow burn episode leading up to the main event: Who will steal the drug first? I am hoping EJ connives his way into buying a money pit of a hospital and the drug ends up at TitanDimera.

I like seeing the votes being tallied for the hospital board, but so far I don't see any for EJ. Kayla, Kate and Brady, despite Kristen's attempts to control him, all are voting Titan. I am assuming Philip will blow the whole deal for them given the way Xander and Alex were talking today.

Alex and Gabi were far more entertaining that his sexcapades with Stephanie. A little conversation goes a long way. I like to see characters actually connect before they jump into bed, but that's just me. I am still hoping for Gabi and Philip if they are testing her with everybody. Guess the new writers were as bored with JJ as I was. Arianna coming back will be fun. Just in time for Aaron Greene to return for the summer perhaps? 

The tea party was a hoot. Just the two boys in their hats was worth the price of admission. Belle is obviously well aware that EJ kidnapped Mother Blake and does not care. As long as she is embracing her hypocrisy because EJ is great in bed I am good with it. Kayla was having none of her pitch though. Xander is definitely the lesser of two evils here.

For all those guessing Wee Rachel was the shooter. I think that story is commencing now they have ruled out Kristen, Ava, Gabi, Johnny, Roman and Kate
