An interesting twist would be if Leslie got a hold of the information. It has to come out at some point and Bill has to lose his leverage at some point too. Considering that she hates Ted and Nicole it would be great revenge for her to drop a bomb about their son.

Yep. That's the character though, she married super young, 3 years down the road hopefully she will appreciate the divorce.

I had the same thoughts about Nicole being the one to step out!

Yas! Sue Ellen was my favorite! I hope the writers look at the mistakes Dallas made and take Dani down a bigger path.

I absolutely agree with this! Her journey should be fun.

Correct. They definitely had their own Tom Hagen before Bill showed up. I would hope..

First, let me start on how much eye candy was on display. Andre and those velvet pants! Derek in the blue jeans with a little bit of wiggle. And Jacob and his everything. LOL. And then Jacob's father, too. Lord...

I'm starting to feel like every time I see Sara Bibel on breakdowns, I'm going to get plenty for me to chew on. Because there was a lot. And I believe the last time I felt that way, Lynn was with her. Or had been. Yes, it be night and day with her depending on breakdowns. But I can say that about Jazmen who is my favorite scriptwriter so far.

And can I say fashion was on point. I believe my standouts were Anita (she looked good in the leather pants!), Dani, and Andre. I really and truly want Vernon's winter jacket. He looked so majestic in it as Anita looked regal.

Is this the second time that Bill and Dani were in scenes alone with each other? Because the only time I can think of is right before the wedding. And this was very much like that in how Timon and Karla 'dance' with each other acting-wise. They bring out so many nuances and subtext going on even though as the scene goes from comedic to serious to vicious to back again. And there were just times when they both give so much in their body language and faces...no matter how subtle. There was literally one moment where Bill might have been saying he was not getting back with Dani, but how his voice was had room for doubt. Or there was a moment where Dani went from deluded to crystal clear serious in a literal second. That's just them separately feeding off their energy. And then...together? Just WOW. I already knew I would rewatch their scenes.

And then Andre and Dani. Hmmmmm...they are being everything I need them to be right now. Together, but not. Connected, but not romantic. The kind of relationship they are in does exist in the real world so it's nice to see it on a show. Would I like it to turn into love? Sure. But it doesn't need to be either. If it grows, great. If not, okay. But right now...in this moment...it's a needed thing between them and secretive, but adult. I'm probably not explaining it well, but I do like it. And I think somehow Andre will help her move on from Bill.

Other than Derek's blue jeans and the little moment where Ashley and he realized that Andre was leaving for a booty call, I wasn't feeling those scenes. Oh...and I liked Andre took Nosy Nurse's advice. Okay...and he is a lover of wine...which made me think of what you all mentioned earlier about if Andre happen to be a good cook. Or I'll go farther and say a chef...who would know what wine would pair perfectly with a specific meal.

I felt that Anita talking to Vernon this episode was very meta. Not only for Vernon's role as a politician and in civil rights, but in the fact of there being a black patriarch on a soap and her as a matriarch. A lot of us watched soaps when we were young and were inspired by some of who we saw right along with our mothers and/or grandmothers. So for a moment, it made me wonder if there were other young people (or younger) who might see that scene and have the same feeling. Just a great awww moment. Meanwhile, I loved how subtly crafty they were being throughout the episode.

I always love seeing Caroline.

Oooh...that's the product placement you all were talking about. How old school cute!

I love the use of flashbacks. Naomi's memory of Bill (can we get one of her with Hayley?) and Hayley's flashback of what Dani told her about 'past is prologue' were very well-done.

God, Tamara Tunie is sooooo good. She gives so many good background reactions and looks even when she is not the center of a scene (and when she is hehe), and it was really on display this episode and I loved it.

Hmmm...not sure how I feel about Jacob's storyline as of yet. I just continue to feel regardless of what his father says, it is not all what it seems. But intrigued.

A minor complaint for me. And I say again minor...it seems like the A story from go was Dani/Bill/Hayley with B story centered nicely around Nicole. I think I am just used to one or the other being dominant in a week with several subplots going on that felt loosely adjacent. Nicole's story has been nicely paced for me. But with the main part of Dani's story done...it just feels...??? haphazard. Heck, right now Dani feels C plot for me. I know she needs to be honestly, I think I'm just being impatient for the next main part in her plot.

Derek and Andre have more chemistry with each other than either of them has with Ashley. Andre did look hot though.

I’m still Team Hayley and I have no problem with Bill interceding on her behalf over how everyone at the country club is treating her, which I don’t think is right. There’s a big difference between “inconvenient consequences” and grown ass adults acting like bitchy high school mean girls lol. But it is good drama though. And I actually wouldn’t mind Bill blackmailing Vernon and Anita over all of this too.

I still have more sympathy for Bill/Hayley than I do for Dani, which has surprised me from the very beginning.

I feel like Shanice is either someone who is going home to her completely normal husband and three children to bitch about her day OR she's going to turn out to be a complete psycho.

I keep saying the same about Andre/Ashley. Cuz if it came down to having a period of time where it's Ashley/Andre/Dani...Dani would eat her alive. Not Nosy Nurse...that is more of a match.

Now you are talking! Shanice... has SOOOO much potential... In comparison to Ashley who is just losing precious airtime for the show. I'm not sure if I would put her right in the center of the action that fast... I would give her a slow-burn storyline and dip her toes into more leading aspects.

They can't ignore all the positive reactions to that character. It's a sign. The actress has incredible presence and comedic qualities.

Some of the greatest soap roles... have started small.

I actually think that Leslie is a part of all of this. Ted told her last week that he still has that lawyer on speed dial and since then it has me wondering if he went to Bill for help and maybe Anita and Vernon are holding on that info as well.

    • I don't believe for one minute that Henry was Russell. I watched Somerset from the time Roy Winsor then Robert J. Shaw took over and the only period that was interesting or watchable was when I believe Winifred Wolfe was head or co head and introduced Dale (Ellen affair) and someone was harming/murdering older folks. Then it was terrible. The last six months was a slight improvement over the prior six months but nowhere near Henry quality. I also don't believe P&G would have put him on a competing time slot show.  There is a Russ Kubeck born in 1952 from Connecticut but he would have likely been too young to get a head writing stint. Plus, Henry wouldn't have chosen that name as an alias. Look at his Wikipedia page for all the aliases he used.  The real Russ may have been the 1952 Russ's father and used his middle name. Also I believe Kubeck may have been a name changed from Kupecky or Kubecky.  Many changed their names during the Wars etc.
    • Nu-Ted looks like he was playing dress up today in that overgrown Blazer. He really is just not for me.
    • I just got home from work and will take a look at today's show in a bit. However, I was thinking about Silk Press Sheila and wondering if she would try to suck up to Mona... and thought to myself only someone suffering from delulu would try to suck up to Mona (Jan, I sort of understood why she tried).. and seeing that SPS is just delulu enough to suck to Mona makes me chuckle. I understand that Derek/Ashley are not end game (just like how on B & B when it started that Brooke/Dave were not end game)... but the show is going about this coupling in all the wrong ways.  Since the show seems to operate from a place of misandry, the way they're writing this Derek/Ashley conflict makes Ashley the bad one. I would have had the conflict rooted in two things: 1) Andre/Ashley's continued friendship.. which would have made Dani a bit jealous if she came across the two chatting and continued to make Derek left out/jealous 2) Derek/Hayley had good chemistry in terms of rapport so I would have had a couple of more scenes of the two running into one another out and about.  Perhaps she and Caroline could have been having a work lunch at Orphey Jean's.. and Derek comes in to get an order for his fellow crew.. and the two have a brief chat.  Maybe establish the two running into one another at Uptown while she waits for Bill and he waits for Ashley and/or Jacob.   And eventually Naomi or Jacob come across the two talking and they alert Ashley. That way the two would a legit argument over their jealousy over the others platonic interaction with someone of the opposite sex.   Just my two cents... and it would give Hayley something to do outside her continual 'honeymoon' with Bill.

    • YES to all of this! I have seen some fans refer to this as having either low stakes or no stakes & I think the stakes are & have been HUGE!!! I feel so for Gio right now & I'm sure he thinks everyone knows & feels angry, confused & betrayed. The list of people who are going to be mad at Lois is long. The list of people who are going to be mad at Lulu, not as long, but, exists likely. And, Gio did such a good job!! What in the world was Lois thinking would be accomplished by getting Brook Lynn to leave the premises NOW?!!  "Ladies & gentlemen, I'm going to do something I've never done before. I'm going to dedicate this to my parents - Brook Lynn Quartermaine & Dante Falconieri. Two people who didn't want me. They didn't claim me. They gave me away & lied to me my entire life." - Gio Palmieri, GH, 5-22-25

      That was embarrassing bad.
    • I am really bugged by the exterior shot that is gates & the only reason is because of the gates for Beyond The Gates.
    • I'd been pretty sure for months that they were going to reveal the big Gio secret during the Nurses' Ball, but the way they did it was pretty spectacular and exceeded my expectations. Good on the writers for not rushing this and instead giving us months worth of scenes that show off Gio's charm and great chemistry with the Qs, which made his devastated reaction today really mean something. Especially on a show with a cast as large as GH, we need time to build an emotional connection with a new character. I just hope they continue playing all the beats of this storyline for the next few weeks, because this reveal has huge repercussions for a whole bunch of characters and should lead to tons of organic conflict between them. I can't wait to see what Tracy will do when she finds out that Lulu was responsible for this reveal.
    • For as much as Bill Bell focused on "social issue" stories, the Brad-going-blind story seems like a real dud to me. Of course someone going blind would have to experience all the emotions and go through a mourning period, but blind people are productive members of society, and Brad as a former physician would have known that.  Instead he is acting like his blindness would be a curse upon Leslie, destroying her growing performing career, which just isn't true. They could hire an aide to stay with Brad when Leslie is traveling.  But no... The show did it much better with Hope in the 90s. Though I would have liked to have seen Hope thriving in more settings (I think we heard about her volunteering but it was offscreen) at least the writers didn't have her miraculously regain her sight, like Brad did.
