Boy this is the kind of Sonny-centric episode that makes me wish they really were killing him off. It's like they're playing the "greatest hits" of all the annoying Sonny storylines they've done in the past, including mawkish scenes with Max Gail's Mike plus Stephen A Smith having a slow-motion shootout in a hospital room.

Some of us, fans of GH I mean, are convinced that MB is in fact leaving. I take it you are not one. Me, personally, current theory is that he fakes his death, but we'll see, and, yes, of course, this could be Lucy with Charlie Brown & the football.

I remember getting my hopes up back in 2012, when Ron and Frank came in and reduced the focus on Sonny. So I'm wary. And I don't even need MB to leave. If they just write up a new contract that cuts his episode count in half, I'll be happy.

Wait, let me double back with a question for you ... In terms of what you truly wish were going to happen, what, specifically, is important to you? Just that MB & Sonny be gone from the show/doesn't matter how. Sonny dead daid. Sonny fakes his death & with or without Brenda settles on some island hideaway. Sonny loses the referendum ballot badly. Sonny has more visions with dead people including Morgan, Lenny from Nixon Falls, a 10 year old Adela Irene, Sam McCall. (Yes, it's multiple choice but you have the option to write in your own.

You can disregard my next post. And, yes, I got my hopes up about a year and a half ago. I get it.

Agreed.  The whole Sonny sees Mike in Heaven was a time waster.  The shootout was so silly.  And honestly, no viewer is concerned Sonny will die.

The rest of the show wasn't bad.  Obviously, I could do without the Special Agent Joss thing, but that wasn't a huge part of today.

Having to listen to Alexis be berated by her psychopathic daughter was so annoying. I’m ready for Ric or Ava or ANYONE at this point to tell Molly Kristina almost killed her dad.

Today was just funny 😂😂😂😂😂

And yeah, despite Gio being blind, I still really love his and Tracy's relationship. I can't wait to see what happens when the truth finally comes out.

I was hoping Tracy would mention Sonny murdering her nephew. It’s not like Gio is 5. He should know what he’s defending.

Clearly, if he isn't able to handle the lines, he shouldn't be given them. At all. A true actor⏤who is solid in their craft, especially in daytime⏤would study the lines and not need them on a prompter or their damn hand. It wasn't even subtly done. What is this? A test cheat sheet for school?

This is not uncommon for soap actors - I remember one talking about their co-star going up on his lines because he or she smudged their hands on a cloth or something during taping - but if they are going to let Maurice do this they should make sure to keep his hands out of shot.

Sadly, I don't see any sign the show knows or cares MB struggles with his lines daily. If they did, they'd give him fewer lines and fewer scenes.

I realize he has a guarantee for so many shows a week, but do we really need to see him 5x a week? It's awful.

Those scenes with Dead Mike were supposed to be emotional, I guess, but they did nothing for me. Hearing Sonny worry about the safety of his family is ridiculous and hilarious when all he needed to do was walk away from the gang life.

And yeah, making Gio clueless about his Uncle Sonny doesn't work. I can see him being loyal, but he doesn't have to be stupid and ignorant about all that's gone on.

I think - admittedly I never cared about the Sonny/Mike relationship - it's tough to care about Mike without Ron Hale in the role.

The conflict of Gio leaning toward Sonny would be smart if Sonny was not so played out, and if there was better setup.

Agreed.  Max Gail did a great job with his material although the story went on too long.  I know Ron Hale retired, but the relationship was never the same for me after he left.  I can't really pinpoint why it felt different to me.

Kristina is looney tunes

She's been ruined. It's a shame. Maybe there will be some redemption down the line.

I can’t believe how much I despise the character now.
