what difference does it make? You're arguing semantics at this point. If the show is off the air, its cancelled. ABC cancelled all of their other owned soaps and if and when that ever happens to GH, the same verbiage will be used

Where am I arguing, though? I'm not in an argument; it's called a conversation. And of course the same verbiage would be used; the human species is dumb.

Arguing

1. give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view.

2. exchange or express diverging or opposite views, typically in a heated or angry way.

I used the word in context of definition 1, not 2, which was part of the conversation. And it doesnt make anyone dumb for using the cancel verbiage if ABC ended, because that would be exactly what it is.

If NBC had wanted to cancel them they could have. At the time I did think they were moving them to Peacock to cancel the show more easily but it's run on there a few years longer than I had expected.

I like Chris McKenna and Cosgrove is OK, but I wish they'd tried a soap newcomer in the part.

I can assure you, I was neither heated nor angry. At all.

But believe what you want; you're entitled to your wrong opinion. I'm telling you I wasn't arguing. That's my fact.  Enjoy the rest of your evening, Cheap.

Wasn't my aim, either. But thanks for the definition of "arguing," which I did not need.

This. Because how can one not get snarky about yet another hire when there are so many on contract they should/could be using.

I'll be very surprised if Nina is paired with anyone on this show ever again, especially since she's been so drastically back-burned over the last year or so and this show doesn't seem to have any real interest in her. I feel like Nina may more than likely remain single for the rest of her days or at least for as long as this show continues to be on air. Honestly I think she's better off single anyway and she is better off as a supportive friend and talk to than being a viable romantic interest to any potential leading man.

Well, I think it's a terrible waste. If you bring Cynthia Watros on what I want is full bore OTT & back again, crazy as a loon!! Of course, that's really changing the subject from romantic pairing! LOL.

Well, that's different from having a romantic interest. Honestly, since they are not using Nina that much anyway as a character, they should just ultimately write her off by having her go crazy and insane while ending things with a big bang. Big bonus if she somehow manages to have both Willow and Drew killed in the process.

    • Dear sweet June, you'll get it right eventually.  In the meantime it's a good chuckle.

    • Damn, Leslie went in on Shanice... poor girl! Leslie really can't handle stress or certain emotions well, she lashes out. I also think it's weird she wants to know so many details about Eva's love/sex life. Vernon was sweet to June. It was nice (realistic) to see a customer complain to her though while she's still trying to establish herself. I'll be that guy, but for me personally, my enthusiam/excitement over the show has stalled yet again over the last couple weeks. For the majority, it seems like we're in a holding pattern until Winterfest. It's like they don't want to rock the boat or do much until then, which leaves us in a quiet period here. Are sweeps a thing still these days? Seems odd that we're having a slow November. That ending was good, but I saw that coming... in theory it should have a quick resolution, but I'm guessing Leslie will expose it at Winterfest and it'll get throw out of proportion haha.
    • Yes. Why? I don't really care. Vanessa is also acting dumb, trying to run between tables, on a date with Ross in one room and a business meeting with Alan in another.  One of the few times Van is written as less than the smart woman she was.
    • I've been specifically looking for the episodes for Ross and Van together, because they essentially both raise Dinah at that period and the recaps around her typically avoid the Dorie years, the carnies, or Alan-Michael and Cam. I'm really just trying to trace a throughline between Paige, Wendy, and Gina. The last two are "easy," but it just messes with my timeline when Dinah thinks Alan-Michael would kill Ross. Then again, that Alan-Michael slept with his own stepdaughter, so...
    • Anyway...they literally mentioned the secret room today on Days and yes, this show needs a Kristen lesbian story lol.
    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
    • Was that when she put on the"Slut of Springfield" red dress and made a complete ass of herself at the CC, so of course Alan fell madly in love with her on the spot?
    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
